Honkai: Star Rail Trailblaze Level and Equilibrium Level Guide

As you play through Honkai: Star Rail, many Missions, Events, and various Exploration features will reward you with Experience, also known as Trailblaze EXP. This is a measurement of your Trailblazing Journey progress thus far. Once you have reached certain Trailblaze Levels, you will have the opportunity to complete Trials of Equilibrium. Completing these Trials of Equilibrium will provide you with permanent reward upgrades.

2.

Trailblaze Level

In Honkai: Star Rail, the highest Trailblaze Level you can achieve currently is Level 70. You can obtain rewards from Pom-Pom, the Astral Express Train Conductor, each time your Trailblaze Level goes up.

Some of the rewards include Stellar Jades, Star Rail Passes, Trailblaze Power Fuels, Destruction Trailblazer Eidolons, and so much more. See the bottom of this guide for a full list of rewards.

In addition to the above, whenever you reach Trailblaze Levels 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 65, you will reach a Level Cap and receive a corresponding Trial of Equilibrium. The Trials of Equilibrium must be completed for you to continue earning Trailblaze Levels.

How to Get Trailblaze EXP

There are a few ways to obtain Trailblaze EXP, with the majority of it coming from just playing through everything the game has to offer.

  • Completing Missions and Events
  • Completing the Interastral Peace Guide's Daily Training
  • Using Trailblaze Power
  • Exploring the Universe, Solving Puzzles, and Treasure Hunting
  • Completing Simulated Universe
3.1.

Missions and Events

The primary source of Trailblaze EXP will come from completing your Trailblaze Missions and various Events in the Travel Log.

The Trailblaze Missions are the missions you must complete for the Main Story in Honkai: Star Rail. In addition, there are also other types of Missions you can do, such as Trailblaze Continuances, Companion Missions, and Adventure Missions. All of these Missions can give you Trailblaze EXP.

Travel Log events are categorized into two types: Limited-Time and Conventional Memoir. The limited-time events are exclusive to each Version Update period, whereas Conventional Memoir events are permanently available after release. Some limited-time events will not provide any Trailblaze EXP, but offers other valuable rewards instead.

3.2.

Daily Training

Every day at Server Reset, players can complete a series of tasks and earn Activity Points. For every 100 Activity Points earned each day, you can obtain valuable rewards such as Trailblaze EXP and Stellar Jades. You can obtain up to 500 Activity Points each day, and various tasks can provide different amounts of Activity Points.

Players are highly recommended to complete these daily, as the rewards refresh. You cannot obtain past Daily Training rewards once the day has been reset.

To learn more about Daily Training, see our guide below:

3.3.

Trailblaze Power

Every day, the game will feature a replenishable resource known as Trailblaze Power. Whenever you use Trailblaze Power to obtain rewards, it will also include Trailblaze EXP.

Your Trailblaze Power recovers once every 6 minutes, up to a maximum capacity of 300 Trailblaze Power. Any excess Trailblaze Power goes into the Reserved Trailblaze Power, which increases once every 18 minutes. The Reserved Trailblaze Power has a maximum capacity of 2,400.

Players can also convert their Trailblaze Power into Immersifiers, a currency that can be exchanged for Simulated Universe rewards. The exchange rate is 40 Trailblaze Power for 1 Immersifier. You cannot convert Immersifiers into Trailblaze Power.

To learn more about how to use Trailblaze Power effectively each day, consider checking out the guides below:

3.4.

Exploration

As you progress through the Main Story for Honkai: Star Rail, the game will introduce you to various maps and locations within each World. These places will often feature hidden treasure, secrets, and unique puzzles that you can find. If you are having trouble obtaining more Trailblaze EXP, try exploring the universe some more.

One benefit of exploring each world meticulously are World Currencies. These currencies can be used to exchange for a Treasure Gadget Tool at any World Shop. The Treasure Gadget Tool can be used indefinitely, and will display the location of one Unopened Treasure at a time.

Each World has its own Treasure Gadget Tool, and as such, it should be your first priority to obtain when starting your exploration journey. You can keep track of your treasure collection progress by opening up the map for each location.

3.5.

Simulated Universe

In Simulated Universe, you can obtain Trailblaze EXP by exchanging for either Immersifier Rewards or by completing a World Exploration Difficulty for the first time.

To learn more about this Game Mode, refer to the guides below:

Equilibrium Level

As your Trailblaze Level increases, you will eventually have to complete unique Trailblaze Missions known as the "Trials of Equilibrium." Completing these missions will unlock the level cap of your Trailblaze Level, as well as the reward cap when participating in certain gameplay features. This will also increase your Equilibrium Level.

However, whenever your Equilibrium Level increases, so does the difficulty of enemies and battles you will encounter. Though the additional rewards are worth it, this does make upgrading your characters and gathering resources more important.

At the moment, the highest Equilibrium Level a player can reach is Equilibrium Level 6.

