Introductions

Evernight is a 5★ Ice Character following the Path of Remembrance. Evernight is a powerful and flexible HP-scaling Character for teams focusing on Memosprites that can be played as either a Main DPS or a Sub DPS.
Our Evernight Build Guide will show you the best Lightcones, Relics and Team Compositions build the best Evernight you can.

Evernight's Best Light Cone

The percentage numbers listed showcase the relative DPS increase when you take into account both the Lightcone Effect(s) and Cones Base Stats.

To Evernight's Stars (S1)
114.4%
Increases the wearer's Max HP by 30.0 / 37.5 / 45.0 / 52.5 / 60.0%. When the wearer's memosprite uses an ability, the wearer gains "Noctis." While the wearer has "Noctis," the DMG dealt by all ally memosprites ignores 20.0 / 22.5 / 25.0 / 27.5 / 30.0% of the targets' DEF. Increases the DMG dealt by the wearer and their memosprite by 30.0 / 37.5 / 45.0 / 52.5 / 60.0%. When the wearer's memosprite disappears, the wearer recovers 8 / 10 / 12 / 14 / 16 Energy. Effects of the same type cannot stack.

Sources: Event Warp (limited)
Evernight's Signature Lightcone. This Lightcone provides considerable increases to Team DPS from the buffs it grants to allies as well as a significant boost to personal damage output with the Health and DMG % increases. The energy generation on this Lightcone increases Evernight's Ultimate Uptime which also boosts the overall output of your Team.
Make Farewells More Beautiful (S1)
112.7%
Increases the wearer's Max HP by 30.0 / 37.5 / 45.0 / 52.5 / 60.0%. When the wearer or their memosprite loses HP during their own turn, the wearer gains "Death Flower." "Death Flower" allows the wearer and their memosprite to ignore 30.0 / 35.0 / 40.0 / 45.0 / 50.0% of the target's DEF when dealing DMG, lasting for 2 turn(s). When the wearer's memosprite disappears, advances the wearer's action by 12.0 / 15.0 / 18.0 / 21.0 / 24.0%. This effect can only trigger up to 1 time, and the trigger count resets every time the wearer uses Ultimate.

Sources: Event Warp (limited)
Featuring exceptionally high Base HP and powerful DMG amplifying stats that make it good for Evernight's Personal DPS output and the Action Advance lets you fit slightly more actions into a fight.
We do not suggest giving this Lightcone to Evernight as it would be best kept on Castorice for overall team DPS but it is a strong option if you no longer are playing your Castorice or have a spare copy.
Long May Rainbows Adorn the Sky (S1)
108%
Increases the wearer's SPD by 18.0 / 21.0 / 24.0 / 27.0 / 30.0%. When the wearer uses Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate, consumes all allies' HP equal to 1.0 / 1.3 / 1.5 / 1.8 / 2.0% of their current HP, and after the next attack of the wearer's memosprite, enables it to additionally deal 1 instance of Additional DMG equal to 250.0 / 312.5 / 375.0 / 437.5 / 500% of the total consumed HP to the attacked target, with the damage type based on the memosprite's type. Then, the total consumed HP is reset. When the wearer's memosprite uses Memosprite Skill, increases the DMG taken by all enemies by 18.0 / 22.5 / 27.0 / 31.5 / 36.0%, lasting for 2 turn(s). Effects of the same type cannot stack.

Sources: Event Warp (limited)
This Lightcone applies a large DMG Vulnerability to all enemies while having a large SPD boost. Compared to other options, Evernight does less personal DPS but slightly more team DPS.
We strongly do not suggest giving this Lightcone to Evernight as it would be best used on Hyacine for overall team DPS. This Lightcone is not stackable so do not run two copies.
Sweat Now, Cry Less (S5)
104.7%
Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 12.0 / 14.0 / 16.0 / 18.0 / 20.0%. When the wearer's memosprite is on the field, increases the DMG dealt by the wearer and their memosprite by 24.0 / 27.0 / 30.0 / 33.0 / 36.0%.

