Odette Guide & Best Builds

Welcome to our Odette build guide for Genshin Impact. Odette is a powerful 5-Star Cryo DPS character known for enabling and supporting the Stellar-Conduct and Stellar-Swirl reactions. In our guide, we'll cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Odette, from building the best Artifacts and Weapons to important stat priorities and rotations.

Best Weapons for Odette

Listed below are Odette's best weapons. While weapons are listed in priority order, the best choice for your Odette can vary depending on the team composition and your level of investment in her.

Whitelake Frostfeather (R1) 104%

Snow Swan's Finale

Base ATK: 674

CRIT Rate: 22.1%

When an opponent is hit with an Elemental Skill, the equipping character gains the "Prelude" effect, which increases their ATK by 8% / 10% / 12% / 14% / 16% for 8s. This effect can stack once every 0.1s, max 3 stacks. When the Prelude stack count reaches 3, the performance will reach its climax, giving the equipping character the "Closing" effect, increasing CRIT DMG dealt with Stellar reactions by 40% / 50% / 60% / 70% / 80%. During this time, the equipping character also gains 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 Elemental Energy whenever they trigger a Stellar reaction or deal Stellar reaction DMG. This can trigger once every 3.5s, and can still trigger even if the equipping character is not on the field.

Odette's signature weapon. While this is the best weapon for her own damage, it doesn't give her any additional buffing for the team, so it is a small overall increase to the total team DPS compared to using a free-to-play weapon.
Freedom-Sworn (R1) 103%

Revolutionary Chorale

Base ATK: 608

Elemental Mastery: 198

A part of the "Millennial Movement" that wanders amidst the winds. Increases DMG by 10% / 12.5% / 15% / 17.5% / 20%. When the character wielding this weapon triggers Elemental Reactions, they gain a Sigil of Rebellion. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field. When you possess 2 Sigils of Rebellion, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain "Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance" for 12s. "Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance" increases Normal, Charged and Plunging Attack DMG by 16% / 20% / 24% / 28% / 32% and increases ATK by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Rebellion for 20s. Of the many effects of the "Millennial Movement," buffs of the same type will not stack.

While not the best weapon for Odette's own damage, this weapon can give her some additional teamwide buffing. However, the DMG% it provides does not apply to Stellar reactions, and the ATK% only lasts 12 seconds. As a result, it is only a small overall increase over using a free-to-play weapon.
Primordial Jade Cutter (R1) 102%

Protector's Virtue

Base ATK: 542

CRIT Rate: 44.1%

HP increased by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%. Additionally, provides an ATK Bonus based on 1.2% / 1.5% / 1.8% / 2.1% / 2.4% of the wielder's Max HP.

Azurelight (R1) 101%

Whitehill's Bestowal

Base ATK: 674

CRIT Rate: 22.1%

Within 12s after an Elemental Skill is used, ATK is increased by 24% / 30% / 36% / 42% / 48%. During this time, when the equipping character has 0 Energy, ATK will be further increased by 24% / 30% / 36% / 42% / 48%, and CRIT DMG will be increased by 40% / 50% / 60% / 70% / 80%.

Absolution (R1) 101%

Deathly Pact

Base ATK: 674

CRIT DMG: 44.1%

CRIT DMG increased by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%. Increasing the value of a Bond of Life increases the DMG the equipping character deals by 16% / 20% / 24% / 28% / 32% for 6s. Max 3 stacks.

Exaiphanes Blade (R1) 101%

Traveler's Path

Base ATK: 608

CRIT Rate: 33.1%

When the Traveler equips this, hitting an opponent will restore 3 Elemental Energy, and will increase ATK by 16% within the next 8s. This can be triggered even when the character is off-field. This effect can occur once every 5s.

This weapon can be obtained for free in Snezhnaya. While Odette will not be able to utilize the passive effect, the high base Attack and CRIT Rate it provides still result in it being her overall best free-to-play weapon. However, if you are using your Traveler, this should always be on them instead.
Light of Foliar Incision (R1) 101%

Whitemoon Bristle

Base ATK: 542

CRIT DMG: 88.2%

CRIT Rate is increased by 4% / 5% / 6% / 7% / 8%. After Normal Attacks deal Elemental DMG, the Foliar Incision effect will be obtained, increasing DMG dealt by Normal Attacks and Elemental Skills by 120% / 150% / 180% / 210% / 240% of Elemental Mastery. This effect will disappear after 28 DMG instances or 12s. You can obtain Foliar Incision once every 12s.

