Amber Guide & Best Builds
Welcome to our Amber build guide for Genshin Impact. Amber is a 4-Star Pyro Character who can be built as either a Sub DPS or a Support character. In our guide, we will cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Amber, from building the best Artifacts and Weapons to important stat priorities and rotations.
Different Amber Build Options
Amber has multiple options for how you can build her. Amber can be built as a Sub DPS or a Support character, which can impact Amber's best weapons and best artifact sets alongside how she is played. Select one of the buttons below to see either Amber's Sub DPS Build or Support Build.
A Sub DPS Amber build takes advantage of her Charged-Shot gameplay together with her Pyro application to trigger Melt. This implies you play her with Cryo characters. If you have C4+ Amber, you can build her for the Explosive Bunny playstyle.
If you want to play Amber as a support, you will mainly use her Burst to apply Pyro and buff the rest of the team. Amber's build as a support will be slightly different than DPS Amber. Most notably, her recommended weapons, artifact, and talent priority will change.
Listed below are Amber's best weapons. While weapons are listed in a priority order, what is best to build on your Amber can vary depending on the team composition and level of investment you want to put into Amber.

Amber's Stat Priority
As a DPS Amber you still need a certain amount of Energy Recharge, but way less than as a support. You do want to build up as much CRIT as possible.
Recommended Stats for Amber
Build recommendations assume a "decently built" level of artifact rolls alongside Amber's best weapon. Using other weapons may increase or decrease certain stats relative to these recommendations.
Amber's Talent Priority
For Amber's talents, as a DPS you will have to upgrade her Normal Attack first if you play with the Charged Shot mechanic. A C4+ Amber for Explosive Bunny will require you to focus on her Elemental Skill first.
As a support, Amber needs way more Energy Recharge, so make sure you cap that out first.
Recommended Stats for Amber
Build recommendations assume a "decently built" level of artifact rolls alongside Amber's best weapon. Using other weapons may increase or decrease certain stats relative to these recommendations.
Amber's support build will require between 160 - 240%, depending on the presence of a Favonius Warbow in your team or not. With Favonius you do not need to go over 200% ER.
Amber's Talent Priority
If you build Amber as a support, you upgrade her Elemental Burst first, and you can completely disregard her normal attack.
How to Play Amber
Amber can be a viable Sub DPS option. This will require you to use the Charged Shots mechanic, meaning aiming and charging your bow shot before shooting. This way you will deal Pyro damage, which will enable Melt.
Once your Amber reaches C4 or higher, you can use the Explosive Bunny mechanic. This means using her Elemental Skill to spawn her Bunny, which will taunt and lure in enemies, and then charging your shot to shoot at the Bunny and make it explode on the surrounding enemies. The Bunny is also a good way of gaining energy, as it produces a lot of particles upon exploding.
If you play Amber as a support, your only goal will be to swap her in to use her Burst and put down her Bunny. She will only be there to support a main Pyro DPS.
Amber's Best Constellations
All of Amber's constellation are helpful, right up to her C6. However, Amber is not worth chasing and spending your premium currency on. Since she is a 4-Star, you should easily obtain her Constellations with time. her C4 however, is what unlocks her Explosive Bunny playstyle since it is the constellation that adds one charge to it, and reduces the CD by 20% which is huge.