You cannot auto-battle when progressing through a Trial of Equilibrium.

General Overview of Equilibrium Level 1

If you are currently Trailblaze Level 20, you will have access to the Trailblaze Mission Trials of Equilibrium: Part One. By completing this Mission and raising your Equilibrium Level to 1, you will obtain the following rewards:

  • Equilibrium Level 0 -> 1
  • Trailblaze Level Cap 20 -> 30
  • Max Technique Points 3 -> 4
  • 3 Star Rail Pass
  • 5 Traveler's Guide
  • 4 Refined Aether
  • 5 Cosmic Fried Rice
  • 30,000 Credits

In addition, the rewards you get from defeating enemies will increase, along with becoming stronger too.

6.2.

How to Complete Trial of Equilibrium: Part One

To complete the Trial of Equilibrium, it is recommended to follow the guidelines below:

  • Average Team Level: 29+
  • Character Ascension Level: 1
  • Character Light Cone Level: 20
  • Character Trace Level (Talent, Skill, Ultimate): 2
  • Character Relic Level: +0 to +6
  • Character Eidolon Level: Nice to Have

For the recommended Characters to take, see the enemy table below:

Enemy Group Common Combat Type Weaknesses
  • [Elite Enemy] Searing Prowler
  • Incineration Shadewalker
  • Incineration Shadewalker
Ice and Imaginary
  • [Elite Enemy] Ice Out of Space
  • Everwinter Shadewalker
  • Everwinter Shadewalker
Fire and Quantum

As each group of enemies have different Combat Type weaknesses, it is highly suggested to run a team with the following Combat Types and Paths:

  1. (Up to Two) Ice and/or Imaginary Characters
  2. (Up to Two) Fire and/or Quantum Characters
  3. One or Two Damage Dealers ( Erudition/ Destruction/ The Hunt/ Nihility/ Remembrance)
  4. One Support ( Abundance/ Preservation/ Remembrance)
  5. One Harmony (Optional)

If you do not have at least one Ice and Fire Character upgraded (such as Preservation March 7th and Preservation Trailblazer), it is highly recommended you bring a Damage Dealer with the highest ATK available, and at least one Support to keep you alive.

There is no time limit for completing this Mission, so just ensure your team survives. While progressing through the Mission, you cannot refresh Technique Points after consumption. Once a battle ends, you cannot recover HP nor Technique Points through items or destructible objects.

6.3.

General Overview of Equilibrium Level 2

If you are currently Trailblaze Level 30, you will have access to the Trailblaze Mission Trials of Equilibrium: Part Two. By completing this Mission and raising your Equilibrium Level to 2, you will obtain the following rewards:

  • Equilibrium Level 1 -> 2
  • Trailblaze Level Cap 30 -> 40
  • Max Technique Points 4 -> 5 (Max)
  • 3 Star Rail Pass
  • 8 Traveler's Guide
  • 6 Refined Aether
  • 3 Wrathful Gauntlets
  • 40,000 Credits

In addition, the rewards you get from defeating enemies will increase, along with becoming stronger too.

6.4.

How to Complete Trial of Equilibrium: Part Two

To complete the Trial of Equilibrium, it is recommended to follow the guidelines below:

  • Average Team Level: 39+
  • Character Ascension Level: 2
  • Character Light Cone Level: 20
  • Character Trace Level (Talent, Skill, Ultimate): 3
  • Character Trace Level (Basic ATK): 2
  • Character Trace Bonus Abilities: 1
  • Character Relic Level: +6 to +12
  • Character Eidolon Level: Nice to Have

For the recommended Characters to take, see the enemy table below:

Enemy Group Common Combat Type Weaknesses
  • [Elite Enemy] Stormbringer
  • Everwinter Shadewalker
  • Incineration Shadewalker
Fire, Ice, and Imaginary
  • [Elite Enemy] Guardian Shadow
  • Imaginary Weaver
  • Imaginary Weaver
Physical and Quantum

As each group of enemies have different Combat Type weaknesses, it is highly suggested to run a team with the following Combat Types and Paths:

  1. (Up to Two) Ice/ Fire/ Imaginary Characters
  2. (Up to Two) Physical and/or Quantum Characters
  3. One or Two Damage Dealers ( Erudition/ Destruction/ The Hunt/ Nihility/ Remembrance)
  4. One Support ( Abundance/ Preservation/ Remembrance)
  5. One Harmony (Optional)

The harder group of enemies will likely be the Stormbringer's group, as neither Shadewalker share the same Combat Type Weaknesses. This is also why Lightning is not recommended against Guardian Shadow's group, as the Elite Enemy is not weak to Lightning. It does not mean you cannot run your best Lightning character, just that the battle will be much harder to defeat.

There is no time limit for completing this Mission, so just ensure your team survives. While progressing through the Mission, you cannot refresh Technique Points after consumption. Once a battle ends, you cannot recover HP nor Technique Points through items or destructible objects.
