What is the Manekin in Genshin Impact?

A Manekin gifted to you and Paimon by a witch who uses the pseudonym "Octavia." They are gifted at exploring the mysteries sealed within the Miliastra Wonderland.

The Manekin/Manekina in Genshin Impact is a playable character free with the release of Miliastra Wonderland. They come in 2 variations of the Manekin(Male) or Manekina(Female) for different body types. The Manekin can also be played outside of Miliastra Wonderland inside of the base game of Genshin Impact albeit with some restrictions.

Miliastra Wonderland's Manekins

Our guide will explain exactly how the Manekin and Manekina work, build advice, upgrade requirements and anything else important you need to know about the Manekins in Genshin Impact.

1.1.

The Manekin Can be Any Element

The Manekin/Manekina can be played as any of the elements available in Genshin Impact and can be freely swapped. The only restriction is that the current element available on your Manekin/Manekina is the same element as your Traveler's. Meaning if your Traveler is Dendro, your Manekins will also be.

The element of your Manekin does not directly change how any of your skills work. However, the Manekin is mostly an on-field DPS who infuses their element to their attacks so element match-ups are something to consider.

1.2.

Restrictions With the Manekin & Manekina

The playable Manekin outside of Miliastra Wonderland has a few restrictions and changes compared to your traditional character in Genshin Impact. On top of having no Constellations or material requirements to level, the Manekin cannot be played in endgame modes.

This means that the Manekin will be unable to function as an additional character in Imaginarium Theater or anything like that. They simply exist to have fun in the open world instead.

Additionally, only 1 Manekin/Manekina can be in your party at the same time meaning you cannot simply use both characters at once. The different characters are more there as options for which model you want to use/what outfits you have saved onto that Manekin.

2.

Manekin & Manekina Skills

The Manekin/Manekina feature Attacks, Skill and Burst alongside passives which are different to the Traveler which allows you to play them in the open world. There is no need for any leveling priority as the Manekin's skills level as you level them to 90.

Manekin's Utility Passive Agile Stance is extra special because it allows you to change your outfit simply as you explore Teyvat.

Elemental Skill

The Manekin attacks nearby opponents once, dealing AoE DMG corresponding to their own Elemental Type before pulling back rapidly. After unleashing an Elemental Skill, the Manekin's Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, and Plunging Attacks are converted to deal the corresponding elemental DMG, which cannot be overridden by other Elemental infusions, for a period of time.

Has 2 charges.

"A well-measured blow is a necessary warning."

Elemental Burst

The Manekin summons a "Restricted Area" that follows them around, dealing 1 instance of DMG corresponding to the Manekin's Elemental Type to nearby opponents.

Additionally, when opponents enter the Restricted Area, they will receive 1 instance of DMG corresponding to the Manekin's Elemental Type. This effect can trigger once every 0.5s.

The Restricted Area will disappear when the Manekin leaves the field.

"Those who insist on trespassing within the restricted area will be regarded as hostile and expelled with maximum force."

Manekin/Manekina Upgrade Requirements

Upgrading your Manekin/Manekina in Genshin Impact is a little different compared to other characters. There are no material requirements to level but instead the requirements are that you reach certain milestones inside of Miliastra Wonderland itself.

The Manekin also has no constellations meaning you cannot level talents to lv13.

3.1.

Manekin Level Requirements

To level up the Manekin, instead of materials players need to reach specific levels in Miliastra Wonderland. Leveling the Manekin will also automatically level all 3 talents so no investment is required.

The requirement is simply to hit level 10 in Miliastra Wonderland. That being said, players are also able to level Manekin above lv90 and up to lv100 using Masterless Stella Fortuna just like any other playable character.

Manekin & Manekina Build Advice

While upgrades and leveling come free, the actual build for your Manekin does not. The Manekin is a Sword character who ascends off of ATK % but generally does quite low damage.

With your element being dependant on the Traveler's element, any Manekin build generally shouldn’t use any sets/weapons that focus on specific Elements or team compositions. Instead, aim for more of a universal build.

Additionally, the Manekin cannot be played in any content that has real damage checks or requirements, so feel free to have a little fun with the build.

Weapon Options
  1. 5-Star CRIT/ATK Stat Sticks
  2. The Black Sword
  3. Blackcliff Longsword
  4. Wolf-Fang
Best Artifacts
  1. Gladiator's Finale
Main Stats
  • Sand Stats: ATK %
  • Goblet Stats: ATK %
  • Circlet Stats: CRIT Rate / DMG
Substat Priority
  1. Energy Recharge to requirements
  2. CRIT Rate / DMG
  3. ATK %

With that in mind, Gladiator's Finale is a great generalist option as your Manekin takes up most of the field time while the set also has no restrictions with elements/team compositions compared to other pieces. Weapon's you just generally want to utilise something that increases CRIT Rate/DMG or ATK %.