Mistsplitter Reforged (R1) 101%

Mistsplitter's Edge

Base ATK: 674

CRIT DMG: 44.1%

Gain a 12% / 15% / 18% / 21% / 24% Elemental DMG Bonus for all elements and receive the might of the Mistsplitter's Emblem. At stack levels 1/2/3, the Mistsplitter's Emblem provides a 8/16/28% / 10/20/35% / 12/24/42% / 14/28/49% / 16/32/56% Elemental DMG Bonus for the character's Elemental Type. The character will obtain 1 stack of the Mistsplitter's Emblem in each of the following scenarios: Normal Attack deals Elemental DMG (stack lasts 5s), casting Elemental Burst (stack lasts 10s); Energy is less than 100% (stack disappears when Energy is full). Each stack's duration is calculated independently.

Lightbearing Moonshard (R1) 101%

Legacy of Lang-Gan

Base ATK: 542

CRIT DMG: 88.2%

Increases DEF by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%. DMG inflicted by Lunar-Crystallize reactions increases by 64% / 80% / 96% / 112% / 128% for 5s after the equipping character uses an Elemental Skill.

Uraku Misugiri (R1) 101%

Brocade Bloom, Shrine Sword

Base ATK: 542

CRIT DMG: 88.2%

Normal Attack DMG is increased by 16% / 20% / 24% / 28% / 32% and Elemental Skill DMG is increased by 24% / 30% / 36% / 42% / 48%. After a nearby active character deals Geo DMG, the aforementioned effects increase by 100% for 15s. Additionally, the wielder's DEF is increased by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%.

Emberwell (R5) 100%

Base ATK: 510

Elemental Mastery: 165

Triggering an elemental reaction increases the character's ATK by 16% / 20% / 24% / 28% / 32% for 12s, and when a Stellar-Conduct/Stellar Swirl reaction is triggered, Stellar-Conduct/Stellar Swirl DMG is also increased by 16% / 20% / 24% / 28% / 32% for 12s. The aforementioned effects can still trigger even when the equipping character is not on the field.

This is the free craftable weapon in Snezhnaya, and provides an excellent amount of stats for Odette, making it her overall best 4-star option.
Xiphos' Moonlight (R1) 98%

Jinni's Whisper

Base ATK: 510

Elemental Mastery: 165

The following effect will trigger every 10s: The equipping character will gain 0.036% / 0.045% / 0.054% / 0.063% / 0.072% Energy Recharge for each point of Elemental Mastery they possess for 12s, with nearby party members gaining 30% of this buff for the same duration. Multiple instances of this weapon can allow this buff to stack. This effect will still trigger even if the character is not on the field.

While not the best for Odette's personal damage, this can be a good option for additional support, as it provides the team with a buff to their Energy Recharge.

Best Artifacts for Odette

Disenchantment in Deep Shadow

Disenchantment in Deep Shadow

2-Piece Set: ATK +18%.

4-Piece Set: Increases Superconduct Reaction DMG by 80%. When the equipping character attacks opponents affected by Superconduct, this attack's CRIT Rate is increased by 16%. An all-new blessing may be obtained as you make your way toward Snezhnaya...

In Stellar-Conduct teams, this is the best set for Odette's personal damage. However, it will not increase her damage in Stellar-Swirl teams. Additionally, if no one else on the team is using support sets like Tenacity of the Millelith or the Stellar reaction support set, Odette should use that set instead.
7.0 Support Set

7.0 Support Set

2-Piece Set: ATK +18%.

4-Piece Set: When you trigger Stellar-Conduct, Stellar Swirl, or directly deal reaction DMG of the above types, your ATK increases by 12% and nearby party members gain a buff that increases their Stellar-Conduct and Stellar Swirl DMG by 50% for 12s. This effect is unique and cannot stack. Can be triggered even when the character is not on the field.

