This Lightcone gives ATK % as well as a DMG % boost whenever you get hit or defeat an enemy. Due to Phainon making all his allies enter the Departed state he will constantly get hit and the buff will not decrement during his Ultimate making this Lightcone very good.
This Lightcone also is the best Lightcone for Survivability because it heals Phainon when he gets hit and can occur on each of his extra turns.

Character Explanation
Phainon's gameplay focuses around his Ultimate He Who Bears the World Must Burn that transforms him into Khaslana. Phainon does not use energy to cast his Ultimate and instead uses Coreflames generated by his Skill, from his talent Pyric Corpus or from his A4 Trace Bide in Flames.
Phainon's Ultimate will cause all allies to enter the Departed state, removing them from the turn order, until Phainon's Ultimate ends. When Phainon or his allies return to the fight they will have the same Action Value left to their next turn as they did when the Ultimate was cast. If Phainon uses his Ultimate during a character's turn it will count as if their turn has already been taken so we recommend using one of their Actions then immediately queueing his Ultimate.
While transformed into Khaslana Phainon will use Scourge for his abilities in place of skill points and will heal himself for 25% Health after every Attack. Scourge is retained between Ultimates although only a maximum of 7 can be had at any one time. As he generates 4 points of Scourge when he transforms this means you can carry forward a maximum of 3 Scourge from a previous Ultimate to your next. This means you should not use Foundation: Stardeath Verdict on his penultimate extra turn if you do not have 4 Scourge, as you could use them in the next Ultimate.
During his Ultimate Transformation he does not take regular turns, only the 8 Extra Turns from his Ultimate or from his Eidolon 2 Sky and Earth Churn Mortal Froth. A mechanic with Extra Turns is that buffs and debuffs do not expire while you are taking an Extra Turn allowing you to have short duration buffs like Bronya's Combat Redeployment for his entire Ultimate.
Gearing Tips
The most important thing with Phainon is to make sure your in combat CRIT Rate is capped. Phainon gets a large amount of CRIT DMG from his best support units so CRIT Rate takes priority over CRIT DMG or ATK %.
When evaluating gear choices, ATK % is roughly equivalent to 0.8 rolls of CRIT DMG which is quite good!
When gearing Phainon SPD substats have very little value because Phainon's Ultimate He Who Bears the World Must Burn has a Fixed SPD based on his Base SPD and he spends most of the fight transformed. Additionally, his best support units are Action Advance units which invalidate the need for him to gain SPD so you can run him at base SPD and advance him with fast Advance Supports.
If you are playing Sparkle you need to be careful to make sure that after Sparkle's Action Advance that Phainon will have his turn before any other Action Advance unit on your team or it will effectively waste Sparkle's Action Advance. This may require a few SPD substats unlike some of his other teams.
Sustainless Teams
Due to Phainon naturally being self sustaining during his Ultimate He Who Bears the World Must Burn and making all his Allies Depart when transforming via his ultimate it is possible to play sustainless teams more easily than with other Main DPS. These teams are not suitable for all content and may make it harder for you to clear but with sufficient investment can lead to some of the fastest clears in the game. While playing Sustainless you need to minimise the time your support units are on field and are vulnerable to receiving enemy attacks as they cannot heal themselves like Phainon.
Best Synergies for Phainon
Sunday is the best Action Advance support in the game. Sunday provides 20% CRIT Rate, significant CRIT DMG buff and 30% DMG boost in addition to the Action Advance. Sunday's Ultimate also targets Phainon so it will generate two stacks of Coreflame (one for targeting, one for generating energy).
Bronya is a powerful Action Advance unit that provides a large single turn DMG increase with her Skill and ATK % and CRIT DMG % with her Ultimate. Bronya targets with her Skill and Ultimate so both grant stacks of Coreflame. The large Single Turn buff from her skill means Bronya has to be the last unit to act before Phainon's Ultimate so he has the buff for his entire Ultimate, we suggest Bronya being slightly slower than other advance units to make this easier.
Sparkle is a powerful Action Advance unit that provides a large CRIT DMG increase with her Skill as well as passive ATK % and DMG %. Sparkle targets with her Skill and Ultimate so both grant stacks of Coreflame. Sparkle's buff effectively lasts for two turns making her convenient to use, although care has to be made for SPD tuning to not waste her Action Advance.
Tingyun is a 4★ Harmony unit that is quite strong with Phainon. Tingyun provides a moderate increase to ATK % and DMG % and makes Phainon deal Additional DMG on attack. Tingyun targets with her Skill and Ultimate so both grant stacks of Coreflame. Tingyun is especially powerful as she is naturally very with Dance! Dance! Dance! which is a very strong 4★ Limited Lightcone.
The Remembrance Trailblazer is a strong support unit with Phainon Teams. The Remembrance Trailblazer does not provide as many stacks of Coreflame as other support units but provides 36% damage replication as True DMG alongside a large CRIT DMG buff.
Huohuo is an excellent Sustain unit for Sustain Phainon teams. As a Sustain Unit Huohuo will provide 45% DMG from Phainons A4 Trace Bide in Flames as well as granting stacks of Coreflame. Huohuo's Ultimate grants 40% ATK to Phainon as well as an additional Coreflame from the Energy Generation.
Hyacine is a strong Sustain Unit for Phainon Teams. Hyacine will trigger Phainons A4 Trace Bide in Flames whenever she heals Phainon which will give Phainon 45% increased DMG. Additionally, she will generate stacks of Coreflame from both her Skill and Ultimate as they both count as targeting Phainon. Little Ica's healing will still heal Phainon even while Little Ica is departed.

This is not a comprehensive list of teams. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect its power level. We have included several example teams that are more F2P friendly using 4★ characters that are lower power than the 5★ teams as examples. The sustain unit in each team can be swapped out.
Phainon's Best Eidolons

different power depending on the situation creating a range. "Diff E0" will
always use the Lower-bound of previous Eidolons.
Phainon's first two Eidolons are exceptional while the rest are weaker or Niche
making E2 the best stopping point for value.
