World First Mythic Carapace of N'Zoth Taken by Complexity Limit

Recommended Posts

After a big day of progress Complexity Limit have finally done it and gained access to the final boss of Ny'alotha and Battle for Azeroth! The World First Carapace of N'Zoth kill moves them even further in the lead on 11/12, after Method didn't managed to down Il'gynoth and remained on 9/12 when they stopped raiding for the day. Check out the kill with guild comms for the final part:

The kill took them 68 wipes and the Carapace of N'Zoth was causing some serious problems for the guild just a few hours ago as it was bugged and unkillable, but after reporting the issues to Blizzard, Ion Hazzikostas replied and they managed to get the bugs fixed very quickly:

And so it's up to N'Zoth himself to make this race a worthy addition to the WoW pantheon, with the general consensus being that a first reset raid is solidly undertuned, while anything after 2 resets is overtuned.

An interesting spell added in Patch 10.2 reveals the future of dragon aspects and hints at how the patch will end. This post contains spoilers.
The spell in question is The Great Dragons with the following tooltip:
Alexstrasza, Kalecgos, Vyranoth, Ebyssian, Nozdormu, and Merithra arrive to receive the blessing of Amirdrassil.
It appears at the end of the raid, the new World Tree will manifest into Azeroth, granting all dragon aspects their power back. It's also interesting to see Vyranoth joining the fray.
At the end of Cataclysm, the dragon aspects lost their powers and became mortal again.
We've datamined some interesting models of dragon aspects with glowing eyes, suggesting they will receive their powers back.
For example, here's Merithra in her new dragon form without her eyes glowing.

Here we have Merithra with this strange "Death Knight eye glow".

Patch 10.2 adds some interesting trinkets to the game and the latest discussion revolves around Augury of the Primal Flame.
In addition to the latest feedback about Nymue's Unraveling Spindle and Rashok's Molten Heart, Blizzard also talked about Augury of the Primal Flame.

Blizzard has responded to Demon Hunter feedback over the weekend, talking about the adjustments they've made to movement-related talents.
      (Source)
This is true for many, and is one of the foremost considerations behind the adjustments we’ve made to movement-related talents, and are continuing to make.
For starters, Isolated Prey asked players to use Fel Rush for damage on CD, and that was especially unhealthy. Isolated Prey also blocked pathing for builds that would avoid the movement talents entirely, which should be a reasonable option for those with that preference.
As for Momentum itself, increasing both the base duration and duration it can stack to will further reduce how often those skills need to be used.
We will also be introducing a talent that allows Fel Rush to be reactivated shortly after use in order to dash back towards your starting location, reducing the need to constantly reorient the camera when using Fel Rush for damage. We’ll be interested in gameplay feedback about it when it’s in players’ hands, and especially whether or not it helps alleviate some of those swimmy, disorienting camera moments.
I don’t have further details to share at this moment, but we’ve read through these feedback threads and will be making iterative changes that intend to address some of the more common concerns that have been raised thus far. Thank you to those that have tested and shared your experiences; it has helped generate internal discussion and guide upcoming changes. Cheers!

Week 3 sees a big shakeup in the top percentiles, as the DK war rages on, but we now also have more contenders for the throne! Demonology is rising all over the place as many specs make their move, so let's see what's been happening.
      Mythic
      Overall Damage 95th Percentile
The top 3 keeps fluctuating as Augmentation tries to fight it out with the DKs and the red specs continually swap places. This week there's even more movement at the top, as Frost drops 3 spots down from the No.1 spot, allowing Unholy to take over, Augmenation to slip back into 2nd, and Demonology to capitalize on its fast rise, another 2 spots up into 3rd! The fallen DK at least has a familiar face to join it down outside the top 3, as its Mage namesake sits right behind it, pushed 1 down by the rising Warlock. Enhancement is up one, same as Devastation, as both get past Affliction down in 8th. While Fire remains stable, Marksmanship and Elemental join forces to take Arcane down, as the Hunter makes top 10! Retribution finds itself newly down in the bottom 3, as Havoc makes a solid run for it.

95th percentile Mythic data by Warcraft Logs.
      Overall Damage All Percentiles
The top 2 remain stable in the generalist bracket, but there's no stopping Demonology's rise as it moved 2 up in here as well. Fire is also on the rise, gaining a big 3 spots and taking its fellow Frost Mage down a peg. While Enhancement remains steady, Assassination moves past Frost DK and slots into 8th, with Devastation moves up 2 and closes out the top 10.

      Boss Only Damage All Percentiles
While Unholy and Assassination are not budging from their top spots, we do have a new No.3, as Demonology moves up here just as it has in the overall damage charts. Fire moves past Augmentation and Feral past Arms, with Fury, Balance and Havoc perpetually at the bottom.

      Heroic DPS
While Arcane has long since cemented itself at the top, we see Assassination and Affliction also dig their heels in, making the top 3 very stable for a while now. Unholy moves in 4th as Enhancement follows it up, right past an unhappy Marksmanship which is down 2. The peak of juxtaposition, top of Mythic Frost DK is still at the very bottom here and likely to stay that way for a long time, joined by Outlaw and Elemental.
