Expeditions in New World

Expeditions are a fun diversion from the normal leveling experience in New World and can be a good way to gear up at endgame as well. Each Expedition is unique and has its own bosses and environments.

Expeditions in New World: Overview

In New World, the traditional MMORPG dungeon is called an "Expedition" and can be run by a group of 3-5 players. In order to open an Expedition, one player must have a Tuning Orb for that particular Expedition. This Tuning Orb will be consumed once that player activates the Expedition by journeying to the Expedition door and interacting with it.

Below you will find short overviews of the different Expeditions with links to the corresponding guides.

Amrine Excavation

Located in Windsward, the Amrine Excavation is designed for players level 23 and above. The Main Quest line will take you through this Expedition and provide a Tuning Orb. You will find solely Lost foes here, which are weak to Nature, Ice, and Strike damage, while being strong against both Thrust and Void damage.

Starstone Barrows

Located in Everfall, Starstone Barrows is designed for players level 33 and above. You will find solely Ancient foes here, which are weak to Strike, Void, and Lightning damage, while being strong against both Slash and Fire damage.

The Depths

Located in Restless Shore, The Depths is designed for players level 43 and above. The Main Quest line will take you through this Expedition and provide a Tuning Orb. You will find solely Corrupt foes here, which are weak to Thrust, Nature, and Arcane damage, while being strong against both Strike and Ice damage.

Dynasty Shipyard

Located in Ebonscale, Dynasty Shipyard is designed for players level 53 and above. The Main Quest line will take you through this Expedition and provide a Tuning Orb. You will find solely Corrupt foes here, which are weak to Thrust, Nature, and Arcane damage, while being strong against both Strike and Ice damage.

Garden of Genesis

Located in Edengrove, the Garden of Genesis is designed for players who have reached level 60. This is an endgame Expedition that can reward the very best gear and it is recommended that you wait until you have pushed your High Water Mark as close to 600 as possible before using your own Tuning Orb, due to the cost of entry. You will find solely Angry Earth foes here, which are weak to Slash and Fire damage, while being strong against both Thrust and Lightning damage.

Lazarus Instrumentality

Located in Reekwater, Lazarus Instrumentality is designed for players who have reached level 60. This is an endgame Expedition that can reward the very best gear and it is recommended that you wait until you have pushed your High Water Mark as close to 600 as possible before using your own Tuning Orb, due to the cost of entry. You will find solely Ancient foes here, which are weak to Strike, Void, and Lightning damage, while being strong against both Slash and Fire damage.
