We do not suggest giving this to Anaxa as it would still be best on The Herta and it is common to play both units together in the same team.

Best Relics and Planar Ornaments for Anaxa
Best Relics for Anaxa
These are the best Relic Sets to build for Anaxa. The percentage shows the relative difference to Anaxa's best performing set.
Eagle of Twilight Line
100%
When playing with Sunday or another Action Advance unit this set has no competition as Anaxa can effectively build his ultimate every turn cycle since he will take two turns back to back within which he generates his Ultimate. When building his ultimate this fast he is getting an effective 33.3% speedup to his turn timer making this his best Relic Set even without rolling good Substats as it lets him skip SPD boots and build ATK% boots.

Character Explanation
Anaxa's core mechanic comes from his Talent Tetrad Wisdom Reigns Thrice. Anaxa's Talent will apply random Weakness Implants (lasting for 3 turns and prioritising weaknesses they do not currently have) to targets hit by his abilities. If an enemy has five different Weakness he will inflict "Qualitative Disclosure" on that enemy.
A Weakness Implant will allow damage of that type to deplete the enemies Toughness and will lower the enemies RES for that element by 20% making it equivalent to them being on Element. This can be a large DPS increase in many of scenarios and allows him to function well no matter what the enemies weaknesses are.
When Anaxa uses a Basic ATK or Skill on a target with "Qualitative Disclosure" it will cause him to automatically use his Skill again on that target. This will not consume Skill Points and will not trigger this additional instance again. This means that Anaxa can get two uses of his Skill per turn or one Basic ATK and one Skill.
Anaxa's A6 trace Roaming Signifier makes it so he gets an equal amount of Energy from both Basic ATK and Skill — 30 each. If there were no targets with "Qualitative Disclosure" at the start of his turn, which means he will not be able to get the extra Skill use, he will generate 30 Energy. This means he will always generate 60 energy per turn no matter what which guarantees his Ultimate Cadence.
Anaxa's A4 Trace Imperative Hiatus will give buffs depending on how many Erudition Characters are on the team. As Anaxa is an Erudition Character this will always be at least 1 so he will always get the 150% CRIT DMG. If there is a 2nd Erudition Character on the team then Anaxa will increase the DPS of all allies by 50%.
Gearing Tips
Your first priority with Anaxa is reaching 100% CRIT Rate as he gets a large amount of free CRIT DMG from his A4 Trace Imperative Hiatus. If you are playing with Sunday Action Advancing Anaxa then you should reach 80% Sheet CRIT Rate as Sunday will provide the remaining 20%, otherwise aim for 100%.
Anaxa's Ideal SPD depends on his Relic Set. If you are using Eagle of Twilight Line then his SPD breakpoints will be lower than the natural SPD breakpoints. Our recommendation is to aim for the 145 SPD breakpoint as it is the most efficient in the most content and achieving the 160 SPD breakpoint requires significantly more Substats invested in SPD. If you are using Eagle of Twilight Line then we explain below the impact it has on the amount of SPD you need to gear.
With Eagle of Twilight Line you will not need to achieve the exact SPD breakpoint on Anaxa as the Action Advance from Eagle of Twilight Line will boost you. This table below will show the sheet SPDs you need to reach a Natural/Effective SPD Breakpoint depending on your Ultimate Cadence while using Eagle of Twilight Line. If you are playing an Action Advance unit like Sunday or Bronya you will have an effective 1 Turn Cycle Ultimate as you will take 2 Turns per Cycle and it takes Anaxa 2 turns to build ultimate.
| Natural | 2 Turn Cycle Ultimate (No AA Support) | 1 Turn Cycle Ultimate (AA Support) |
|---|---|---|
| 145 | 127 | 109 |
| 160 | 140 | 120 |
If you are not using Eagle of Twilight Line we do not recommend going for the 160 Effective SPD breakpoint without an external source of SPD like Cerydra as it would a significant investment of SPD Substats and it no longer be efficient. We instead recommend targeting the 145 Effective SPD breakpoint.
For Anaxa ATK% and CRIT DMG rolls are approximately equal in value with a slight preference for CRIT DMG. You should always prioritise having more useful Substat rolls over having more of either CRIT DMG or ATK%. For those comparing two different relic sets with equal number of substat rolls then a good rule of thumb for Anaxa is to try and get at least one ATK% roll for every 2 CRIT DMG rolls on gear.
Main DPS vs Sub DPS Differences
The main difference in gameplay between Main DPS and Sub DPS Anaxa is preserving Skill Points. With Main DPS Anaxa you will want Anaxa to be the main spender of Skill Points but when he is acting as a Sub DPS you will always want to guarantee your Main DPS will have enough Skill points to use their more damaging abilities on their turn. Anaxa can be used to spend Spare Skill points in an efficient manner as he still will do good DPS even as a Sub DPS.
Anaxa will still always use at least one Skill per turn even if you use a Basic ATK if the enemy has "Qualitative Disclosure". This makes Anaxa an excellent unit for The Herta as he can still generate Energy and Stacks without necessarily using Skill Points and can convert Excess Skill Points into damage at a good Rate.

Anaxa's Best Eidolons
Listed below are our calculations for Anaxa's Eidolons. Some Eidolons have
different power depending on the situation creating a range. "Diff E0" will
always use the Lower-bound of previous Eidolons.
Anaxa's first two Eidolons are quite powerful and he has uncharacteristically
strong eidolons for the remaining Eidolons. We do not suggest investing
beyond E2 as E3 lowers the efficiency of further investment unless you are
going all the way to E6.
| Eidolon | % Diff | % Diff E0 | Comment |
|---|---|---|---|
| Magician, Isolated by Stars | 12.6% | 12.6% | Good E1 as DEF Shred is universally strong. The extra skill point helps make openers smoother, especially as a Sub DPS. |
| Soul, True to History | 20.2%% | 35.3% | Very strong E2. This provides significant DPS via the RES Shred and means he can consistently have 5 Implants on the first turn to guarantee a skill repeat. |
| Pupil, Etched into Cosmos | 0.9% | 36.5% | Weak as most of his damage comes from Skill. |
| Blaze, Plunged to Canyon | 19.4% | 62.9% | Incredibly strong E4 Eidolon. |
| Embryo, Set Beyond Vortex | 8.8% | 77.2% | Excellent as most of his damage comes from his Skill and improving his Talent DMG amp is also strong. |
| Everything Is in Everything | 46.4% | 159.4% | Excellent for Hypercarry Anaxa as the best supports are not Erudition. Still strong for Sub DPS Anaxa. |
