Introduction

Warlocks, for the most part, bring a very useful set of tools to parties and raid groups alike and are desirable for almost all content throughout the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, with at least 1 specialization always being near the top of the meters in every tier.

Affliction is extremely strong throughout Wrath Classic, bringing massive single-target and execute damage, while suffering slightly from long ramp-up times.

  • +Excellent single-target damage output.
  • +Excels in multi-DoT situations.
  • +Extremely strong damage during execute phase.
X Weaknesses
  • -Due to being a DoT spec, you have a slow ramp-up time.
  • -Absolutely no burst.
  • -Harder rotation.

Best Races for Affliction Warlock

The best race for Warlock is Human, if you are Alliance, and Orc, if you are Horde.

For Alliance players, Human grants you an excellent PvP racial in the form of Will to Survive IconWill to Survive, as well as additional Spell Power via Fel Armor IconFel Armor, Glyph of Life Tap Icon Glyph of Life Tap, and the bonus Spirit Humans gain from The Human Spirit IconThe Human Spirit.

For the Horde, Command IconCommand and Blood Fury IconBlood Fury are both very strong for a Warlock, making Orc by far the best choice.

Best Professions for Affliction Warlock

Engineering grants the most damage-increasing benefits of any profession for Warlocks and should definitely be taken as one of your choices. With the glove enchantment granting massive Haste rating, their consumable bombs, and more benefits available, Engineering is simply the top output profession by far.

Tailoring is the best pairing with Engineering for Warlocks, due to the massively powerful cloak enchant.
