Introductions
Herta is a 4-Star character with the Ice element who
follows the Path of Erudition. Herta is an AoE DPS unit who can be
SP efficient in dual setups as well as being rather energy efficient thanks to
her Talent's follow-up attacks and low cost. Herta is mainly used in teams for
endgame content such as Pure Fiction but is not frequently used outside of this
due to her kit being rather unimpressive.
Our Herta Build Guide will show you the best Light Cones, Relics, and
team compositions to help you build the best Herta.

Character Overview
Herta is a dedicated AoE damage dealer, her kit can repeatedly trigger chained damage as well as rapid energy gain. While she rarely does well in single boss fights, she scales very well in fights with high enemy counts, turning her into a great wave clearing character especially in Pure Fiction.
What makes Herta especially notable for many players is her accessibility. She is freely obtainable, and her Eidolons are also earned through gameplay progression, allowing her to scale without relying on investment. These Eidolons gradually improve her consistency, CRIT potential and follow-up damage, helping her move from a beginner friendly into a stronger endgame pick in the right content.
Kit Overview
Herta's gameplay revolves around follow-up attacks. Whenever an ally brings an enemy below 50% HP, she immediately launches a follow-up strike that hits all enemies. This mechanic can trigger multiple times in quick succession if several enemies cross that threshold in the same window, leading to explosive bursts of stacked AoE damage. Because each follow-up hit also restores Energy, she therefore accelerates her Ultimate cycle.
Her's Skill reinforces this, by hitting all enemies at once and gaining extra effectiveness against higher HP targets, helping her push enemies into follow-up range. Her Ultimate is a low-cost, AoE attack that further enhances her wave clearing consistency and benefits heavily from the frequent Energy generation she receives through both kills and follow-up triggers.
However, Herta's effectiveness drops heavily in single-target scenarios. Without multiple enemies to enable repeated follow-ups, she loses most of her damage output and becomes far less impactful compared to other DPS units. This makes her a highly situational character, exceptional in the right environment, but limited outside of it.
Team Synergy
When Herta is used alongside The Herta, her build shifts from being a main damage dealer to a supportive Sub-DPS focused on enhancing team output. In this setup, she prioritises Energy Regeneration Rate so she can use her Ultimate more frequently, which contributes to follow-up attacks and overall team damage. The 4-piece Eagle of Twilight Line set further enhances this by advancing her action after using her Ultimate, allowing her to take more turns, generate more Skill Points for the team and trigger additional attacks.
Rather than maximising her own damage, this build focuses on increasing overall team DPS. Herta provides consistent AoE damage and frequent follow-ups, which complements The Herta's stronger carry potential. Together, they form a double Erudition setup where Herta supports energy generation and enemy clearing, while The Herta deals the majority of the damage.

Herta's Best Eidolons
- E2 – Herta's best Eidolon, great for Pure Fiction and AoE content. Improves her CRIT Rate up to 15%.
- E4 – Enhances all her sources of DMG when triggering her Talent. Due to the high frequency of talent triggers this will provide her with a nice boost.
- E6 – Another nice upgrade for her ATK when using her ultimate. In teams where she prioritises ERR the uptime on this can be much higher.
- E1 – Due to the infrequent use of her Basic ATK this doesn't have much of an impact but does provide a small amount of damage should she use it.
