Prune Guide & Best Builds

Welcome to our Prune build guide for Genshin Impact. Prune is a 4-Star Anemo support character who focuses on providing strong team-wide ATK buffs while enabling Swirl reactions. In this guide, we'll cover everything you need to build Prune effectively, including her best weapons, artifacts, stat priorities, and playstyle.

Best Weapons for Prune

Listed below are Prune's best weapons. Since Prune does not deal much personal damage, her weapon choices mainly focus on increasing ATK and Energy Recharge to maximize her buffs and Burst uptime.

Angelos' Heptades

Crown of the Final Scion

Base ATK: 741

ATK: 16.5%

ATK is increased by 12% / 15% / 18% / 21% / 24%. After the equipping character creates a Shield, they gain "Pathfinder's Light" for 20s: Increases your active party member's DMG by 10% / 13% / 16% / 19% / 22% for every 1,000 ATK the equipping character has, up to a maximum of 26% / 34% / 42% / 50% / 58%. Additionally, when the equipping character creates a Shield, they will also gain "Guide's Contentment": Restores 14 / 15 / 16 / 17 / 18 Elemental Energy to the equipping character. The aforementioned effect can trigger once every 14s, and can also be triggered when any type of chest is opened outside of combat. The equipping character may trigger this effect even when they are an off-field.
Hexerei: Secret Rite: When your own Hexerei character is off-field in the party, they will also gain 50% of the DMG increase from Pathfinder's Light.

Angelos' Heptades is one of Prune’s best-in-slot weapons, especially if you do not have Nicole in your team. It provides extremely high Base ATK and useful passive buffs depending on the team setup. However, Prune cannot fully utilize its shield-related effects.
Skyward Atlas

Wandering Clouds

Base ATK: 674

ATK: 33.1%

Increases Elemental DMG Bonus by 12% / 15% / 18% / 21% / 24%. Normal Attack hits have a 50% chance to earn the favor of the clouds, which actively seek out nearby opponents to attack for 15s, dealing 160% / 200% / 240% / 280% / 320% ATK DMG. Can only occur once every 30s.

Skyward Atlas is a strong option due to its very high Base ATK and ATK% secondary stat, which directly improves Prune’s buffing capabilities while also slightly increasing her personal damage.
Memory of Dust

Golden Majesty

Base ATK: 608

ATK: 49.6%

Increases Shield Strength by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%. Scoring hits on opponents increases ATK by 4% / 5% / 6% / 7% / 8% for 8s. Max 5 stacks. Can only occur once every 0.3s. While protected by a shield, this ATK increase effect is increased by 100%.

Memory of Dust remains a solid option thanks to its high Base ATK and ATK% stat. While its shield-based passive is not fully utilized by Prune, the raw stats alone make it a strong pick.
Oathsworn Eye

People of the Faltering Light

Base ATK: 565

ATK: 27.6%

Increases Energy Recharge by 24% / 30% / 36% / 42% / 48% for 10s after using an Elemental Skill.

Oathsworn Eye is one of the best 4-Star options, providing ATK% and additional Energy Recharge through its passive, allowing Prune to use her Burst more consistently.
Dodoco Tales

Dodoventure!

Base ATK: 454

ATK: 55.1%

Normal Attack hits on opponents increase Charged Attack DMG by 16% / 20% / 24% / 28% / 32% for 6s. Charged Attack hits on opponents increase ATK by 8% / 10% / 12% / 14% / 16% for 6s.

Dodoco Tales is a decent offensive option with strong ATK scaling. Its passive increases ATK after Charged Attacks, making it a viable alternative when focusing on maximizing buff strength.
Favonius Codex

Windfall

Base ATK: 510

Energy Recharge: 45.9%

CRIT Hits have a 60% / 70% / 80% / 90% / 100% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12s / 10.5s / 9s / 7.5s / 6s.

Favonius Codex is one of the best support options, especially when Prune is the only Anemo unit in the team. It provides Energy Recharge and generates particles for herself and her teammates, improving overall team rotation.

