Arknights: Endfield Reroll Guide
Whether you want to start off Arknights: Endfield with a specific Operator, or just want to get as many Operators as possible before starting your journey, you may find yourself wanting to reroll your account. With this guide we will tell you how long a reroll will take, the best method to start over, and which characters are worth rerolling for.
Introduction
Whether you want to become the Gacha master, or just want to surround yourselves with as many beautifully-rendered high-rarity Operators as possible, you may want to know reroll your Arknights: Endfield account.
Rerolling is a common tactic used in Gacha games, which typically involves creating a new account, or redownloading the game entirely. Once you unlock the Gacha, pulls are very limited, and your chances of pulling those coveted units with just a handful of limited pulls are slim. This is where the rerolling comes into play, and we are here to teach you the method for rerolling in Arknights: Endfield, and whether it is really worth it.
What is Rerolling?
Rerolling is the act of creating multiple accounts in an effort to ensure the best possible outcomes when you start playing the game. It is often done in order to reduce the financial burden by grabbing as many characters as possible early on with the pre-registration rewards and the starting resources. Maximizing the results of these limited pulls often leads players to re-do this process repeatedly, until they acquire the characters they like, or get a very lucky start to their account, that will save them money in the long run.
Reroll Methods
There are several main methods to rerolling, and depending on how Arknights: Endfield launches and what platform you play on, not all of these will be available to you.
Guest Method
First is the Guest Method. For games that allow Guest Accounts when signing into the game, you simply select the guest account option, play until you reach the Gacha, cash in your pulls, and if you are unhappy with the result you simply log out. You can then log back in with a new guest account, although that may require you to clear the cache of the game first. You can then repeat this process until the desired result.
Multiple Emails
The second method is simply having many different email Accounts. If you have several emails you can create an account with each one of them, giving you one attempt per account. Many email service providers let you create as many accounts as you wish, but it is time-consuming and typically considered the least efficient way to reroll.
Salting Emails
The last method is the one most commonly used by those who reroll a lot, and it is called the Salting Method. This method only requires a single email account, and through clever use of the so-called Salting of the email, you can re-use the same email accounts to create numerous game accounts with.
This is done by affixing a +1, +2, etc. to your email. For example, if your normal email is [email protected]:
- imcaptainawesome+2@gmail.com
- imcaptainawesome+3@gmail.com
- imcaptainawesome+4@gmail.com
You would sign up and log-in via email, and enter any of the above addresses. Any game-related confirmation emails, like the confirmation code, will still be sent to your regular inbox, allowing you to reroll with a single email address.
It is important to note that, depending on the game, you may have to log-in manually with your email address, instead of using the "login with Gmail" option, once you have settled on an account. You will also want to make sure to remember which affix you used for your final account, so try and keep track of your results for each account you create with this method until you've decided which one to keep!
Salting is by far the most efficient method, allowing you to create an endless number of accounts with little additional time-cost on your end. If you are using a Gmail address, you can also add a period to your email to salt it. An example of this, using [email protected] again, would be to use [email protected] instead. The period, much like the tag, will still lead to all emails being sent to the actual address. This method does not work with all email providers, however.
Rerolling in Arknights: Endfield
So you would like to reroll in Arknights Endfield, but is it even worth to do so? In order to help you with that decision, we've compiled the most important information below. First and foremost, you need to know how many free pulls you will be working with, and secondly, you will need to know how far into the game you have to be, before you can pull on the banners. The fewer pulls, and the longer it takes for a single attempt at rerolling, the less worth it tends to be.
Reroll Pull Amounts
Thanks to the pre-registration and social media campaigns, all players will be awarded 20 basic Head Hunting permits via their in-game inbox. In addition, completing the tutorial grants you 10 New Horizon Banner pulls, for a grand total of 30pulls. You might also be able to do a handful of limited banner pulls, depending on the amount of Oroberyl you will be getting up until the Gacha becomes available.
Make sure to check out all the Redeem Codes as well, which can maybe give you an extra pull or two as well. You can use each of the codes for every reroll!
How Long Until I Can Pull?
The second question is tied to the story progression, and how long it takes to even unlock the Gacha in the first place. You will have to reach the appropriate stage during the Tutorial, and that takes quite a bit of time. Based on the CBT2 experience, it may take upwards of 45 minutes to journey through it all.
What Are The Rates?
Another vector that might help you decide whether to reroll or not are the actual pull-rates. The chances for receiving 6-star Operators are 0.8%, and 8% for 5-star Operators. The soft pity does not begin until 65 pulls, with hard pity being 80 pulls, so you won't be able to benefit from pity at all. That means you have ~30 or slightly more chances at a 6-star Operator every 45 minutes.
Who to Pull For
With the expected pulls on launch, there is not much choice on who to pull. You will be able to get about a 10-pull's worth of Oroberyl from the release event, which you can use for a 10-pull on Laevatain, a 10-pull on the New Horizons banner, and 20 pulls on the Standard banner. Laevatain is a great pull if you can get her, as she is a very strong unit that will likely be a top-pick for months to come. The standard characters are all useful in their own right as well, although many 4-star and 5-star Operators can match them with the right team composition.
Conclusion - Is It Worth To Reroll In Arknights Endfield?
Now that we've established what rerolling is, as well as the methods for rerolling, the real question is whether you should reroll in Arknights: Endfield. Ultimately the decision is up to you, of course, but as far as we are concerned, we simply cannot recommend doing so.
Due to the long tutorial time, limited early pull currency, and lack of a soft pity on the new horizons banner, we just cannot recommend rerolling an account. Many games where rerolling becomes a viable strategy offer a similar or slightly higher amount of pulls once the Gacha unlocks, but the Gacha only takes 5 to 10 minutes to reach. Even in those cases, many players end up feeling fatigued after doing so for a few hours, and that may sour your enjoyment of the game before you even fully get into it.
That being said, you may still want to reroll, and in that case, more power to you! We recommend trying to throw as many pulls at the Limited Banner to grab Laevatain, and use your remaining pulls to hopefully get one or multiple of the standard 6-star Operators: Ardelia, Ember, Lifeng, Pogranichnik, and Last Rite.
Ardelia is a character every player will receive for free as part of the game's official release, so she is considered less worth to get early on. Potentials, the game's equivalent of the Dupe-system many other Gacha games have, are not as powerful as they are in other games, and you might want to grab a different character instead if you plan to re-roll for a single 6-star Operator.
