Assignments Overview and Recommended Assignments
Assignments are a passive, resource-gathering system that lets you send characters on timed missions to earn useful materials. Unlocked early in the game, this feature helps support your team’s growth without using Trailblaze Power. It's a simple yet effective way to keep collecting resources in the background as you play.
What are Assignments Honkai: Star Rail?
Assignments are a feature within Honkai: Star Rail that allows players to send their characters on missions to collect valuable resources such as Character Materials, Credits, EXP Materials and Synthesis Materials. This system becomes available once you reach Trailblaze Level 12 and complete the Trailblaze Mission Long Wait for the Blade's Edge.
Assignments work by choosing two characters to undertake a mission. Upon successful completion, you'll receive the associated rewards. If one or both characters match the recommended Path for the mission, you’ll earn bonus rewards.
Some Things to Consider Dailies
- A character can only participate in one mission at a time.
- You can set the mission duration — it's recommended to choose longer times as they give better rewards.
- If you cancel a mission before it’s completed, the characters are returned immediately, but no rewards will be granted so it's not recommended.
- As you advance in the story, the number of assignments you can undertake will gradually increase.
- If you already have lots of materials think about undertaking Credit Assignments as you will be using them a lot as you upgrade your characters and Light Cones.