Best Artifacts for Prune

Viridescent Venerer

Viridescent Venerer

2-Piece Set: Anemo DMG Bonus +15%

4-Piece Set: Increases Swirl DMG by 60%. Decreases opponent's Elemental RES to the element infused in the Swirl by 40% for 10s.

Viridescent Venerer is Prune’s best-in-slot Artifact set and will be used in most teams. Since Prune is often the only Anemo unit, this set provides massive RES shred through Swirl, making it the strongest overall support option.
Celestial Gift

Celestial Gift

2-Piece Set: Energy Recharge +20%.

4-Piece Set: If the equipping character has completed Witch's Homework, after they use an Elemental Skill, they gain "Light's Guidance" for 20s: All nearby party members gain a 20% Elemental DMG Bonus corresponding to the equipping character's Elemental Type. The equipping character can trigger this effect while off-field. DMG Bonuses provided by Artifact Sets with the same name do not stack.\n· When your party has the Hexerei: Secret Rite effect, Light's Guidance is upgraded to "Mortal Hymn": All nearby party members gain a 40% Elemental DMG Bonus corresponding to both the equipping character and the current active party member's Elemental Type instead. If both characters have the same Elemental Type, these bonuses will not stack.

Celestial Gift is a strong alternative, providing up to 40% damage bonus to the team. This set is mainly used when another character (such as Nicole) is not already holding it.
Gladiator's Finale

Gladiator's Finale

2-Piece Set: ATK +18%.

4-Piece Set: If the wielder of this artifact set uses a Sword, Claymore or Polearm, increases their Normal Attack DMG by 35%.

2-piece ATK combinations are also viable for Prune. Sets such as Gladiator’s Finale, Shimenawa’s Reminiscence, Vermillion Hereafter, Echoes of an Offering, Unfinished Reverie, Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods, and Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy all provide ATK bonuses. Any 2-piece + 2-piece ATK setup works well since Prune scales heavily with ATK for her buffs.

Recommended Stats for Prune

As a support, Prune focuses primarily on ATK and Energy Recharge. Other stats such as CRIT are lower priority.

HP: 18,000-20,000
ATK: 2,500-3,000
CRIT Rate: 20-30%
CRIT DMG: 100%
ER: 160-190%

Prune's Talent Priority

Talent Priority: The Bell Tolls! The Hunt Is On! > Ring-A-Ding-Ding! Hexhunter Chime >>> Normal Attack

Prune’s Elemental Burst is her highest priority as it provides the majority of her team buffs. Her Elemental Skill should be leveled next, while her Normal Attacks can be ignored.

How to Play Prune

Prune is a quick-swap Anemo support whose main role is to buff team damage through ATK scaling while triggering Swirl reactions off-field.

Her gameplay revolves around generating Infused Oathhammer attacks via her Skill and Burst. These attacks activate her main buff, increasing team-wide damage based on her ATK.

In practice, her rotation is very simple:

  • Use Elemental Skill (second cast is usually skipped to save time)
  • Cast Elemental Burst to summon her bell
  • Swap to your main DPS while her off-field effects continue

Prune does not require field time and instead provides buffs and reactions passively.

Key Playstyle Points:

  • Prioritize high ATK and sufficient Energy Recharge
  • Use her as a low field-time support
  • Trigger consistent Swirl reactions to maintain buffs
  • Best in reaction-heavy teams

In short: Prune is a fast-rotation support who boosts team damage through Swirl and ATK scaling while spending minimal time on-field.

Prune's Best Constellations

Prune does not need many Constellations to function properly, but her C1, C2, and C6 are her most notable upgrades.

With a Vow to Rescue, the Journey Begins C1 is a strong quality-of-life Constellation that provides extra Energy particles, helping solve Prune's Energy Recharge issues. This is especially valuable because Prune wants to use her Elemental Burst every rotation.

Useful for Cleaning Messy Baggage, Elemental Powers Are Indeed C2 is a massive buff for Prune herself, helping her reach her ATK requirement more easily. This is important because Prune wants around 4,000 ATK to provide up to a 50% damage bonus to the team.

And That's the Story! Share It With Your Friends! C6 is Prune's biggest support upgrade, providing a flat 350 ATK buff to the active character. This makes her even stronger as a universal ATK-scaling support.
