Mythic Ny'alotha Raid Progress Race Hub

Here are all the individual daily summaries, as well as other related articles:

_____________________________________________________________

Mythic Ny'alotha has arrived and the race starts today (for US and OC guilds at least), with two streaming events to watch! We'll also be doing our usual daily coverage in the form of summaries every morning (and more if something unusual happens) and this is the place for all those articles!

The race should be a damn good one this time around, if the Eternal Palace is anything to go by, as Method and Limit were very close at the end there. As the final raid of the expansion, this one holds a bit more prestige then others, and with Method having taken 3 of the major races and only lost the smaller, Crucible one, the pressure will be even higher for them to maintain their throne.

You can check out the streaming events which are already live right here (Limit not going for a slightly different name for their event is an interesting choice):

The US/OC servers are scheduled to come up at 7 PM CET, under 3 hours from now, but might come up sooner as well. Meanwhile, you can check out all our previous coverage of the race, including the recent N'Zoth double-loot drama (which still hasn't been resolved) and the WF Heroic kill on him.

And so it begins the final Mythic Raid Race of the BFA expansion.  Kinda curious on how Maut, Vexiona, and Carapace of Nzoth will play out on this tier of difficulty.

I'm predicting the N'zoth will have a rather high cloak requirement to be possible, throttling the race to at least last 3 weeks.

Was able to watch Midwinter down Wrathion on their 2nd pull.  That fight in itself was fun to watch.  But now have to clock back in from lunch and get back to work Q.Q

Can we sticky this somehow so its always on top of the feed over the next 2 weeks? (If it lasts that long)

It should be featured in the slider on frontpage soon (you have to click off the 8.3 guide stuff)

From what I remember, cloak doesn't help with insanity on him anymore

Another week has gone by in Mythic+ and we have plenty of changes, as Shamans surge, Retribution does well and more. This week's tuning hasn0t affected the rankings yet, but we'll see what happens next week!
Note: The logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      This past week was:
      Fortified, Afflicted, Raging
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
You just can't keep Fire down no matter what you do. While the top 2 remains the same, the Mage spec claws back up into 3rd after having gone down for a little while. The Shamans have united and are stronger together apparently, as they take over 5th and 6th, with Enhancement leading the way. The biggest mover this past week was definitely Retribution, as it gains 5 spots in 7th. Fury drops down 3 spots into 8th, just ahead of a very stable Havoc and a resurgent Survival, which leaps 5 up into 10th. Unholy joins Affliction and Assassination in the bottom 3.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
The top 3 is more stable in the generalist bracket, but Fire also rises here, moving quite a bit more, 3 spots in fact. Enhancement is doing better here as well and Elemental is doing even more so, with the melee side of Shamans up 2 in 5th and the spellcaster up a giant 7 spots in 9th! Retribution is up here as well and Fury is down, Windwalker moves down as well and Havoc remains the rock of both rankings, anchoring it all in 10th here.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Tanks
There's been quite the re-shuffle with tanks as we see Paladins on top and Brewmasters way down in 4th after being in the lead at the start of the season. Vengeance has also moved quite a bit up into 2nd, while Blood remains stable in 3rd and Druids and Warriors remain at the bottom.

Tank All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Healers
Shamans reign supreme still, while Discipline takes over 2nd and Holy also rises one into 3rd. Preservation is down two, while the bottom 3 remain the same as at the start of the season.
Healer All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides, as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.

Pattie's Cap is a new Alpaca mount coming in Patch 10.1.5.
The mount is rewarded upon earning the Whodunnit? achievement in Patch 10.1.5. The achievement references a new holiday called Secrets of Azeroth. We'll cover that in a separate post soon.
      Pattie
Provisionist Kathos encountered Pattie on her first assignment to Vol'dun. Pattie developed an affinity to Provisionist work but is eager to delve deeper, helping adventurers in their sleuthing.

As with other megadungeons, Dawn of the Infinite will be separated into two wings with Mythic+ and Heroic difficulty available in a future update to the game.
This will probably occur at around Season 3 when a new dungeon rotation's added.
The latest Patch 10.1.5 Build 49908 adds entries of two separate wings for the Dawn of the Infinite megadungeon, which means it will be enabled for Mythic+ in the future with Heroic difficulty available:
Dawn of the Infinite: Galakrond's Fall - The infinite dragonflight has invaded the Bronze Temple. Help Nozdormu and Chromie take back the Timeways! Dawn of the Infinite: Murozond's Rise - Murozond rises. Race against time with Chromie to correct the past!

Blizzard is adding upgrade tracks for Mythic Item Level 441 gear in Patch 10.1.5.
Currently on live servers you cannot upgrade Mythic gear. However, that's about to change in Fractures in Time when Mythic Gear will receive 3 upgrade ranks.
Rank 1 Upgrade: Item Level 441 > 443 Rank 2 Upgrade: Item Level 443 - 445 Rank 3 Upgrade: Item level 445-447 The change also applies retroactively to Great Vault loot / any loot obtained before the patch goes live, as per Reddit comments.
