Sandrone Guide & Best Builds

Welcome to our Sandrone build guide for Genshin Impact. Sandrone is a powerful 5-Star Cryo DPS Character specialized in the Stellar-Conduct reaction. In our guide, we'll cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Sandrone, from building the best Artifacts and Weapons to important stat priorities and rotations.

Best Weapons for Sandrone

Listed below are Sandrone's best weapons. While weapons are listed in a priority order, what's best to build on your Sandrone can vary depending on the team composition and level of investment you want to put into Sandrone.

Sandrone's Signature Weapon (R1) 133%

Base ATK: 674
CRIT DMG: 44.1%
When the wielder is on the field, the claymore unleashes its Instanced Calculation effect and increases the wielder's ATK by 16%. During this time, when the wielder hits an opponent with a Charged Attack, the claymore will use Sampling Calculation and grant the wielder a 12% Stellar-Conduct Reaction DMG Bonus for 5s. Max 3 Sampling stacks, and 1 stack can be gained every 0.2s. When you have 3 Sampling stacks, the claymore will also gain the Overclock effect, which grants the wielder an additional 24% Stellar-Conduct Reaction DMG Bonus.

Sandrone's signature and best weapon, which is much stronger than all other options for her.
A Thousand Blazing Suns (R1) 115%

Sunset Reignites the Dawn

Base ATK: 741

CRIT Rate: 11.0%

Gain the "Scorching Brilliance" effect when using an Elemental Skill or Burst: CRIT DMG increased by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40% and ATK increased by 28% / 35% / 42% / 49% / 56% for 6s. This effect can trigger once every 10s.
While a "Scorching Brilliance" instance is active, its duration is increased by 2s after Normal or Charged attacks deal Elemental DMG. This effect can trigger once every second, and the max duration increase is 6s.
Additionally, when the equipping character is in the Nightsoul's Blessing state, "Scorching Brilliance" effects are increased by 75%, and its duration will not count down when the equipping character is off-field.

Sandrone can get full uptime on this weapon's passive, making it a great stat stick and her second strongest weapon.
Redhorn Stonethresher (R1) 109%

Gokadaiou Otogibanashi

Base ATK: 542

CRIT DMG: 88.2%

DEF is increased by 28% / 35% / 42% / 49% / 56%. Normal and Charged Attack DMG is increased by 40% / 50% / 60% / 70% / 80% of DEF.

Provides a ton of Crit DMG, making it a good stat stick even though the passive isn't useful for Sandrone.
The Unforged (R1) 108%

Golden Majesty

Base ATK: 608

ATK: 49.6%

Increases Shield Strength by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%. Scoring hits on opponents increases ATK by 4% / 5% / 6% / 7% / 8% for 8s. Max 5 stacks. Can only occur once every 0.3s. While protected by a shield, this ATK increase effect is increased by 100%.

Wolf's Gravestone (R1) 103%

Golden Majesty

Base ATK: 608

ATK: 49.6%

Increases Shield Strength by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40%. Scoring hits on opponents increases ATK by 4% / 5% / 6% / 7% / 8% for 8s. Max 5 stacks. Can only occur once every 0.3s. While protected by a shield, this ATK increase effect is increased by 100%.

Two identical weapons, providing Sandrone with a massive amount of Attack. The Unforged is better if playing Sandrone with a Shield.
Verdict (R1) 107%

Many Oaths of Dawn and Dusk

Base ATK: 674

CRIT Rate: 22.1%

Increases ATK by 20%. When party members obtain Elemental Shards from Crystallize or trigger Lunar-Crystallize reactions, the equipping character will gain 1 Seal, increasing Elemental Skill DMG by 18%. The Seal lasts for 15s, and the equipper may have up to 2 Seals at once. All of the equipper's Seals will disappear 0.2s after their Elemental Skill deals DMG. Up to 1 Seal may be obtained every second through the Lunar-Crystallize reaction.

Beacon of the Reed Sea (R1) 107%

Desert Watch

Base ATK: 608

CRIT Rate: 33.1%

After the character's Elemental Skill hits an opponent, their ATK will be increased by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40% for 8s. After the character takes DMG, their ATK will be increased by 20% / 25% / 30% / 35% / 40% for 8s. The 2 aforementioned effects can be triggered even when the character is not on the field. Additionally, when not protected by a shield, the character's Max HP will be increased by 32% / 40% / 48% / 56% / 64%.

Two identical weapons, providing Sandrone with good amounts of CRIT Rate and ATK%.
Mailed Flower (R5) 105%

Whispers of Wind and Flower

Base ATK: 565

Elemental Mastery: 110

Within 8s after the character's Elemental Skill hits an opponent or the character triggers an Elemental Reaction, their ATK and Elemental Mastery will be increased by 12% / 15% / 18% / 21% / 24% and 48 / 60 / 72 / 84 / 96 respectively.

"Ultimate Overlord's Mega Magic Sword" (R5) 104%

Melussistance!

Base ATK: 565

Energy Recharge: 30.6%

ATK increased by 12% / 15% / 18% / 21% / 24%. That's not all! The support from all Melusines you've helped in Merusea Village fills you with strength! Based on the number of them you've helped, your ATK is increased by up to an additional 12% / 15% / 18% / 21% / 24%.

Sandrone's best free to play weapon options if you have them. However, these are old event weapons that can no longer be obtained.
Tidal Shadow (R5) 100%

White Cruising Wave

Base ATK: 510

ATK: 41.3%

After the wielder is healed, ATK will be increased by 24% / 30% / 36% / 42% / 48% for 8s. This can be triggered even when the character is not on the field.