Sources: Nameless Glory
This Lightcone provides a very large amount of stats making it quite powerful for Evernight. The only issue with this Lightcone is that Evernight already has a large amount of CRIT Rate from her A6 Trace Dark the Night, Still the Moon and passive Traces which when combined with the CRIT Rate of this Lightcone will put you very close to CRIT Cap which can make gearing more awkward.
When playing Evernight as a Sub DPS this Lightcone performs worse and is effectively identical in performance to The Flower Remembers.
The Flower Remembers (S5)
100.7%
Increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by 24.0 / 28.0 / 32.0 / 36.0 / 40.0%. The CRIT DMG dealt by the wearer's memosprite increases by 24.0 / 30.0 / 36.0 / 42.0 / 48.0%.

Sources: Nameless Glory
This 4★ Battlepass Lightcone is less powerful than the other Battle Pass Lightcone, Sweat Now, Cry Less. This Lightcone is weaker because Evernight already gets an incredibly large amount of CRIT DMG which devalues the massive amount of CRIT DMG provided by this Lightcone.
Sweat Now, Cry Less (S1)
100%
Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 12.0 / 14.0 / 16.0 / 18.0 / 20.0%. When the wearer's memosprite is on the field, increases the DMG dealt by the wearer and their memosprite by 24.0 / 27.0 / 30.0 / 33.0 / 36.0%.

Sources: Nameless Glory
The Flower Remembers (S1)
99.4%%
Increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by 24.0 / 28.0 / 32.0 / 36.0 / 40.0%. The CRIT DMG dealt by the wearer's memosprite increases by 24.0 / 30.0 / 36.0 / 42.0 / 48.0%.

Sources: Nameless Glory
Memory's Curtain Never Falls (S5)
97.2%
Increases the wearer's SPD by 6.0 / 7.5 / 9.0 / 10.5 / 12.0%. After the wearer uses Skill, increases the DMG dealt by all allies by 8.0 / 10.0 / 12.0 / 14.0 / 16.0%, lasting for 3 turn(s).

Sources: Herta's Store
Memory's Curtain Never Falls has lower stats than other options making it weaker but is easy to gain making it an excellent starting option as a result of its team-wide buff.

Best Relics and Planar Ornaments for Evernight

Best Relics for Evernight

These are the best Relic Sets to build for Evernight. The percentage shows the relative difference to Evernight's best performing set.

World-Remaking Deliverer
100%
2-Piece Set: Increases CRIT Rate by 8.0%.
4-Piece Set: After the wearer uses Basic ATK or Skill, if the wearer's memosprite is on the field, increases Max HP of the wearer and their memosprite by 24.0%, and increases all allies' dealt DMG by 15.0%, lasting until after the wearer's next use of Basic ATK or Skill.
This is Evernights best Relic Set to build and it is significantly ahead of any other options. This provides a massive increase to team DPS via the teamwide DMG Buff as well as boosting Evernight and Evey's HP which increases her own damage contribution.
The 4pc effect on this set is so strong for Evernight's build that as long as you have the correct main stats, it will outperform any other Relic set pairing. If you have exceptionally well rolled 2pc-2pc options then they can be competitive if they have at least 10 more useful Substats across all four pieces (HP%, CRIT DMG, Crit Rate, SPD, or 2 flat HP rolls).

