Introduction to the Anima Element

In Neverness to Everness, each character is aligned with a specific Element. These Elements all have unique capabilities and utilities. This page will provide a quick overview over the Anima Element, the characters using it, and its distinct features. Anima Esper Reaction and Cycles

Esper Cycles are special effects caused by building Esper Meter on your characters during combat, and then switching to them to trigger Esper attacks. Chaining multiple of these will cause reactions between the elements, called an Esper Cycle.

Anima has three reactions:

  • Anima and Cosmos - Causes the Blossom effect, which will spawn a turret that can shoot at enemies, dealing damage in a small AoE.
  • Anima and Incantation - Causes the Hexed effect, which will cause a burst of damage based on the Anima and Incantation damage the target has taken in the last couple of seconds.
  • Lakshana + Cosmos + Anima - Charge: When a target marked by Remora (Cosmos+Lakshana) gets hit by a Blossom (Cosmos+Anima), you will passively generate a large amount of ultimate Energy for the on-field character whenever one of the blossoms hits the enemy.

Blossoms, Hexed, and Charge

Certain characters can further boost the benefits of the effects caused by the Esper Cycle. For Anima, these effects are Blossom, Hexed, and Charge. Having the following characters in your team lets you buff those effects via their Support passives:

  • Blossom (Cosmos+Anima):
    • Hotori: Prevents Blossom attacks from pausing during her Time Stop ability.
    • Jiuyuan: Spawns 1 additional Blossom and increases the cap to 6.
    • Mint: Increases the AoE of the Blossom attacks.
    • Nanally: Fires 10 smaller attacks for each Blossom spawned, and increases their attack frequency.
    • Iroi: Generates a Vita Bud copy when the current Vita Bud has existed for 3s. This copy cannot generate another copy, and copies from Iroi ignore the Vita Bud cap.
  • Hexed (Anima+Incantation):
    • No Enhancement for Hexed currently exists.
  • Charge (Lakshana+Cosmos+Anima)
    • Chiz: Grants active characters 4 additional Charge per hit.
    • Zero: Restores HP equal to 50% of Zero's Base ATK to the active character whenever they gain Charge.
    • Edgar: Grants 120 Ultimate Charge immediately, but no longer generates Charge for each time the Blossom hits the enemy.
    • Shinku: when a character on the field gains Ultimate Charge an off-field character will gain the same amount of energy. When Shinku is on-field during Charge, each trigger of Charge will deal 400% of her ATK as AOE damage and increase her own ATK by 5% for 30 seconds, stacking up to 10 times. This effect has a 1-second cooldown.
