1. Artifact Progression

Artifact Progression

1.1. Early Point Investment

Artifact Progression - Early Point Investment

From the starting point, Icon Shadow Fangs, take the upper path and grab the Eviscerate Icon Eviscerate critical chance in Icon Gutripper. Icon Catlike Reflexes is not very useful but it should be your next point as it lies on the most efficient path. Grab Icon Ghost Armor for even more Dodge chance (yay! ...not) before acquiring Icon Flickering Shadows, which can be very useful in the right situations. The Backstab Icon Backstab damage from Icon The Quiet Knife is very useful, and then snag your first Golden Trait, Icon Akaari's Soul, which results in a noticeable single target increase.

1.2. Second Golden Trait

Artifact Progression - Second Golden Trait

Go down from Icon Ghost Armor into Icon Energetic Stabbing, which is helpful for sustaining during your Shadow Dance Icon Shadow Dances. Icon Finality should be your second Golden Trait and results in a nice single target damage increase.

1.3. Third Golden Trait

Artifact Progression - Third Golden Trait

From Icon Catlike Reflexes, head upwards and grab Icon Soul Shadows, which is great for your burst. Icon Shadow Nova will be your final Golden Trait, which is a bit more niched, but has some great potential for your AoE burst.

1.4. Final Point Investment

There is a bit of personal preference involved in the final points. For the most single target damage, take Icon Demon's Kiss and then Icon Precision Strike before taking the lower path from Icon Shadow Fangs and grabbing Icon Fortune's Bite. Icon Second Shuriken can be acquired earlier if you feel the AoE damage is essential to your progression, or you are playing Subtlety in dungeons for some reason. Your final point should be in Icon Embrace of Darkness, which has little value.

2. Relic Choice

  1. Keep an eye out for increased Nightblade Icon Nightblade damage from Icon Demon's Kiss.
  2. Eviscerate Icon Eviscerate critical chance from Icon Gutripper is valuable.
  3. Shadowstrike Icon Shadowstrike damage is great.
  4. Icon The Quiet Knife is great for extra filler damage.
  5. Shadow Blades Icon Shadow Blades increased duration is solid for single target burst.

As Relics affect the item level of your weapons, it is recommended you always take the highest item level options as it will increase your weapon damage.
