Noelle Guide and Best Builds for Genshin Impact
Noelle is a 4-star Geo character that wields a Claymore to crush her enemies. She has team-wide healing, shield capabilities, and with (C6) some truly powerful AoE hits while being swapped in and out of battle with some very flexible team options.
Noelle Strengths and Weaknesses
- Huge AoE swings.
- Great Defensive layers.
- Decent Healing capabilities.
- Good F2P weapon options.
- Very decent DPSer.
- Requires C6 constellation for full potential.
- Does not have High burst damage.
- Mediocre single-target damage.
Noelle On-field DPS
Noelle's is extremely flexible in what she can bring to a team, playing the role of both on-field and off-field play styles that relay on similar setups. Her claymore usage provides her with strong AoE attacks, buffed by her shields and great DEF/HP. However, she does struggle with energy generation so pairing her with another teammate that can produce lots of energy particles quickly is ideal. While Noelle has some off-field support abilities they are very lackluster and she is much stronger played as an on-field damage dealer, even without her Must Be Spotless (C6) constellation.

Noelle's best weapon choice is simply the Redhorn Stonethresher. It's powerful CRIT DMG stat and boost to damage based on your DEF, matches Noelle perfectly. While the other options will still work on her, they do not compare with her best in slot.
Noelle is built for the battlefield, almost all of her abilities are suited for on-field play especially her heal which can only be triggered through her attacks. While there are sets ( Ocean-Hued Clam and Whiteblind) that provide her with some healing bonuses, Noelle is best suited to be a DPS matched with a battery character to support her energy needs. Up until Noelle's C6 constellation, Must Be Spotless, you build her like the majority of on-field DPS characters with a focus on ATK power, 120% Energy Recharge and strong CRIT stats.
Additionally, Marechaussee Hunter can be a great artifact set for Noelle and even her best when paired with Furina due to Furinas' ability to manipulate your HP while Noelle heals.
Combos and How to Play Noelle
Noelle is best played as a strong character swap for clashing with the enemies on the front line. She provides healing through her elemental skill Breastplate that can cause her normal and charged attacks to have a chance to heal. This ability also grants her high amounts of damage absorption and a shield based upon her DEF stat. Her DPS really shines after reaching Must Be Spotless (C6), altering her Elemental Burst Sweeping Time to scale additionally from her DEF and add up to 10 seconds of duration. This ability can utterly crush mobs in a single strike and is absolutely awesome to see in action with the right buffers.
While Noelle's skills do offer some ability to play as an off-fielder, it is not recommended due to how little your team benefits from her abilities. There are simply much better choices for support characters. Overall, she is brawler at heart with a skill kit that compliments that very well. Even without her C6 constellation, Noelle is a very tanky and useful brawler that can excel in the right environment and team composition. Her great survivability and powerful Elemental Burst help her standout as great on-field character.
Noelle's Best Team Comps
Noelle is somewhat limited for team compositions, being forced to focus on the right Elemental Reactions or go full Geo which can be very difficult against certain elemental shields. However, the potential teams she can partner with are very simple to play and can be quite powerful. With that being said we have chosen our team builds based upon character availability (4 stars vs 5 stars), overall damage potential and best conditions for Noelle to shine.
Noelle Hypercarry
Main DPS | Sub DPS | Sub DPS | Support |
---|---|---|---|
Noelle | Yun Jin | Furina |
This team is built to empower Noelle while she brawls on-field, creating shields and healing for herself. While Noelle has several builds using Yun Jin and Gorou/ Xilonen to boost Noelle's brawling capabilities with their Elemental Bursts, adding Furina into the mix really pushes this to the next level. Furina’s Elemental Burst, Let the People Rejoice, does a large AoE of Hydro damage based on her Max HP. Most importantly, it also awards 'Fanfare' points as your party member’s HP increases or decreases. These 'Fanfare' points directly increase the DMG and Healing of all nearby party members, getting stronger and stronger as you gain more points. This fits perfectly for Noelle as she can brawl while healing herself, so any damage/healing she takes will only make her more powerful. To play this team, you simply stack all your party’s Elemental Bursts leaving Noelle until the end and then fight on-field while staying inside the buffed area. That’s it: nice and simple.
Noelle Taser Team
Main DPS | Sub DPS | Sub DPS | Support |
---|---|---|---|
Noelle | Xingqiu | Fischl | Beidou |
This team does have a unique requirement for Noelle, and that is a change in her weapon. Favonius Greatsword is the best choice for this team as it helps make Noelle a battery for both Xingqiu and Beidou. This allows Noelle to feed both of them energy while she brawls on the battlefield. This means our off-fielders can jump in and out using their skills and burst abilities in a new fluid rotation without the worry of a lack of energy. While this Taser team wont be particularly powerful, Electro-Charged is going to augment your DPS while you have the survivability to take longer fights.
Noelle Double Electro
Main DPS | Energy Battery - Geo | Sub DPS - Electro | Sub DPS - Electro |
---|---|---|---|
Noelle | Geo Traveler | Fischl | Beidou |
This build is a simple brawler, with double Electro off-fielders to provide some strong off-field damage. The rotations are easy and fluid to maintain and it's great survivability allows for it tackle most content in the game. With Noelle battling on the field with Beidou's Electro buffs and Fischl's Oz, its easy to generate Crystallize reactions to bolstering your defences with extra shields. Overall damage on this build is decent and it is easy to sustain. Once you gain Must Be Spotless (C6) on Noelle, this build will go even higher in terms of damage, with her burst attack scaling from her DEF.
Noelle Double Hydro
Main DPS | Buffer | Buffer | Sub DPS |
---|---|---|---|
Noelle | Furina | Xilonen | Yelan |
This double Hydro build amplifies Noelle's potential to all new heights with Fanfare stacks and Xilonen's C2 buff. This build takes advantage of off-field damage from Yelan as well for added damage while being able to maintain Noelle as an on-field brawler. Very simple yet effective to play, simply maintain your team's buffs and focus on brawling with Noelle.
Noelle Double Cryo
Main DPS | Enery Battery - Geo | Sub DPS - Cryo | Sub DPS - Cryo |
---|---|---|---|
Noelle | Geo Traveler | Kaeya | Rosaria |
This build is similar to the previous, producing Crystallize reactions with the Cryo, but this build differs when we use Rosaria's A4 passive Shadow Samaritan which will boost our CRIT Rate up for all party members. When we combine this with Cryo Resonance, we increase our CRIT Rate even higher for all characters. This build CRITs non-stop! The only challenge with this playstyle is keeping Cryo reactions up while you swap between characters and fight on the field with Noelle. Overall, this team performs well together and can push the majority of content even the Spiral Abyss.
