Xilonen Guide & Best Builds

Welcome to our Xilonen build guide for Genshin Impact. Xilonen is a 5-Star Geo Support Character who provides powerful Elemental RES Shred, team buffs, healing, and utility across a wide variety of team compositions. In our guide, we'll cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Xilonen, from building the best Artifacts and Weapons to important stat priorities and rotations.

Best Weapons for Xilonen

Listed below are Xilonen's best weapons. While weapons are listed in a priority order, what is best can vary depending on the team composition and whether you need more Energy Recharge, stronger team buffs, or additional personal damage.

Peak Patrol Song R1

Halcyon Years Unending

Base ATK: 542

DEF: 82.7%

Gain "Ode to Flowers" after Normal or Plunging Attacks hit an opponent: DEF increases by 8% / 10% / 12% / 14% / 16% and gain a 10% / 12.5% / 15% / 17.5% / 20% All Elemental DMG Bonus for 6s. Max 2 stacks. Can trigger once per 0.1s. When this effect reaches 2 stacks or the 2nd stack's duration is refreshed, increase all nearby party members' All Elemental DMG Bonus by 8% / 10% / 12% / 14% / 16% for every 1,000 DEF the equipping character has, up to a maximum of 25.6% / 32% / 38.4% / 44.8% / 51.2%, for 15s.

Peak Patrol Song is Xilonen's signature weapon and her best-in-slot option. It provides a substantial amount of DEF and allows her to contribute non-negligible personal damage. It also grants the team an Elemental DMG Bonus based on her DEF, greatly increasing her value as a support. However, it does not help with Energy generation, so you may need more Energy Recharge from artifacts.
Favonius Sword R5

Windfall

Base ATK: 454

Energy Recharge: 61.3%

CRIT Hits have a 60% / 70% / 80% / 90% / 100% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12s / 10.5s / 9s / 7.5s / 6s.

Favonius Sword is one of Xilonen's best support options thanks to its Energy Recharge sub-stat, which helps her use her Burst every rotation when needed. Its passive can also generate Energy particles for the team, making it especially useful in teams with higher Energy demands. Xilonen does need some CRIT Rate to trigger the passive consistently, and the weapon is most reliable at higher refinements.
Freedom-Sworn R1

Revolutionary Chorale

Base ATK: 608

Elemental Mastery: 198

A part of the "Millennial Movement" that wanders amidst the winds. Increases DMG by 10% / 12.5% / 15% / 17.5% / 20%. When the character wielding this weapon triggers Elemental Reactions, they gain a Sigil of Rebellion. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field. When you possess 2 Sigils of Rebellion, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain "Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance" for 12s. "Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance" increases Normal, Charged and Plunging Attack DMG by 16% / 20% / 24% / 28% / 32% and increases ATK by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Rebellion for 20s. Of the many effects of the "Millennial Movement," buffs of the same type will not stack.

Freedom-Sworn is a viable option if your team can make good use of its buffs, especially the increase to Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack damage. Xilonen does not particularly need the Elemental Mastery on the weapon, but her kit is flexible enough that it remains usable. Like Peak Patrol Song, it does not help with Energy generation, so additional Energy Recharge from artifacts may be needed.
Skyrider Sword R5

Determination

Base ATK: 354

Energy Recharge: 52.1%

Using an Elemental Burst grants a 12% / 15% / 18% / 21% / 24% increase in ATK and Movement SPD for 15s.

Skyrider Sword is Xilonen's best accessible free-to-play option thanks to its Energy Recharge sub-stat. It is easy to obtain and works well as a temporary weapon until you get a better support option.
Flute of Ezpitzal R5

Smoke-and-Mirror Mystery

Base ATK: 454

DEF: 69.0%

Using an Elemental Skill increases DEF by 16% / 20% / 24% / 28% / 32% for 15s.

Flute of Ezpitzal is a strong craftable option that provides DEF% through both its main stat and passive. This increases Xilonen's healing and personal damage. However, since it offers no Energy utility, you may need stronger Energy Recharge rolls on artifacts to Burst every rotation.

Best Artifacts for Xilonen

Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City

Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City

2-Piece Set: When a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, the equipping character regenerates 6 Elemental Energy.