This set gives Odette a total of 30% ATK, alongside a large teamwide Stellar reaction DMG% buff. If no one else on the team is using this set, Odette should always use it.
Tenacity of the Millelith

Tenacity of the Millelith

2-Piece Set: HP +20%

4-Piece Set: When an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, the ATK of all nearby party members is increased by 20% and their Shield Strength is increased by 30% for 3s. This effect can be triggered once every 0.5s. This effect can still be triggered even when the character who is using this artifact set is not on the field.

If using Odette in a team where most of the damage comes from ATK-scaling DPS, and no one else is using this set, it is a great option for her, as her long 20-second duration gives her great uptime on the buffs.
Viridescent Venerer

Viridescent Venerer

2-Piece Set: Anemo DMG Bonus +15%

4-Piece Set: Increases Swirl DMG by 60%. Decreases opponent's Elemental RES to the element infused in the Swirl by 40% for 10s.

While this set can normally only be used on Anemo characters, in Stellar-Swirl teams, simply dealing the reaction damage will provide the RES Shred. As such, if no one else on the team is using this set already, Odette can use this in her Stellar-Swirl teams.

Odette's Stat Priority

Sands of Eon: ATK % or Elemental Mastery
Goblet of Eonothem: ATK % or Elemental Mastery
Circlet of Logos: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
Substats: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG > ATK % > Elemental Mastery > Energy Recharge

Odette's damage scales with ATK, so ATK% is ideal on her Sands and Goblet. However, once she reaches 3,000 ATK, Elemental Mastery becomes nearly as valuable, falling only slightly behind. CRIT should always be used on the Circlet; use CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG depending on which would give you a better ratio on your build. For the substats, CRIT should always be prioritized, but you want to get enough ATK% to reach 3,000 ATK. Energy Recharge can usually be ignored, as Odette generally doesn't cast her Elemental Burst due to the long animation time. However, some of her teams have enough time between cooldowns to cast it. If playing such a team, then it can be good to get enough Energy Recharge to Burst every rotation.

Recommended Stats for Odette

Build recommendations assume a "decently built" level of artifact rolls alongside Emberwell. Using other weapons may increase or decrease certain stats relative to these recommendations.

HP: 17,000-20,000
ATK: 2400-2600
CRIT Rate: 60-75%
CRIT DMG: 150-175%
Energy Recharge: 100-130%

These stats reflect what you would see on the stat screen, before any buffs from Odette and her teammates or Artifact set effects are applied. Her CRIT Rate will often be 15% higher from Cryo Resonance. She will also often have higher ATK than this from Artifact set effects. The Energy Recharge requirement can be ignored in most of Odette's teams. If your team has sufficient time to cast her Burst and includes a second Cryo unit, she will generally need no more than 130% Energy Recharge.

Odette's Talent Priority

Talent Priority: Slow Dance: Phantom Night Trance > Fast Dance: A Dream of Sable Feathers >>> Snow Swan Variation

Odette's Elemental Skill is where essentially all of her damage comes from, so it should always be leveled first. Her Elemental Burst is often not used at all and can be unleveled, but if you find yourself using it, it should be leveled next. Her Normal Attack talent is not an actively used part of her kit and can be ignored entirely.

How to Play Odette

Odette has a simple playstyle. She casts her Elemental Skill, which lasts 20 seconds and deals Cryo damage every 2 seconds while buffing Stellar reaction DMG%. After casting her Skill, Odette gains a follow-up Skill cast which she can use to deal a strong instance of Stellar reaction damage. Afterwards, her Skill will deal Stellar reaction damage every 2 seconds, alongside the regular Cryo damage. Odette will then swap to the next character in your rotation.

Odette's Best Constellations

Odette has very strong early Constellations, particularly C2. This Constellation gives her a large teamwide 42% ATK buff, alongside 20% RES Shred. This RES Shred is huge, because Stellar teams will often have no other source of it. It is recommended to stop at C2 on Odette.

Investment Priority: Constellation 2 > Constellation 1 >>> Weapon
Constellation % of C0 % From Previous Constellation
C0 100.00% 100.00%
C1 108.68% 108.68%
C2 134.48% 123.74%
C3 136.27% 101.33%
C4 140.65% 103.21%
C5 143.57% 102.08%
C6 194.46% 135.45%
