General Information

Welcome to our PvP builds page for Rapier. Here, we provide builds for use in PvP encounters.

1.

Rapier PvP Builds

In PvP the Rapier is specifically used for its mobility and defensive abilities. It can fit into any weapon build and still be usable. It is not necessary for it to deal damage, as such, any player can take advantage of the weapon. It allows for squishy players to out-play enemies through repositioning, quick movement, and a variety of ways to escape damage.

2.

Healing

The Rapier is essentially the only weapon that a player using a Life Staff should use in PvP. There are many healing builds and the Rapier can be used in any of them. Please refer to our Life Staff guide for how to heal in New World.

3.

Musket and Rapier

The Bow will always have high damage output. The Rapier allows for a user to play more aggressive because of the plethora of mobility and survivability options at your disposal.

5.

Spear Rapier Dive

This can be played in light or medium to be a highly mobile backline diver. It will use Spear for its burst down and ability to perform crowd-control combos and the Rapier for its survivability and mobility, and depending on your build it can also be a burst damage alternative.

Spear

5.2.

Rapier

The video below highlights one of the most effective builds that uses the Spear and Rapier. This build is very common in PvP, as well as some of the most difficult PvE content that's currently in the game (such as Mutated Expeditions, the Hive of Gorgon, and more).

6.

Universal Support

This Rapier build can be played with any weapon, regardless of what attributes you use, and it will give you a secondary weapon with abilities to improve survivability. It allows you to focus on one weapon for primary damage and not need to select defensive abilities or passives with it.
