Spear PvP Builds for New World
Welcome to our PvP builds page for Spear. Here, we provide builds for use in PvP encounters.
Spear PvP Builds
In PvP the Spear is notorious for its abundance of single-target crowd-control options. These abilities are complemented by its burst damage opportunities and array of debuffs it can apply to targets. If you are looking for a weapon with a high skill cap and can control the pace of fights, the Spear is a great option.
Spear Dive Assassin
This capitalizes on the crowd-control effects of both weapons to dive into backlines, pick one target, and hit them with crowd-control effects while using windows of opportunity for quick bursts of damage. This is for players who like having a high level of control in a fight.
Sword and Shield
Spear Hatchet Dive
This can be played in light for more of assassin feel, or medium to play more like a bruiser. It will use Spear for its burst down and ability to perform crowd-control combos to lock players in place while doing incredible burst damage. The Hatchet provides survivability and defensiveness.
Spear Rapier Dive
This can be played in light or medium to be a highly mobile backline diver. It will use Spear for its burst down and ability to perform crowd-control combos and the Rapier for its survivability and mobility, and depending on your build it can also be a burst damage alternative.
Bow and Spear
The Bow is a high damage ranged weapon that will always use its secondary for its support and utility. For those who do not want a high mobility secondary, the Spear can be a great alternative that provides focused crowd-control and can be used for melee combat to secure kills on targets who are pushing you.
