Bennett Guide & Best Builds

Welcome to our Bennett build guide for Genshin Impact. Bennett is a 4-Star Pyro Support Character who is widely considered one of the best characters in the game. He provides a massive ATK buff, strong healing, and excellent Pyro particle generation. Bennett has two main builds: a Pure Support build that focuses strictly on maximizing his ATK buff and healing, and a Burst Support build that trades some healing for increased personal damage.

Best Weapons for Bennett

Because the damage buff from Fantastic Voyage only scales off Bennett's Base ATK and the Base ATK of his weapon, Bennets best weapons are simply those with the highest Base ATK available, followed by weapons that provide Energy Recharge.

Mistsplitter Reforged R1

Mistsplitter's Edge

Base ATK: 674

CRIT DMG: 44.1%

Gain a 12% / 15% / 18% / 21% / 24% Elemental DMG Bonus for all elements and receive the might of the Mistsplitter's Emblem. At stack levels 1/2/3, the Mistsplitter's Emblem provides a 8/16/28% / 10/20/35% / 12/24/42% / 14/28/49% / 16/32/56% Elemental DMG Bonus for the character's Elemental Type. The character will obtain 1 stack of the Mistsplitter's Emblem in each of the following scenarios: Normal Attack deals Elemental DMG (stack lasts 5s), casting Elemental Burst (stack lasts 10s); Energy is less than 100% (stack disappears when Energy is full). Each stack's duration is calculated independently.

Mistsplitter Reforged features the highest Base ATK for a sword in the game alongside Aquila Favonia (674 at Lv. 90), making it an incredible option to maximize Bennett's ATK buff. It is also the absolute best-in-slot weapon for a Burst Support build due to its high CRIT DMG substat and Elemental DMG bonus.
Aquila Favonia R1

Falcon's Defiance

Base ATK: 674

Physical DMG Bonus: 41.3%

ATK is increased by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%. Triggers on taking DMG: the soul of the Falcon of the West awakens, holding the banner of resistance aloft, regenerating HP equal to 100% / 115% / 130% / 145% / 160% of ATK and dealing 200% / 230% / 260% / 290% / 320% of ATK as DMG to surrounding opponents. This effect can only occur once every 15s.

Aquila Favonia shares the highest Base ATK in the game for swords (674 at Lv. 90). While its Physical DMG substat is useless for Bennett, the pure Base ATK it provides guarantees the largest possible ATK buff for your team in a Pure Support build.
Skyward Blade R1

Sky-Piercing Fang

Base ATK: 608

Energy Recharge: 55.1%

CRIT Rate increased by 4% / 5% / 6% / 7% / 8%. Gains Skypiercing Might upon using an Elemental Burst: Increases Movement SPD by 10%, increases ATK SPD by 10%, and Normal and Charged hits deal additional DMG equal to 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40% of ATK. Skypiercing Might lasts for 12s.

Skyward Blade is an incredibly comfortable 5-Star option. It features a high Base ATK (608 at Lv. 90) while also providing a very large amount of Energy Recharge, making it much easier to burst off cooldown without relying heavily on artifact substats.
The Alley Flash R1

Itinerant Hero

Base ATK: 620

Elemental Mastery: 55

Increases DMG dealt by the character equipping this weapon by 12% / 15% / 18% / 21% / 24%. Taking DMG disables this effect for 5s.

The Alley Flash has the highest Base ATK of any 4-Star sword (620 at Lv. 90), even beating out some 5-Star options. This makes it the premier 4-Star choice for maximizing his ATK buff, though it provides very little utility otherwise.
Sapwood Blade R5

Forest Sanctuary

Base ATK: 565

Energy Recharge: 30.6%

After triggering Burning, Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Bloom, Lunar-Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon, a Leaf of Consciousness will be created around the character for a maximum of 10s. When picked up, the Leaf will grant the character 60 / 75 / 90 / 105 / 120 Elemental Mastery for 12s. Only 1 Leaf can be generated this way every 20s. This effect can still be triggered if the character is not on the field. The Leaf of Consciousness' effect cannot stack.

Sapwood Blade is Bennett's best easily accessible free-to-play option. It is a craftable Sumeru weapon that offers a high Base ATK for a 4-Star (565 at Lv. 90) and provides valuable Energy Recharge as its substat.

