3.1.

New Class: Monk

MonkMonk, the 11th class to be added to WoW, are the latest addition coming to the game with Mists of Pandaria. With the ability to perform all three of the tank, healing, and DPS rolls in a group, MonkMonks are one the strongest classes available during this expansion.

  • BrewmasterBrewmaster — A Tank that uses Energy and Chi. Turns a percentage of damage taken into a self-inflicted, damage-over-time debuff that can be periodically cleansed to remove the stacked DoT;
  • MistweaverMistweaver — A healer that uses Mana and Chi, with a heavy focus on cleansing heals;
  • WindwalkerWindwalker — A Melee damage dealer that has to manage both Energy and Chi resources, using a mixture of abilities that require both.
3.2.

New Race: Pandaren

Pandaren are the newest race added to the game, being available for both the Alliance and Horde factions. Pandaren will start on their own, new starting area; at the end of this quest-zone, players will be presented with the choice of deciding which faction to join, the Alliance or the Horde. After selecting your faction, you will be teleported to their capital city, where you can continue your Pandas journey through Azeroth!

  • Inner Peace Icon Inner Peace — You earn twice as much rested experience;
  • Quaking Palm Icon Quaking Palm — Strikes the target with lightning speed, incapacitating them for 4 sec, and turns off your attack.
3.3.

Revamped Talent Trees & Glyphs

Talent trees have been revamped in Mists of Pandaria, no longer being a system based on earning a talent point each time you level up. Instead, you will be able to choose from 1 of 3 talent options every 15 levels. With players receiving many less talent points overall, many of the specizlation specific passives and abilities will be automatically granted to players when they choose a specialization.

The glyph system also receives an update, simplifying it greatly. Primal Glyphs have been removed, instead players will only be able to use 3 Major Glyphs and 3 Minor Glyphs. Additionally, Minor Glyphs have been re-worked to be cosmetic only, offering no in-combat bonuses. This allows players more freedom to alter the apperance of their character or certain spells!

3.4.

Pet Battles & Collection

With MoP comes the ability for players to collect and train pets, a new type of critter than can be found around the world in various areas. Interracting with one of these "Pet Critters" will initiate a combat-styled mini-game, where you can attempt to weaken the hostile pet before capturing it. A successful capture makes the pet yours, allowing you to train and level it up to increase its power.
