Zadnor
Zadnor is the second area of Bozja released in patch 5.55. It is the last field operation for the Shadowbringers Resistance Relic Weapons, and goes from Resistance Rank 10 to Rank 25.
Zadnor is a vast plateau overlooking a rocky wasteland, with floating rock formations and exposed Allagan ruins being caused by the Bozja incident 15 years ago. Many of the enemies found here are either Warmachina brought in by the 4th Legion, or native fauna. The Dalriada, imperial flagship of the 4th Legion, is visible to the north as a daunting landmark across the battlefield.
How Do I Begin The Story In Zadnor?
Upon starting the quest A New Playing Field and arriving for the first time, the player will find themselves in Camp Vrdelnis at the southeastern corner of the map. From here, the story will progress similarly to how it did in the Bozjan Southern Front, with players being required to increase their Resistance Rank in order to continue.
How Can I Level Up In Zadnor?
As mentioned in the main Bozja page, the best way to level up is to participate in Skirmishes and Critical Engagements as they spawn. Skirmishes and Critical Engagements in Zadnor provide significantly more Mettle than their counterparts in the Bozjan Southern Front. Once you have accrued enough Mettle to rank up, do so immediately to increase further Mettle gains from all sources. If a Duel appears, make sure you are nearby when it is completed to obtain a buff that doubles your Mettle gain for one hour.
Additionally, there are three Aetherytes available in this area: Zuprtik Point, Ljeaban Point, and Hrmovir Point. All of these require the player to reach a certain Resistance Rank and progress the story to access them.
How Do I Continue The Story in Zadnor?
The story in Zadnor will continue as your Resistance Rank increases, up to Rank 25. Unlike in Eureka, these quests appear in the Journal and any objectives are clearly marked on the map.
Once you have progressed the story far enough, you will unlock The Dalriada. This is a special dungeon for up to 48 players that has the same 60 minute cooldown as Critical Engagements, but unlike them, this cooldown can be shortened by completing Skirmishes and CEs in the area between pops. This duty must be completed in order to progress the story, and as such is not overly challenging. While it was made with 48 player groups in mind, the HP of enemies decreases with fewer players in the duty down to a minimum at 24 players. If there are less than 24 players, all participants will receive the Echo buff to keep the duty scaling balanced.
What are Resistance Honors?
Resistance Honors are buffs that players can earn after completing the main story of Save The Queen. By talking to the Resistance Councilor in Camp Vrdelnis, players can exchange 20,000,000 Mettle to obtain three Proofs of Mettle. These can then be spent on up to 10 stacks of three different buffs. Ray of Valor increases damage dealt by 3% per stack (up to 30%), Ray of Fortitude increases max HP by 5% per stack (up to 50%), and Ray of Succor increases healing potency by 10% per stack (up to 100%). The cost of each Ray increases with the amount of stacks that particular ray already has, starting at one Proof of Mettle per stack and ending at five per stack.
The most efficient way to farm Mettle (and thus, Proofs of Mettle) is to continuously farm Skirmishes in Zone 3 of Zadnor. Each one gives 270,000 Mettle when at Resistance Rank 25, which is doubled to 540,000 if under the effect of the Mettle buff gained from completing (or viewing) a Duel. Each CE in this Zone gives 675,000 Mettle at Rank 25, doubled to 1.35 million under the buff. The Dalriada gives 3.366 million Mettle, but is generally not worth doing over Skirmishes and CEs unless players can clear it exceptionally quickly, and no CEs will spawn and be missed during that time.
What Critical Engagements are in Zadnor, and How Can I Spawn Them?
There are a total of 12 Critical Engagements in Zadnor, four in each of the three areas, plus one duel in each area for a total of 15. One CE in each area also leads to that area's respective duel. All CEs have a 60 minute cooldown before they can be spawned again. All CEs are spawned by killing multiple of a specific 4th Legion mobs in their respective area. Some CEs require Skirmishes to be killed before spawning, and Duels are spawned by completing a previously spawned CE.
