Reaper DPS Gear and Best in Slot — Dawntrail 7.3

On this page, you will find the best gear and best-in-slot items for your Reaper DPS in Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail (Patch 7.3).

1.

Reaper Gearsets

This section covers the endgame best-in-slot (BiS) gear sets for Reaper across various types of content. These sets are determined by calculating the average DPS output of the rotation for each stat distribution and comparing them against other configurations. If you’d like to create and compare your own sets, you can use the gear planner developed by WynnXIV and maintained by members of The Balance Discord server.

If you are currently leveling up or gearing, you can follow the stat priorities displayed in our Melding section.

Patch 7.3 BiS

Some of the gear listed here can only be obtained by completing encounters from the AAC Cruiserweight raid tier. Note that the melds on the Babyface Champion's Ring of Slaying are not compatible with the Dragoon BiS — see the FAQ section for more details.

2.2.

Best-in-Slot: FRU

Some of the gear listed here can only be obtained by completing encounters from the AAC Light-heavyweight raid tier or the World of Darkness Chaotic Raid.

The set above offers the highest overall damage output; however, a collection of alternative sets can be found in the link below.
2.3.

Best-in-Slot: TOP

Some of the gear listed here can only be obtained by completing encounters from the AAC Cruiserweight or Abyssos raid tiers. A guide for the latter is available in the link below.

2.4.

Best-in-Slot: DSR

Some of the gear listed here can only be acquired by completing fights from the Asphodelos raid tier. A guide for the content can be found in the link below.

2.5.

Best-in-Slot: Legacy Ultimates

We’ve chosen not to include gear sets for UCoB, UwU, or TEA — collectively referred to as “Legacy Ultimates” — since gear choices make minimal difference to overall damage due to how syncing works. Any item level above those listed below will max out both substats for each encounter. With that in mind, simply follow the general stat priority outlined in the Melding section.

  • UCoB: item level 470;
  • UwU: item level 500;
  • TEA: item level 570.
