How to Obtain Amirdrassil Tier Sets in Dragonflight

Recommended Posts

Check out all the different ways of getting Amirdrassil tier sets during the first week of Season 3.

Blizzard has implemented multiple ways of obtaining tier sets in Patch 10.2. If you clear the raid but no tokens drop for you, there are still a few options left!

Amirdrassil Raid Bosses

Your prime source of tier sets! The armor pieces drop as tokens from select bosses inside Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope. Clear the raid and you should see some tokens drop!

Armor Slot Dropped By Item Levels (Raid Finder/Normal/Heroic/Mythic)
Head Tindral Sageswift 447/460/473/486
Shoulders Smolderon 447/463/476/489
Chest Nymue 447/460/473/486
Hands Igira the Cruel 444/457/470/483
Legs Larodar, Keeper of the Flame 444/457/470/483
Any (Omnitoken) Fyrakk, the Blazing 450/463/476/489.

Fyrakk Omnitoken

if you didn't get any set piece from the raid, Fyrakk will still drop Flame-Warped Curio Flame-Warped Curio. All classes can roll for the omnitoken.

The omnitoken can be turned in for any piece of tier set armor with the item level of gear depending on your raid difficulty.

When you manage to snag one, head to Kirasztia at Wellspring Overlook to exchange it.

Dragonflight Season 3 Master Dragonflight Season 3 Master Achievement

When you clear Amirdrassil on Heroic Difficulty, you will be automatically granted 1 Heroic difficulty tier set piece via Emerald Mark of Mastery Emerald Mark of Mastery that you can again exchange at Wellspring Overlook.

You can also get the token by reaching Challenger II rank in PvP or reaching a Mythic+ Rating of at least 2K in Dragonflight Season 3.

The Great Vault

The Great Vault has a chance to contain Amirdrassil Tier Set pieces starting next week.

The Revival Catalyst

All players have 1 Catalyst charge at their disposal with Season 3 start. You can use the Revival Catalyst to convert any eligible Season 3 gear piece into a Tier Set piece. However, it's recommended to wait until you at least have your first armor piece, so the converted one will activate your 2/4 set bonus.

How many set pieces did you get during the first week of Season 3? Let me know in the comments!

Playing in a casual heroic raid guild, I was the first to get set last season. Two drops in raid, KSM and vault. This season, no set. No interesting drops at all to be honest. Unlucky.

I don’t despair though, I do have an amazing streak of rolling tier set head with tertiary and socket in my first vault of the season. First season it was in an m+ slot and upgrade able to mythic!

We did have at least 2 people in our guild be like “so I got 3/4 set drops and then went and put my belt in the catalyst, but it didn’t work?!” poor souls…

It's another wild patch launch, with some very interesting and... specific bugs. Players have been reporting some of their equipped items items just randomly turning into level 1 statless ones, for seemingly no reason at all.
A few players first reported the issue a short while after patch launch, and we got a direct look at the rather big downgrade a little after that, as  shared this screenshot:
While not all affected players are sharing the exact details, some of them specify that this is happening on alts, and relatively low item level Dragonflight gear, so the issue may be limited to those items alone. It's also unclear whether this is just a display bug or an actual nerf to the stats, but apparently it's also affecting quest rewards!

There are also a few reports over on the official forums, but there aren't that many for now, so hopefully it's only affecting a few players. This seems like one of those issues that will be resolved pretty quickly, so there probably isn't too much reason for concern.
Perhaps this is all part of Xal'atath's schemes?

The 'Door to the Ren'dorei' quest on live servers is experiencing a bug where Alleria won't open a portal. Try abandoning the quest and reattempting for a fix. Additionally, there are tagging issues with 'The Path Taken' quest.
The Door to the Ren'dorei quest where Alleria opens a portal in the Chamber of Dalaran is currently bugged and Alleria doesn't do anything. If you see a lot of players stuck in the area, simply, abandon the quest, return to Alleria and pick it up again. Then, the portal should be visible and work.

We're also seeing a return to the classic Vanilla-style mechanics in the "The Path Taken" quest. For this one, you’ll need to either patiently wait your turn or quickly use all your abilities to tag the mobs. Only the player who tags the mobs first will receive credit, and you need to secure tags on three different groups of mobs. Therefore, try joining a group before attempting this portion of the quest.

Here's another cool thing coming with WoW's next expansion, as Solanya noticed a very interesting new toy!
The Cave Spelunker's Torch, which drops in Hallowfall, may not seem like a big deal, since we already have torches in the game, but those are actual weapons, which means you have to equip them, which then also means you have to re-equip your actual weapon(s) whenever you want to fight. This toy simply replaces the visual of your off-hand until combat starts. The other cool thing is that it's actually held as a torch, and not as a mace or other weapon!
Other than just looking cool, it had plenty of role playing uses as well, and it even sheds more light than normal torches!
