What is the Operation: Save Bootopia Event About?
During the event, Proxies will have to help Eous and other Bangboo friends to explore the Marcel Bootopia Amusement Island affected by a Hollow disaster.
How do you Participate in Operation: Save Bootopia?
In order to participate you will need to reach Inter-Knot level 20 and complete the Main Story Chapter 1 Intermission.
For the best experience, it is recommended to also complete the Main Story Season 2 - Epilogue New: Eridan Sunset (A) before participating in this event.
Once the event begins, head to the video store to start the story, and talk to the group of Bangboo.
You will discover that Eous has been affected by a mysterious chip of unknown origin. After taking on a commission from Dialyn and a Marcel tech specialist, you will join Eous and other Bangboo to explore the Marcel Bootopia Amusement Island, an area impacted by a Hollow disaster.
Once at Bootopia, head to the chest. When you open chests, you can transfer the content to Eous' inventory. If there are empty slots, the gear will be automatically equipped.
Chests can contain equipment, armor, consumable items, and other supplies used the enhance Eous's talents.
Bombs and health recovery items must be equipped before you want to use them. Once equipped, you can press R or L2 to use bombs, or T or arrow down to use health recovery items. The controls may depend on your keyboard or controller. You can also change your keybindings in the Options Menu.
When controlling Eous, you can use a basic attack and special attack, jump upwards, and jump forward.
- Basic Attack - Deals DMG to enemies. Repeatedly press to unleash up to four attacks.
- Special Attack - Deals DMG to surrounding enemies. Activating Special Attack right before being attacked will Block the attack.
- EX Special Attack - Hold to continuously spin to draw in enemies and deal DMG. Activating EX Special Attack right before being attacked will Block the attack.
- Pounce & Dodge - Pounce forward to deal DMG to enemies. Activating right before being attacked will dodge the attack.
- Jump - Press to jump up, hold to jump higher.
- Ultimate - Unleash a shockwave, dealing massive DMG to surrounding enemies.
As you explore, you might find other weapons. Equipping different weapons can change the effect of Eous's Ultimate.
When encountering enemies, you want to defeat the Miasma enemies first, since corruption on Eous will deal massive DMG. Against Turrets, you have to use Eous's Special Attack to deflect the attack.
Exploration & Progression
As you explore Bootopia, you will complete missions that gradually increase Eous' Access Level. As your level rises, you will unlock more areas and improve your ability to gather supplies.
During exploration, you can collect special materials used to:
- Activate Access Boosts
- Upgrade existing boosts
- Enhance Eous with various combat buffs
These upgrades are important if you want to progress nicely through the event.
Not everything is available immediately. Some event content unlocks progressively over time, so you will need to come back regularly to access all missions and rewards.
As you progress in your exploration, you can check out your map to locate your current mission target, but you can also check where facilities are located around the amusement island. Over time, Eous's abilities will also allow you to locate all the chests on the map.
When you are done with your exploration, you can leave the Island from an Evacuation Point. This allows you to leave with the current supplies you found. If Eous's HP reaches zero before you leave, all supplies collected during this run will be lost, outside of those in your Safe. So make sure you place in the Safe the items you really want to keep, and if you feel like you are too weak, it is better to retreat with everything, than lose all your supplies.
Each exploration also has a time limit. If you do not evacuate before the time runs out, it is considered as a failed operation and you will lose all the supplies you collected during that run.
