Navia Guide & Best Builds

Welcome to our Navia build guide for Genshin Impact. Navia is a 5-Star Geo Main DPS Character. Navia's setup is fairly simple: you want CRIT values and ATK % to scale her damage, unlike many other Geo characters who scale on DEF. Her playstyle revolves around triggering as much Crystallize as possible to buff her Elemental Skill.

Best Weapons for Navia

Listed below are Navia's best weapons. While her signature weapon is her best-in-slot, she has many highly competitive options from both the Battle Pass and events.

Verdict R1

Many Oaths of Dawn and Dusk

Base ATK: 674

CRIT Rate: 22.1%

Increases ATK by 20%. When party members obtain Elemental Shards from Crystallize or trigger Lunar-Crystallize reactions, the equipping character will gain 1 Seal, increasing Elemental Skill DMG by 18%. The Seal lasts for 15s, and the equipper may have up to 2 Seals at once. All of the equipper's Seals will disappear 0.2s after their Elemental Skill deals DMG. Up to 1 Seal may be obtained every second through the Lunar-Crystallize reaction.

Verdict is Navia's signature weapon and her overall best-in-slot option. She triggers the passive effect effortlessly, as her entire playstyle already requires her to collect Crystallize shards. It provides a massive boost to her Elemental Skill damage.
Serpent Spine R5

Wavesplitter

Base ATK: 510

CRIT Rate: 27.6%

Every 4s a character is on the field, they will deal 6% / 7% / 8% / 9% / 10% more DMG and take 3% / 2.7% / 2.4% / 2.2% / 2% more DMG. This effect has a maximum of 5 stacks and will not be reset if the character leaves the field, but will be reduced by 1 stack when the character takes DMG.

Serpent Spine comes in as her second-best option and is obtained from the Battle Pass. While an R5 Serpent Spine competes closely with 5-Star weapons, it takes time to refine since Battle Pass seasons last about 6 weeks each. Navia's natural reliance on Crystallize shields helps maintain the weapon's passive stacks.
Beacon of the Reed Sea R1

Desert Watch

Base ATK: 608

CRIT Rate: 33.1%

After the character's Elemental Skill hits an opponent, their ATK will be increased by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40% for 8s. After the character takes DMG, their ATK will be increased by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40% for 8s. The 2 aforementioned effects can be triggered even when the character is not on the field. Additionally, when not protected by a shield, the character's Max HP will be increased by 32% / 40% / 48% / 56% / 64%.

Beacon of the Reed Sea is a phenomenal stat stick that sits just below Serpent Spine. However, since it was only available during Dehya's limited banner run, it is incredibly rare for players to have access to it.
"Ultimate Overlord's Mega Magic Sword" R5

Melussistance!

Base ATK: 565

Energy Recharge: 30.6%

ATK increased by 12% / 15% / 18% / 21% / 24%. That's not all! The support from all Melusines you've helped in Merusea Village fills you with strength! Based on the number of them you've helped, your ATK is increased by up to an additional 12% / 15% / 18% / 21% / 24%.

Ultimate Overlord's Mega Magic Sword is an incredible free-to-play option if you obtained it during its event release alongside Navia. It provides highly valuable Energy Recharge as a substat and a massive ATK % boost from its passive, provided you have helped enough Melusines in Fontaine.

Best Artifacts for Navia

Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods

Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods

2-Piece Set: ATK +18%.

4-Piece Set: After using an Elemental Skill, gain a 20% Geo DMG Bonus for 10s. When under a shield granted by the Crystallize reaction, or when Moondrifts formed by Lunar-Crystallize reactions are nearby, the above effect is increased by 150%. When these conditions are no longer met, this additional increase disappears after 1s.

Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods is generally Navia's best artifact set. It perfectly fits her playstyle, providing a massive Geo DMG Bonus whenever she uses her Elemental Skill while protected by a Crystallize shield.
Marechaussee Hunter

Marechaussee Hunter

2-Piece Set: Normal and Charged Attack DMG +15%

4-Piece Set: When current HP increases or decreases, CRIT Rate will be increased by 12% for 5s. Max 3 stacks.

Marechaussee Hunter comes in a close second to Nighttime Whispers, but only if you are using Furina in your team composition. The continuous HP drain and healing allow Navia to easily stack the massive CRIT Rate bonus.

Navia's Stat Priority

Sands of Eon: ATK % / Energy Recharge
Goblet of Eonothem: Geo DMG
Circlet of Logos: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
Substats: Energy Recharge (to requirement) > CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG > ATK %

Navia strictly scales off ATK, unlike older Geo DPS characters who preferred DEF. Your primary goal is to reach your Energy Recharge threshold so she can Burst every rotation, and then stack as much CRIT and ATK % as possible to maximize her "Shotgun" Skill damage.

Recommended Stats for Navia

Navia's Energy Recharge Requirements

In terms of Energy Recharge, you will want about 140% if you run her alongside a Geo Support (or 110% if you specifically use Geo Traveler). You can reduce these numbers by a further 10% if you have her Constellation 1, A Lady's Rules for Keeping a Courteous Distance.

If you do not use a Geo Support, you will need significantly more, sitting closer to around 180%-190% ER. Remember that using Favonius Weapons on any character in your team will reduce these ER requirements by about 10% per weapon used.

Navia's Talent Priority

Talent Priority: Ceremonial Crystalshot > As the Sunlit Sky's Singing Salute > Blunt Refusal

A massive portion of your damage comes from landing her Elemental Skill, making it your absolute highest priority. Her Elemental Burst should be leveled second for its consistent off-field damage and Shrapnel generation. Finally, her Normal Attacks are leveled last to boost her infused Geo combos.

How to Play Navia

The core of Navia's damage revolves around her Elemental Skill, Ceremonial Crystalshot. You gain "Crystal Shrapnel" whenever you pick up a Crystallize Shard or on certain intervals during your Burst. You can hold up to 6 Shrapnel stacks at a time.

Her Skill functions much like a shotgun, where projectiles spread further the longer they travel. The first 3 Shrapnel stacks increase the amount of projectiles fired by 2 per stack (from 5 up to 11). The more projectiles hit a target, the more damage you deal. Hitting all 11 projectiles deals double the base damage. The last 3 Shrapnel stacks increase the damage by 15% per stack, counting as a Normal DMG bonus.

After casting her Elemental Skill, Navia's Normal Attacks become infused with Geo for 4 seconds. Due to her attack animations, the optimal combo is to perform 3 Normal Attacks, dash to cancel the animation, and then perform 2 more Normal Attacks.

Use her Burst, As the Sunlit Sky's Singing Salute, whenever it is available. It deals solid damage over its 12-second duration, but more importantly, it automatically generates a Shrapnel stack for you every 2.4 seconds when it hits enemies.

Navia's Best Constellations

Generally speaking, Navia is a very complete package at C0. Her constellations are not overwhelmingly strong, but they do provide comfortable quality-of-life and damage boosts.

Investment Priority: Constellation 1 > Constellation 2 > Signature Weapon

A Lady's Rules for Keeping a Courteous Distance (C1) drastically reduces your Energy Recharge requirements, bringing them down to about 100%-120% depending on your team setup.

The President's Pursuit of Victory (C2) is her strongest early constellation, providing up to 36% free CRIT Rate on her Elemental Skill cast and automatically triggering an extra Burst strike upon firing.
