What Is a Sorceress?

Sorceresses are magi whom invoke the powers of ice, thunder, and flame and bend them at will to strike down legions of evildoers. The wise Sorceress would do well to avoid hand-to-hand combat, and possesses many ranged and defensive spells to this end.

Her Cold Spells tree manipulates cold damage, which inherently slows and shatters enemies for superior control. The Fire Spells tree exploits heat creatively to burn swathes of foes over time. The Lightning Spells tree controls electricity for high yet unpredictable damage.

What Is the Best Sorceress Build?

The Lightning Sorceress is widely recognised as one of the most powerful builds, but it requires above-average equipment to reach its full potential. On the other end of the gear spectrum, the Blizzard Sorceress is a popular starter build due to its ability to thrive with very little equipment. Fire-based Sorceresses lie somewhere in the middle. Most Sorceress builds are competitive.

4.

Is the Sorceress a Good Class for Beginners?

Not particularly. On one hand, many Sorceress builds can indeed do well with limited gear and have many ranged options to stay relatively safe. On the other hand, the class has a higher learning curve due to its general frailty, the need to manage Mana properly, and having to deal with various monster elemental immunities in later difficulties.

5.

What Is the Best Sorceress Item?

This depends entirely on your build of choice. The popular The Oculus The Oculus (typically known as Occy) may be worth noting for its versatility and fairly common rarity. All Sorceress builds will benefit from the Orb's bonus to many useful stats, including skill level, faster cast rate, primary attributes, resistances, and magic find.
