Chronicle of Simmering Flavors Event Guide for Zenless Zone Zero

This event will take place during version 2.7 of the game, from March 25, 2026 until May 05, 2026.

This Event is part of the Ridu Chronicles. This means that once the event period is over, it will be documented in Ridu Chronicles and you can continue playing the event content any time you want. However, the limited-time rewards cannot be claimed after the event is over.

During this event you will have to help Simmer Hot Pot Restaurant improve their soup base and ingredients to win the battle against food critic Stephen and restore normal operations.

In order to participate you will need to reach Inter-Knot level 20 and complete Main Story Chapter 1 - Intermission.

For the best experience, we also recommended you complete the Main Story Season 2 - Epilogue New: Eridan Sunset before participating in this event.

During the event, head to sixth street to the Video Store and meet up with Eous who wants to watch the TV Program.

After that, join Nangong Yu and help the Simmer Hot Pot Restaurant with their soup base and ingredients! They desperately need to impress the food critics, but they need some help with that.

Your goal is to cook the perfect hotpot and restore the restaurant's former glory! Talk to Blaze outside the restaurant in Lumina Square.

During the event, you have access to two different types of stages: Search for Freshness and Exquisite Tastes.

The first system you get access to is Search for Freshness. There are a total of 9 stages, 3 per day, that unlock over time.

The goal is to cool your own hot pot. When you start your cooking, you get to pick the ingredients. You will notice a thumbs up emote on each ingredient, indicating the most recommended one. Some of ingredients also have special effects.

Ingredients come in three quality tiers: common, rare, and legendary. The higher the quality, the stronger the effect.

Once you selected all your ingredients, you can start cooking. The goal is to reach a certain amount of Deliciousness. In order to do that, use your mouse and left-click or Joystick and X/A on controller to move the ladle and scoop out the ingredients. Be careful because there is a countdown. Up to 25 items can be scooped per round.

When the cooking phase begins, there is also a 10% chance for each ingredient to become a Premium Ingredient. Premium ingredients have their base Deliciousness score doubled, and their effects are also enhanced. The best strategy is to scoop up Premium ingredients first!

In the base Menu you can preview how the premium ingredients look as well.

You also have the possibility to add an Ornament to your Hot Pot. Those are passive items that have a stage-wide effect such as bigger ladle or other bonuses.

After completing a chapter (so the set of 3 stages of the day) you will gain access to a taste test.

The goal is basically the same: cook your hot pot, pick your ingredients, your decoration, scoop it all out. The only difference is that in this mode you will have to complete challenges for different soup base styles under various restrictions. You have to use the interactions between different ingredients to earn higher scores, for example combos that increase the Deliciousness score of meat. The goal is to reach the high Deliciousness score.
