What is the Shadow Chase Showdown Event About?
During the event, Proxies will have to help join the HIA and participate in the latest VR challenge stages.
How do you Participate in Shadow Chase Showdown?
In order to participate you will need to reach Inter-Knot level 20 and complete the Main Story Chapter 1 Intermission.
During the event, you can head over to the HIA to meet Lyla and access the new VR Challenge stages.
As always, the event includes a total of 6 Alliance stages and 3 Special Offensive stages. New stages unlock gradually throughout the event, with one themed stage becoming available each day. The Special Offensive stages will also open over time rather than all at once.
Alliance stages come with their own unique Buff Effects, and Special Offensive stages use Tactical Buffs instead. These mechanics can significantly improve your performance during the challenge, so it is worth building your runs around them to reach higher ratings and scores.
For Alliance stages, you can select from a roster of trial Agents and Bangboo provided by the event. Special Offensive stages are more restrictive and only allow the specific trial Agents assigned to that challenge. Overall it is always worth to take the trial agents. It is often the new available agents, so if you wanted to try them out, this is the perfect event for that.
For this specific challenge you want to always pick the Trial Agent, because their kit fits the challenges basically. At the same time, if you were not sure you want to pull for the new Agents, this lets you try them out in real combat as well.
Special Offensive stages also introduce a new scoring system focused on both damage output and combat execution. Dealing damage and performing specific combat techniques will earn points throughout the run.
Your final score in Special Offensive stages is based on three factors:
- Damage Score
- Technique Score
- Time Coefficient tied to your clear speed
You will have to balance between technique and dealing as much DMG as fast as possible if you want to get the max rank and rewards.
What are the Shadow Chase Showdown Rewards?
During the event, you can earn the following rewards:
- 360 Polychrome
- 24 Official Investigator Log
- 12 W-Engine Power Supply
- 6 Senior Investigator Log
- 36 Original Chip
- 12 Bangboo System Widget