If you don't have any of the above weapons, this is your best option. You will just want to ensure that you have healing to activate the passive.
Serpent Spine (R5) (99%) (R1) 97%

Wavesplitter

Base ATK: 510

CRIT Rate: 27.6%

Every 4s a character is on the field, they will deal 6% / 7% / 8% / 9% / 10% more DMG and take 3% / 2.7% / 2.4% / 2.2% / 2% more DMG. This effect has a maximum of 5 stacks and will not be reset if the character leaves the field, but will be reduced by 1 stack when the character takes DMG.

While this is usually the best 4-star weapon for Claymore DPS, it is not great on Sandrone, as the DMG% it provides does not apply to Stellar-Conduct damage.

Best Artifacts for Sandrone

Disenchantment in Deep Shadow 100%

Disenchantment in Deep Shadow

2-Piece Set: ATK +18%.

4-Piece Set: Increases Superconduct Reaction DMG by 80%. When the equipping character attacks opponents affected by Superconduct, this attack's CRIT Rate is increased by 16%. An all-new blessing may be obtained as you make your way toward Snezhnaya...

Sandrone's best set by far, and should always be used on her. Even with medicore substats, it will be better than any other set.
A Day Carved From Rising Winds 79%

A Day Carved From Rising Winds

2-Piece Set: ATK +18%.

4-Piece Set: After a Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Elemental Skill, or Elemental Burst hits an opponent, gain the Blessing of Pastoral Winds effect for 6s: ATK is increased by 25%. If the equipping character has completed Witch's Homework, Blessing of Pastoral Winds will be upgraded to Resolve of Pastoral Winds, which additionally increases the CRIT Rate of the equipping character by 20%. This effect can be triggered even when the character is off-field.

Gladiator's Finale Shimenawa's Reminiscence 74%

Gladiator's Finale

2-Piece Set: ATK +18%.

4-Piece Set: If the wielder of this artifact set uses a Sword, Claymore or Polearm, increases their Normal Attack DMG by 35%.

Shimenawa's Reminiscence

2-Piece Set: ATK +18%.

4-Piece Set: When casting an Elemental Skill, if the character has 15 or more Energy, they lose 15 Energy and Normal/Charged/Plunging Attack DMG is increased by 50% for 10s. This effect will not trigger again during that duration.

If you do not have Disenchantment in Deep Shadow yet, you can use one of these sets in the meantime. Sandrone will not get the CRIT Rate from A Day Carved From Rising Winds but the 43 ATK% is still more than 2pc mixed set options.

Sandrone's Stat Priority

Sands of Eon: ATK % or Elemental Mastery
Goblet of Eonothem: ATK % or Elemental Mastery
Circlet of Logos: CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
Substats: Energy Recharge > CRIT Rate > CRIT DMG > ATK % = Elemental Mastery

ATK% is usually better than Elemental Mastery on the Sands and Goblet. The exact difference will depend on how many ATK and Elemental Mastery buffs Sandrone gets in your team, but it will usually be close enough to use Elemental Mastery if you have better substats on it. However, it is not advised to use Elemental Mastery on both the Sands or Goblet, just one or the other if at all. CRIT is always best for the Circlet.

Energy Recharge should be focused in the substats until you have enough to use Sandrone's Elemental Burst every rotation, then focus on CRIT. ATK% and Elemental Mastery substats are good as well, at a lower priority.

Recommended Stats for Sandrone

Build recommendations assume a "decently built" level of artifact rolls alongside Tidal Shadow. Using other weapons may increase or decrease certain stats relative to these recommendations.

HP: 14,000-16,500
ATK: 2400-2600
Energy Recharge: 130-150%
CRIT Rate: 49-62%
CRIT DMG: 125-150%

Stats reflected are before factoring in buffs from the team and Sandone's weapon and Artifact 4pc set effect, or Cryo Resonance. These are the stats you would see on the stat screen before performing your rotation. Her CRIT Rate in practice will be higher than this thanks to the set bonus and Cryo Resonance.

Sandrone's Talent Priority

Talent Priority: Formule Phenomenale: Self-Evident Proposition > Formule Phenomenale: Q.E.D. >>> Formule Phenomenale: Differential Analysis

Most of Sandrone's damage comes from her Charged Attack, so the Normal Attack talent should be prioritized. The Elemental Burst also deals a lot of damage and should be leveled next. Her Elemental Skill is the lowest portion of her damage - it should still be leveled, but doesn't need to be maxed out.

How to Play Sandrone

Sandrone's playstyle focuses around using her Charged Attack, which will last around 4 seconds. She will then cast her Elemental Skill, allowing the Charged Attack to be performed again. She will repeat this two or three times, then cast her Elemental Burst. The Elemental Burst deals more damage than a Charged Attack while taking less time to perform, and is worth building Energy Recharge to use every rotation.

Sandrone's Best Constellations

Sandrone's C6 and C4 are her strongest Constellations overall, while C2 is her strongest early Constellation. None of the Constellations prior to C6 are a particularly massive increase, but most are still good. C1 and C5 are underwhelming and not advised stopping points.

Constellation % of C0 % From Previous Constellation
C0 100%
100%
C1 106% 106%
C2 120% 113%
C3 133% 111%
C4 161% 121%
C5 168% 104%
C6 232% 139%
