Mists of Pandaria Classic Fury Warrior Rotation and Cooldowns

Last updated on Jun 24, 2025 at 12:00 by Abide

On this page, you will learn how to optimize the rotation of your Fury Warrior in both single-target and multi-target PvE situations in Mists of Pandaria Classic. We also have advanced sections about cooldowns, procs, etc. in order to minmax your DPS.

1.

Fury Warrior Stances

Warriors have three different stances, each having unique functions that are needed in certain situations. In Mists of Pandaria, all spells can be used in any stance, meaning you should only choose a stance based on your needs at the time.

  • Battle Stance Icon Battle Stance — Grants you high Rage when you deal melee damage. Since all abilities can be used in any stance, you will use Battle Stance Icon Battle Stance most of the time.
  • Defensive Stance Icon Defensive Stance — Decreases damage taken by 25% and significantly increases threat generation, but you generate no Rage from damage taken or damage dealt. Use this only to reduce the damage of major raid abilities.
  • Berserker Stance Icon Berserker Stance — Grants some Rage from melee damage, less than Battle Stance Icon Battle Stance generates, but also grants Rage from damage taken. Use this whenever there is high raid-wide damage going out.
2.

Fury Warrior Single-Target Rotations

If you have not already, we recommend reading the Spells Summary page first. Knowing how each spell and ability works in detail will greatly increase your understanding of the topics discussed on this page.

2.1.

Single-Target Rotation

FuryFury has a very fast-paced, active playstyle, always having an ability to use to decimate their enemies.

As a FuryFury Warrior you will need swap between Battle Stance Icon Battle Stance and Berserker Stance Icon Berserker Stance depending on the incoming raid damage to manage your Rage. Play around Colossus Smash Icon Colossus Smash by pooling high Rage up when it is about to come off cooldown, and burst as hard as you can during the debuff time-frame. Your rotation will change depending on Colossus Smash Icon Colossus Smash:

2.2.

Outside of Colossus Smash

When Colossus Smash Icon Colossus Smash is not active on the target, this is the rotation you will want to follow until Colossus Smash Icon Colossus Smash is off cooldown:

  1. Colossus Smash Icon Colossus Smash use as soon as its available;
  2. Bloodthirst Icon Bloodthirst;
  3. Raging Blow Icon Raging Blow if you have two charges, always save 1 for when Colossus Smash Icon Colossus Smash is available;
  4. Wild Strike Icon Wild Strike with Bloodsurge Icon Bloodsurge procs;
  5. Battle Shout Icon Battle Shout or Commanding Shout Icon Commanding Shout;
  6. Wild Strike Icon Wild Strike as a filler;
  7. Heroic Strike Icon Heroic Strike if you are Rage capped.
2.3.

During Colossus Smash

When Colossus Smash Icon Colossus Smash is active on the target, you will want to follow a higher-burst rotation. Never use Colossus Smash Icon Colossus Smash while the debuff is still on your target, as you do not want to waste the debuff.

  1. Bladestorm Icon Bladestorm / Dragon Roar Icon Dragon Roar;
  2. Raging Blow Icon Raging Blow if you have two charges;
  3. Bloodthirst Icon Bloodthirst;
  4. Raging Blow Icon Raging Blow if Bloodthirst Icon Bloodthirst is unavailable;
  5. Wild Strike Icon Wild Strike when Raging Blow Icon Raging Blow and Bloodthirst Icon Bloodthirst are unavailable;
  6. Heroic Strike Icon Heroic Strike if you are Rage capped.
2.4.

Execute Rotation

During the execute phase you will want to save Rage almost exclusively for Execute Icon Executes as this will provide the most damage, espeically if you can get several off during a Colossus Smash Icon Colossus Smash debuff window.

  1. Dragon Roar Icon Dragon Roar if you took this and Colossus Smash Icon Colossus Smash is not on target;
  2. Colossus Smash Icon Colossus Smash if debuff is not up already;
  3. Execute Icon Execute;
  4. Bloodthirst Icon Bloodthirst if you are less than 30 Rage and cannot Execute Icon Execute;
  5. Raging Blow Icon Raging Blow if you have two charges and can't Execute Icon Execute;
  6. Wild Strike Icon Wild Strike if you can't Execute Icon Execute and you have Bloodsurge Icon Bloodsurge proc;
  7. Battle Shout Icon Battle Shout or Commanding Shout Icon Commanding Shout;
3.

Fury Warrior AoE Rotations

As FuryFury, your AoE rotation will vary depending on how many enemies you are fighting. Your AoE will largely revolve taking advantage of your passive skill Meat Cleaver Icon Meat Cleaver, allowing you to cleave more targets.

3.1.

Against Two and Three Targets

Here you will mostly follow a single-target rotation, but adding in a Whirlwind Icon Whirlwind every now and then, and replacing Heroic Strike Icon Heroic Strike with Cleave Icon Cleave.

  1. Colossus Smash Icon Colossus Smash use as soon as its available;
  2. Bloodthirst Icon Bloodthirst;
  3. Raging Blow Icon Raging Blow if you have two charges, always save 1 for when Colossus Smash Icon Colossus Smash is available. Will consume Meat Cleaver Icon Meat Cleaver stacks;
  4. Wild Strike Icon Wild Strike with Bloodsurge Icon Bloodsurge procs;
  5. Whirlwind Icon Whirlwind;
  6. Heroic Leap Icon Heroic Leap;
  7. Battle Shout Icon Battle Shout or Commanding Shout Icon Commanding Shout;
  8. Cleave Icon Cleave if you are Rage capped.
3.2.

Against Four or More Targets

Here we will follow a simple, pure AoE rotation. We wil

  1. Bloodthirst Icon Bloodthirst for Rage and to trigger Enrage Icon Enrage as needed;
  2. Whirlwind Icon Whirlwind until three stacks of Meat Cleaver Icon Meat Cleaver;
  3. Raging Blow Icon Raging Blow;
  4. Heroic Leap Icon Heroic Leap;
  5. Cleave Icon Cleave if you are Rage capped.
4.
