Diluc Guide & Best Builds

Welcome to our Diluc build guide for Genshin Impact. Diluc is a 5-Star Pyro Main DPS Character who focuses on consistent on-field damage through Elemental Skill chaining and reaction-based gameplay such as Vaporize and Melt. In our guide, we'll cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Diluc, from building the best Artifacts and Weapons to important stat priorities and rotations.

Best Weapons for Diluc

Listed below are Diluc's best weapons. While weapons are listed in a priority order, what's best to build on your Diluc can vary depending on the team composition and level of investment you want to put into Diluc.

Wolf's Gravestone (R1) 120%

Wolfish Tracker

Base ATK: 608

ATK: 49.6%

Increases ATK by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%. On hit, attacks against opponents with less than 30% HP increase all party members' ATK by 40% / 50% / 60% / 70% / 80% for 12s. Can only occur once every 30s.

Wolf’s Gravestone is Diluc’s signature weapon and remains one of his best-in-slot options, providing a massive amount of ATK. When its passive is active, it further boosts team-wide ATK, making it especially strong in both Vaporize and Melt teams.
Serpent Spine (R5) 115%

Wavesplitter

Base ATK: 510

CRIT Rate: 27.6%

Every 4s a character is on the field, they will deal 6% / 7% / 8% / 9% / 10% more DMG and take 3% / 2.7% / 2.4% / 2.2% / 2% more DMG. This effect has a maximum of 5 stacks and will not be reset if the character leaves the field, but will be reduced by 1 stack when the character takes DMG.

Serpent Spine is one of Diluc’s strongest weapons due to its CRIT Rate sub-stat and powerful stacking passive. At maximum stacks, it provides a significant damage increase, though it requires careful play to maintain stacks.
Blackcliff Slasher (R5) 110%

Press the Advantage

Base ATK: 510

CRIT DMG: 55.1%

After defeating an opponent / enemy / enemy / enemy, ATK is increased by 12% / 15% / 18% / 21% / 24% for 30s. This effect has a maximum of 3 stacks, and the duration of each stack is independent of the others.

Blackcliff Slasher is a strong option thanks to its CRIT DMG sub-stat. While its passive can be difficult to maintain, it still performs well in multi-target content where stacks are easier to obtain.
The Unforged (R1) 108%

Golden Majesty

Base ATK: 608

ATK: 49.6%

Increases Shield Strength by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%. Scoring hits on opponents increases ATK by 4% / 5% / 6% / 7% / 8% for 8s. Max 5 stacks. Can only occur once every 0.3s. While protected by a shield, this ATK increase effect is increased by 100%.

The Unforged is a strong ATK-focused weapon that performs best when Diluc is shielded. It provides high ATK scaling and is comparable to Wolf’s Gravestone when its passive is active.
Mailed Flower (R5) 105%

Whispers of Wind and Flower

Base ATK: 565

Elemental Mastery: 110

Within 8s after the character's Elemental Skill hits an opponent or the character triggers an Elemental Reaction, their ATK and Elemental Mastery will be increased by 12% / 15% / 18% / 21% / 24% and 48 / 60 / 72 / 84 / 96 respectively.

Mailed Flower is one of the best F2P options for reaction-based Diluc builds, providing Elemental Mastery and additional ATK through its passive, making it ideal for Vaporize teams.
Rainslasher (R5) 102%

Bane of Storm and Tide

Base ATK: 510

Elemental Mastery: 165

Increases DMG against opponents affected by Hydro or Electro by 20% / 24% / 28% / 32% / 36%.

Rainslasher is a solid option in reaction-heavy teams, especially Vaporize. Its Elemental Mastery stat and bonus damage against affected enemies make it effective in those setups.
Prototype Archaic (R1) 100%

Crush

Base ATK: 565

ATK: 27.6%

On hit, Normal or Charged Attacks have a 50% chance to deal an additional 240% / 300% / 360% / 420% / 480% ATK DMG to opponents within a small AoE. Can only occur once every 15s.

Prototype Archaic is a reliable craftable weapon and a strong beginner option. It provides solid ATK and consistent damage without requiring specific conditions.

Best Artifacts for Diluc

Marechaussee Hunter

Marechaussee Hunter

2-Piece Set: Normal and Charged Attack DMG +15%

4-Piece Set: When current HP increases or decreases, CRIT Rate will be increased by 12% for 5s. Max 3 stacks.

Marechaussee Hunter is Diluc’s best artifact set when played with Furina, as it provides a large amount of CRIT Rate through its passive, allowing Diluc to focus more on CRIT DMG and ATK scaling.
Crimson Witch of Flames

Crimson Witch of Flames

2-Piece Set: Pyro DMG Bonus +15%

4-Piece Set: Increases Overloaded, Burning, and Burgeon DMG by 40%. Increases Vaporize and Melt DMG by 15%. Using Elemental Skill increases the 2-Piece Set Bonus by 50% of its starting value for 10s. Max 3 stacks.

Crimson Witch of Flames is Diluc’s classic best-in-slot artifact set, providing Pyro DMG Bonus and significantly increasing Vaporize and Melt damage, making it the most consistent option across all teams.

Diluc's Stat Priority

Sands of Eon: ATK % / Elemental Mastery
Circlet of Logos: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
Substats: CRIT Rate/DMG > ATK % > Elemental Mastery > Energy Recharge

Diluc primarily scales with ATK and CRIT stats. Elemental Mastery becomes more valuable in reaction-based teams such as Vaporize or Melt, where it significantly increases damage output.

When using Marechaussee Hunter with Furina, CRIT Rate requirements are reduced, allowing you to prioritize CRIT DMG and ATK more heavily.

Recommended Stats for Diluc

Build recommendations assume a "decently built" level of artifact rolls alongside Diluc's common weapon options. Using different weapons may shift these values slightly.

HP: 18,000-22,000
ATK: 1,800-2,200
CRIT Rate: 60-75%
CRIT DMG: 150-200%
ER: 120-140%
Elemental Mastery: 100-200 (Reaction Teams)

Diluc's Talent Priority

Talent Priority: Normal Attack > Elemental Skill > Elemental Burst

Diluc’s Normal Attacks should be prioritized as they make up the majority of his damage, followed by his Elemental Skill and then his Elemental Burst.

How to Play Diluc

Diluc is a straightforward on-field DPS whose gameplay revolves around chaining his Elemental Skill between Normal Attacks to maximize damage output.

His Elemental Skill can be cast three times in quick succession, allowing him to weave Normal Attacks between each cast. This creates a smooth rotation that maintains consistent Pyro application.

Diluc performs best in reaction-based teams, especially Vaporize, where he can consistently trigger reactions with characters like Xingqiu or Yelan.

His Elemental Burst provides a large AoE Pyro attack and infuses his weapon with Pyro, allowing all subsequent Normal Attacks to deal Pyro damage. This should be used early in the rotation to maximize uptime.