Best Planar Ornaments

Bone Collection's Serene Demesne
100%
2-Piece Set: Increases the wearer's Max HP by 12.0%. When the wearer's Max HP is 5000 or higher, increases the wearer's and their memosprite's CRIT DMG by 28.0%.
This is Evernight's best-in-slot Planar Ornament. This Planar Ornament provides a significant boost to stats and reaching the 5000 Maximum Health threshold is easy for Evernight.
The Wondrous BananAmusement Park
99.7%
2-Piece Set: Increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by 16.0%. When a target summoned by the wearer is on the field, CRIT DMG additionally increases by 32.0%.
This is Evernight's second best Planar Ornament. This Planar grants a significant CRIT DMG boost to Evernight and Evey. However, it is slightly worse than Bone Collection's Serene Demesne as the CRIT DMG buff will not always be active as Evey needs to be resummoned constantly throughout the battle. This can outperform Bone Collection's Serene Demesne if it has at least 1 additional good Substat roll (HP%, CRIT DMG, Crit Rate, SPD, or 2 flat HP rolls).
Arcadia of Woven Dreams
99%
2-Piece Set: When the number of ally targets on the field is not equal to 4, for every 1 additional/missing ally target, increases the DMG dealt by the wearer and their memosprite by 9.0%/12.0%, stacking up to 4/3 time(s).
Arcadia's performance varies depending on your team composition and how often other memosprites will be active. With a base case of 3 Memosprites (Evernights, Hyacines and Remembrance Trailblazers) this set is quite strong and having 2 more useful Substats would make it stronger than the other sets. With 4 Memosprites you would only need 1 additional useful Substat (HP%, CRIT DMG, Crit Rate, SPD, or 2 flat HP rolls).

Character Explanation Build Advice

Character Explanation

Evernight's gameplay revolves around summoning her Memosprite Evey and generating Memoria stacks from using her Skill Day Gently Slips. Whenever Evernight reaches 16 stacks of Memoria and Evey is active it will immediately take action (time until next turn is set to 0 AV) and will then use Dream, Dissolving, as Dew on its next turn after which Evey will disappear.

Evernight generates stacks of Memoria from these sources:

  • Day Gently Slips (Evernight's Skill) — 2 or 14 if she has Darkest Riddle Charges from her Ultimate. Factoring in all Trace and Talent effects this is 7 or 19 stacks respectively.
  • With Me, This Night (Evernight's Talent) — 2.
  • Rouse the Flame, Lull the Light (A4 Trace) — 1.
  • Remembrance, Whirling, Like Rain (Evey's Memosprite Skill) — 1. Factoring in all Trace and Talent effects this makes 4 stacks.
  • Let it Rain Cold On Thee (Technique) — 1.

When combined these effects result in significant Memoria generation as for example:
When Evernight casts her Skill Day Gently Slips she will add 2 stacks, but she will also hurt herself from the HP consumption which means her Talent With Me, This Night will add 2 stacks. As she cast an ability she will also trigger Rouse the Flame, Lull the Light adding an additional stack. She will also trigger her A6 Trace Dark the Night, Still the Moon which will consume 5% of health, once again triggering her Talent to add another 2 stacks. In total this single cast of her Skill generated 7 stacks of Memoria without factoring in Darkest Riddle or her Eidolon 2 Listen Up, the Slumber Speaks Soft. With Darkest Riddle up it would have made 19 stacks!
The same happens with Evey's Skill Remembrance, Whirling, Like Rain and it will make 4 stacks after all of the triggers.
When Evey uses Dream, Dissolving, as Dew she will generate 3 Memoria stacks that are factored into the damage; She will generate 2 stacks afterwards from the HP consumption leaving you with 2 stacks left over after Evey disappears.

Evernight's Skill Day Gently Slips grants an aura buff that provides 24% (At Lv10) of Evernight's CRIT DMG to all allied Memosprites. This buff is exceptionally potent and is her main Supporting buff for increasing the damage of allies. This also effectively means that she gets 1.24x as much CRIT DMG as other characters for scaling her own damage making it her best stat for DPS output.
This will not factor in the CRIT DMG provided by Remembrance Trailblazer's Friends! Together! and this will not be factored into Friends! Together! either.

