Three New Saviors of Uldum Cards Revealed

Brazen Zealot, Sandwasp Queen and Salhet's Pride make up a new early-game package for Paladin in Saviors of Uldum.

Where's Steward of Darkshire when you need her?

That was our first thought on seeing these three new Paladin cards, above, revealed during Hearthstone Grandmasters on Twitch: Brazen Zealot, Sandwasp Queen and Salhet's Pride.

Paladin has been struggling with early-game in Standard recently, unable to make good use of options like Cathedral Gargoyle and Mysterious Blade, but this trio of 1-Health Minions might help shore up that weakness. If they aren't immediately removed by opposing Hero Powers, that is.

These reveals mark the last day of Hearthstone Grandmasters Season 1, as the highest-scoring players from Europe and the Americas do battle one last time to secure their place at the Hearthstone Global Finals at Blizzcon. Korean player Surrender won the spot for the Asia-Pacific region earlier this morning.

Check out our Saviors of Uldum hub to catch up on all the latest card reveals and new mechanics.

Here's the Sandwasp token generated by Sandwasp Queen:

Well, even if these guys are immediately removed by enemy hero powers, you're forcing your opponent to spend 2 Mana instead of playing on curve. I hope Paladin makes a comeback; it's my favorite class for playing midrange.

Slahet's Pride + Untamed Beastmaster you draw 2 5/3 instead of 3/1s

Only if your 1-health minions are all beasts. This will put some restrictions to how you build your deck, excluding Brazen Zealot but also the popular Argent Squire as well as Mecharoo. Additionally it will be difficult to keep Salhet's Pride alive until you put the Beastmaster in play. If you put Beastmaster in play first, he will be your opponent's primary target and may be gone before you can kick in your combo. So all in all it seems pretty difficult to setup unless you build your whole deck specifically for it.

If Zealot's text says 'health' instead of 'attack', it would be a nice addition to any token-like strategy paladin has. Other cards support that too.
