Introductions
Hook is a 4-Star character with the Fire element
who follows the Path of Destruction. Hook is a single target DPS who
can also deal blast damage through her enhanced skill. In addition to dealing
decent amounts of single target damage, Hook also inflicts enemies with a "Burn"
debuff where they take Fire DoT. Burn is a core part of her kit and contributes
significantly to her overall damage output.

Hook Build Comments
Hook is a single target Fire DPS who can also deal AoE Blast damage through her Enhanced Skill. Her kit focuses on applying Burn to enemies and taking advantage of that effect for additional damage and support. Once a target is Burning, Hook's Talent adds extra Fire damage to her attacks while also regenerating 5 Energy, allowing her Ultimate to become available more frequently over the course of a fight.
Using her Ultimate enhances her next Skill, increasing its damage and adding limited AoE potential against nearby enemies. The rotation is straightforward and easy to understand, making Hook an accessible DPS option, with a simple and consistent play style that focuses on maintaining Burn and dealing steady damage.
Hook's Bonus Traces improve survivability and consistency by providing minor self-healing, increased resistance to crowd control effects and extra Energy alongside an Action Advance after using her Ultimate. These effects help maintain steady combat and keep her enhanced attacks available more often.
Hook's Eidolons further strengthen her Burn focused play style by increasing damage, extending Burn duration and allowing Burn to spread more effectively to adjacent enemies. At higher Eidolon levels, she becomes a noticeably more reliable and able damage dealer.
While she has been overtaken by more recent and stronger Fire characters, Hook remains a solid choice for players who need accessible Fire damage, particularly in fights centred around defeating a single Fire weak enemy.

Hook's Best Eidolons
- E6 – Hook's E6 increases the DMG she deals to enemies afflicted with Burn by 20%. Since Hook can consistently apply Burn, this bonus has excellent uptime and provides a reliable increase to her overall damage output.
- E1 – Hook's E1 increases the DMG dealt by her Enhanced Skill by 20%. Since her Enhanced Skill is one of her main sources of heavy damage, this Eidolon provides a simple and consistent boost to her overall damage output.
- E4 – Eidolon 4 makes it so when her Talent is triggered, there is a 100% base chance to inflict Burn on enemies adjacent to the target enemy. This improves her ability to spread her Burn debuff in multi-target situations, increasing both her overall damage output and the consistency of her Burn uptime.
- E2 – The duration of the Burn debuff is extended by 1 turn when it is inflicted by Hook's Skill. This improves the consistency and uptime of her DoT effect, allowing her to maintain Burn on enemies more reliably.