Evernight's Ultimate O Wakeful World, Goodnight gives 2 Charges of Darkest Riddle. Darkest Riddle will be consumed whenever Evey uses Dream, Dissolving, as Dew. While Evernight has Darkest Riddle all enemies will take 30% increased DMG Taken and the DMG Dealt by Evernight and Evey deals will be increased by 60%. These buffs and debuffs are removed at the start of Evernight's turn if she no longer has any Darkest Riddle Stacks.

Evernight has significant damage buffs and stat boosts from her Traces and abilities.

  • Evernight's Talent With Me, This Night — 60% CRIT DMG (at Lv10).
  • A2 Trace Kindle the Morn, Drop the Rain — up to 65% CRIT DMG
  • A6 Trace Dark the Night, Still the Moon — 35% CRIT Rate and 15% CRIT DMG.
  • Evernight's Ultimate O Wakeful World, Goodnight — 60% DMG (At Lv10) and 30% increased Damage Taken on enemies.
  • Evey's Talent Solitude, Drifting, In Murk — 50% DMG (At Lv10).
  • Evey's Talent You, Parting, Beyond Reach — up to 50% SPD (Approximately 24% on average).

Build Advice

The highest stat priority when building Evernight is to make sure she will achieve 100% CRIT Rate in combat. If you are playing with Remembrance Trailblazer and intend on using Lemme! Help You! on Evernight then you will want to aim for 55% sheet CRIT Rate (10% from RMC and 35% from Evernight).

After you cap your CRIT Rate you will want to make sure you have at least enough SPD to reach a SPD breakpoint. These SPD breakpoints are different on Evernight to other characters due to her passive You, Parting, Beyond Reach that gives her significant amounts of SPD. This passive devalues investing in SPD slightly for Evernight as you already receive a significant amount for free and having more SPD will result in slightly less stacks on average which means a lower SPD% buff. You can aim for approximately 24 SPD less than the normal breakpoints that are used on other characters and this will usually give the same result, although you might need slightly more SPD on some encounters that do not generate as many Memoria stacks for you from their attacks.
Without SPD boots you are aiming to get 110 SPD as that is usually sufficient to get an extra action in 150 AV.
With SPD boots you are aiming to get 137 SPD as that should usually be sufficient to get another action in 250 AV.

With SPD and CRIT Rate dealt with you will ideally want to have all of your other Substat upgrades in CRIT DMG as it is your best stat. That being said HP% is approximately equivalent to 0.8 CRIT DMG Substats and should not be discounted when comparing Relic Quality as Evernight is a Sub DPS that provides a lot of her team value through her own damage instead of just via buffs.

Without E2 Energy Regeneration Rate Ropes are viable if they are rolled well, especially at lower SPD where you will get more percentage of skills used with Darkest Riddle stacks. Having an Energy Regeneration Rate Rope will let more Ultimate casts in over a fight increasing its uptime. If you have Eidolon 2 then the Ultimate is almost always up due to the additional 2 stacks provided making an Energy Regeneration Rate Rope significantly less effective.

Evernight's Best Eidolons

Evernight's first two Eidolons are extremely powerful and provide a good stopping point for anyone wanting to vertically invest in their teams. Eidolons after the first two are significantly weaker making them way less cost effective.
Listed below are our calculations for Evernight's Eidolons.

Eidolon % Diff % Diff E0 Comment
Sleep Tight, the Night Dreams Long 30% 30% Can be as low as ~18% for Pure Fiction or as high as 35% for ST encounters.
Listen Up, the Slumber Speaks Soft 62% 111% This Eidolon is incredible and massively increases her Ultimate uptime and average Memoria Stacks. If you are playing Evernight as a Sub DPS this is closer to a 20-25% DPS increase instead as Evernight is less of the teams overall DPS but the increased uptime of Ultimate is very strong.
Fear Not, the Nightmare Lies Past 2.8% 113%
Wake Up, the Tomorrow is Yours 0.2% 114% Very weak E4 as it is only providing Weakness Break Efficiency. Quite useful for Apocalypse shadow.
Let Go, the "Me" in Memories 4.8% 124.3%