4-Piece Set: After the equipping character triggers a reaction related to their Elemental Type, all nearby party members gain a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for the Elemental Types involved in the elemental reaction for 15s. If the equipping character is in the Nightsoul's Blessing state when triggering this effect, all nearby party members gain an additional 28% Elemental DMG Bonus for the Elemental Types involved in the elemental reaction for 20s. The equipping character can trigger this effect while off-field, and the DMG bonus from Artifact Sets with the same name do not stack.

Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City is Xilonen's best artifact set in most teams. As a Natlan character, she can fully utilize the 4-piece effect to provide a large Elemental DMG Bonus to the element involved in the reaction she triggers. The 2-piece effect also helps with Energy generation in teams with other Natlan characters. However, this set is much less useful in teams that cannot benefit from its Elemental DMG Bonus, such as Lunar Reaction teams.
Instructor

Instructor

2-Piece Set: Increases Elemental Mastery by 80.

4-Piece Set: Upon triggering an Elemental Reaction, increases all party members' Elemental Mastery by 120 for 8s.

Instructor is a strong alternative when another Natlan teammate is already using Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City, since duplicate Scroll sets do not stack. This set grants Elemental Mastery after Xilonen triggers a reaction, making it especially strong in Melt and Vaporize teams.
Archaic Petra

Archaic Petra

2-Piece Set: Gain a 15% Geo DMG Bonus.

4-Piece Set: Upon obtaining an Elemental Shard created through Crystallize or triggering a Lunar-Crystallize reaction, all party members gain a 35% DMG Bonus for that particular element for 10s. Only one form of Elemental DMG Bonus can be gained in this manner at any one time.

Archaic Petra is another alternative if the Scroll set is already covered by someone else. It can provide a team-wide Elemental DMG Bonus after Xilonen picks up a Crystallize shard. To use this reliably, you generally want the enemy to have enough elemental aura before using Xilonen's Skill into Normal Attack combo.
Noblesse Oblige

Noblesse Oblige

2-Piece Set: Elemental Burst DMG +20%

4-Piece Set: Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members' ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack.

Noblesse Oblige is a viable support option if Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City is already equipped by another teammate. It grants an ATK buff after Xilonen uses her Burst, but because the set provides no Energy utility, Xilonen will generally need more Energy Recharge from artifacts.

Xilonen's Stat Priority

Sands of Eon: Energy Recharge / DEF %
Goblet of Eonothem: DEF %
Circlet of Logos: DEF % / CRIT Rate
Substats: Energy Recharge > DEF % > CRIT Rate (Favonius Sword) > Flat DEF

Xilonen mainly wants DEF and Energy Recharge. DEF increases both her healing and personal damage, while Energy Recharge helps ensure she can use her Burst consistently when the team needs it.

If you are using Favonius Sword, CRIT Rate becomes much more important so that she can trigger the weapon's passive reliably. In those cases, a CRIT Rate Circlet can often be her best option.

Recommended Stats for Xilonen

Build recommendations assume a support-focused Xilonen. Exact requirements can vary depending on your team, weapon choice, and whether another teammate already covers certain buffs.

HP: 18,000-22,000
ATK: 1,000-1,300
CRIT Rate: 30-50% (Favonius Sword)
ER: 180-220%
DEF: 2,500-3,500+

Xilonen's Talent Priority

Talent Priority: Yohual's Scratch > Ocelotlicue Point! > Ehecatl's Roar

Xilonen's Elemental Skill is the most important part of her kit and should be leveled first. Her Burst is also valuable for healing and additional utility. Her Normal Attack is generally the lowest priority for her standard support build.

How to Play Xilonen

Xilonen is primarily used as a support who provides Elemental RES Shred, team buffs, and healing. Her gameplay is generally very straightforward, with most of her value coming from using her Skill and activating her Source Samples.

In most teams, Xilonen wants to enter the field, use Yohual's Scratch, perform the required attacks to activate her effects, and then swap out so the main damage dealer can benefit from her support utility.

Her Burst should be used when healing is needed or when your team rotation allows for it. If you are using a weapon such as Favonius Sword, make sure Xilonen has enough CRIT Rate to reliably trigger its passive and help battery the team.