Best Artifacts for Bennett

Noblesse Oblige

Noblesse Oblige

2-Piece Set: Elemental Burst DMG +20%

4-Piece Set: Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members' ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack.

Noblesse Oblige is Bennett's most standard and universally recommended artifact set. Since you always cast his Elemental Burst to buff the team, the 4-piece effect seamlessly adds another 20% ATK buff to your entire party.
Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City

Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City

2-Piece Set: When a nearby party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst, the equipping character regenerates 6 Elemental Energy.

4-Piece Set: After the equipping character triggers a reaction related to their Elemental Type, all nearby party members gain a 12% Elemental DMG Bonus for the Elemental Types involved in the elemental reaction for 15s. If the equipping character is in the Nightsoul's Blessing state when triggering this effect, all nearby party members gain an additional 28% Elemental DMG Bonus for the Elemental Types involved in the elemental reaction for 20s. The equipping character can trigger this effect while off-field, and the DMG bonus from Artifact Sets with the same name do not stack.

Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City is an alternative support option if your team benefits more from a 12% Elemental DMG bonus than the 20% ATK buff from Noblesse.

Bennett's Stat Priority

Pure Support Build

Sands of Eon: Energy Recharge / HP %
Goblet of Eonothem: HP %
Circlet of Logos: HP % / Healing Bonus
Substats: Energy Recharge > HP % > Flat HP

In a Pure Support build, Bennett simply wants enough Energy Recharge to Burst every rotation, followed by as much HP as possible to maximize his healing. You do not need to build ATK substats, as his buff only scales off Base ATK (Character Level + Weapon Base ATK).

Burst Support Build

Sands of Eon: ATK % / Energy Recharge
Goblet of Eonothem: Pyro DMG
Circlet of Logos: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
Substats: Energy Recharge (to breakpoint) > CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG > HP % > ATK %

In a Burst Support build, the goal is to increase Bennett's damage contribution while still providing his massive ATK buff. You use offensive main stats, but if you find your team struggling to survive, swap back to the Pure Support build.

Recommended Stats for Bennett

Bennett's Energy Recharge Requirements

The exact amount of Energy Recharge Bennett needs depends on your party composition, weapons, and how often you use Passion Overload between Bursts. You can reduce these requirements by around 10-15% for each Favonius weapon proc on your team.

Skill Use Per Rotation Solo Pyro Double Pyro
1 280 - 350% 180 - 200%
2 220 - 250% 150 - 170%

Bennett's Talent Priority

Talent Priority: Fantastic Voyage > Passion Overload

Bennett's Elemental Burst, Fantastic Voyage, is the core of his kit and provides his massive ATK buff and healing. It should be leveled as high as possible. His Elemental Skill is useful for damage and energy generation but is a lower priority.

How to Play Bennett

Bennett is an incredibly easy character to play. In most rotations, you simply tap his Elemental Skill, Passion Overload, to generate Energy, and then cast his Elemental Burst, Fantastic Voyage, to heal and buff your active DPS.

His Skill is also excellent for breaking Cryo shields due to its very low cooldown. When using his Burst, remember that the ATK buff and healing only apply while your active character remains inside the AoE circle, so position it carefully around enemies.

Bennett's Best Constellations

Bennett's constellations are incredibly powerful, with C1 being arguably the best Constellation 1 in the entire game.

Investment Priority: Constellation 1 > Constellation 5 > Constellation 6

Grand Expectation (C1) is Bennett's most important constellation. It removes the HP restriction on his Burst's ATK buff (meaning he buffs you even if you are below 70% HP) and grants an additional flat 20% Base ATK bonus to the buff.

Is Bennett's C6 Worth It?

Fire Ventures With Me (C6) is a divisive Constellation in the community. On one hand, the Pyro infusion and Pyro DMG bonus it provides are a massive buff to Pyro DPS characters like Xiangling or Diluc. On the other hand, it can ruin Physical builds (like Eula) or override the infusions of certain characters (like Kamisato Ayaka or Keqing). However, for the vast majority of modern team comps, C6 is either a direct upgrade or has no negative impact, as many newer infusions cannot be overridden anyway.
