Lore

Upon claiming the Tyrant's crown, you are escorted to the uppermost floor of the Arcadion, where you are at last granted an audience with the president. Yet what meets your eyes is the horrific sight of his soul-imbued form─the serpentine Lindwurm. Arrayed behind him is a sickening display of the fallen immortalized, sacrifices in the president's bid to create a fighter who could contend against him. Now, the stage is set─to avenge the victims of his sinister script and rise to become the true grand champion, you must stop the president once and for all!

Raid Guide

Lindwurm is fought on a rectangular arena that players can fall off from. The arena will change for certain mechanics. Lindwurm will autoattack both tanks throughout the fight.

4.1.

Phase One

You fight Lindwurm throughout the entire fight.

4.2.

Phase One Mechanics

Lindwurm has the following mechanics in phase one.

  • The Fixer: Raidwide magical damage.
  • Bloodshed: One of Lindwurm's arms becomes engorged.
  • Serpentine Scourge: Cleaves half of the arena on the side of the engorged arm.
  • Ravenous Reach: The engorged dragon head arm extends. It does a large cleave towards where the dragon head is facing. This drops flesh puddles which expand into a large AoE.
  • Cruel Coil: Binds all players and draws them in to the middle. Lindwurm creates an AoE zone and uses its tail as a wall with one gap to escape from. Lindwurm will rotate multiple times, changing where the gap is until crushing players inside.
  • Visceral Burst: AoE tank busters on the tanks.
  • Grotesquerie: Inflicts all players with Burning Grotesquerie, which is a marked AoE at the end of the cast.
  • Splattershed: Raidwide magic damage. Lindwurm will engorge both its arms.
  • Feral Fission: Dragon tails will appear from AoEs.
  • Bring Down the House: The dragon tails destroy the area of the platform they're on.
  • Venomous Scourge: Marked AoEs on all players.
  • Grotesquerie 2 onwards: Now inflicts players with Flesh Forward and Directed Grotesquerie. Flesh Forward teleports the player in the direction indicated when it expires, and Directed Grotesquerie shoots a conal AoE in the direction indicated when it expires.
  • Fourth-wall Fusion: Stack marker on a healer.
4.3.

Phase One Strategy

  • Go to the other side without the engorged arm, then look to where the arm is extending. Watch the dragon's head and move behind it.
  • Afterwards, get away from the flesh puddles.
  • Once players are bound, don't go towards the first gap to escape, as Lindwurm will rotate before you can get there unless you have instant mobility skills. Instead, wait until the second gap appears and move out immediately.
  • Mitigate and spread the tank busters.
  • The Lindwurm does one more Bloodshed, Serpentine Scourge, and Ravenous Reach combo. This time, the Grotesquerie debuff will make all players have to spread after going to a flesh puddle safe spot.
  • Head to a spot not covered by tails when Feral Fission is cast. The platforms will be somewhat restored afterwards, allowing movement between them.
  • The dragon heads that appear on the arena will do line AoEs across. All players are then marked with Venomous Scourge, so spread out afterwards.
  • All players are then inflicted with Flesh Forward and Directed Grotesquerie. The former expires quickly, so players need to point themselves and stay on the platform.
  • Lindwurm then casts Ravenous Reach with Fourth-wall Fusion. Head towards the extending arm and stack up behind the dragon head. The arena is restored right after, and get to the safe spots for the flesh puddle AoEs.
  • Immediately after, Directed Grotesquerie will resolve, so point this towards the outside of the arena.
  • This is followed by Bloodshed and Serpentine Scourge.
  • One more Splattershed returns the engorged arms back to normal.
  • There is a Cruel Coil after this, which is the same as the first.
  • Afterwards, the boss casts Grotesquerie yet again with the two debuffs. This time, players need to teleport themselves to the safe spot for flesh puddle AoEs that spawn, then point the conal AoE to the outside.
  • The fight repeats from here until you reduce Lindwurm's HP to 0.1%.
4.4.

Phase Two

In phase two, you fight a regenerated and enraged Lindwurm.

4.5.

Phase Two Mechanics

Lindwurm introduces or changes the following mechanics in phase two.

  • Mindless Flesh: Line AoEs across one of five columns on the arena. Hits each column once, then cleaves a large part of the arena. The side hit is determined by the arm Lindwurm started the attack with.
  • Dramatic Lysis: Marked AoEs on all players.
4.6.

Phase Two Strategy

  • Spread out and dodge the line AoEs from Mindless Flesh. Slowly make your way to the safe side after Dramatic Lysis goes off.
  • The boss will cast Splattershed.
  • This repeats until the boss is defeated once and for all.
5.

Loot

Coffers that appear after defeating Lindwurm will yield tokens that can be traded in for gear. The drops for this fight are listed below.

  • 2x Heavy Holoarmor;
  • 1x Heavy Hologauntlets;
  • 2x Heavy Holotrousers;
