Alesh Guide & Best Builds

Welcome to our Alesh build guide for Arknights: Endfield. Alesh is a 5-star Sword Vanguard Character available in Arknights: Endfield who utilizes the Cryo element.

In our Alesh guide, we'll cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Alesh, from building the best Gear and Weapons, to important stat priorities and combos.

Alesh's Best Weapons

Finchaser 3.0
  • Strength +124 (9/9)
  • Cryo DMG +34.67% (9/9)

Suppression: Fin Chaser's Intent (9/9):
ATK +14%.
When the wielder's battle skill applies Solidification, target enemy suffers Cryo DMG Taken +19.6% for 15s.
Effects of the same name cannot stack.
Finchaser 3.0 is Alesh's signature weapon, and will likely be a better pick than the below 6-star option despite the difference in rarity. It is a simple yet effective weapon, applying a Cryo damage increase to the target when applying Solidification with his Battle Skill. Tailor-made for Alesh!
Thermite Cutter
  • Willpower +156 (9/9)
  • Attack +39% (9/9)

Flow: Thermal Release (4/9):
ATK +16%.
After the wielder's skill recovers SP or grants a Link state, the entire team gains ATK +8% for 20s.
Max stacks for effects of the same name: 2. Duration of each stack is counted separately.
It may be surprising, but Thermite Cutter could be quite useful on Alesh despite not matching his Main or Secondary attribute. His SP restoration on his Battle Skill will allow him to grant the buff of the weapon to the team, further boosting his ability to not only generate resources for the team, but also boost their damage.

Alesh's Best Essences

Essences are one of the repeatedly farmable ways to further boost the damage of your Last Rite. Which area and essence you will want to farm will depend on the weapon you are playing, as not all Essences are compatible with every weapon. Essences will increase the stats of your weapon, as well as enhance the passive effect it provides.

  • Finchaser 3.0: Strength, Cryo DMG Boost, and Suppression, farmable in The Hub, Originium Science Park And Origin Lodespring.
  • Thermite Cutter: Will Boost, Attack Boost, and Flow, farmable in The Hub, Power Plateau and Wuling City.

Essences can be further upgraded through a system called Etching which will be a long-term investment due to how much Sanity it takes to fully max out a weapon. You may therefore want to farm and Etch Essences for a signature weapon already if you plan on getting it in the near-future, even if you do not have the weapon yet. A simple +1/+1/+1 Essence for a temporary weapon like Wave Tide will be good enough until you can get your hands on Alesh's Finchaser 3.0.

Best Gear for Alesh

Frontiers
3-piece set effect: Wearer's Combo Skill Cooldown Reduction +15%.
After the wearer's skill recovers SP, the team gains DMG +16% for 15s. This effect cannot stack.
Frontiers is the best set for Alesh, providing all the attributes he needs. It also grants a team-wide damage boost after recovering SP, which is one of the reasons you are playing Alesh in the first place. Reducing his Combo Skill's cooldown is a nice bonus as well.
  • Body: Frontiers Set — Strength, Intellect, Ultimate Skill Efficiency
  • Hand: Frontiers Offpiece — Agility, Intellect, Normal Skill Efficiency
  • Kit 1: Frontiers Set — Strength, Intellect, Cryo & Electric DMG
  • Kit 2: Frontiers Set — Strength, Intellect, Cryo & Electric DMG

Leveling Gear for Alesh

Mordvolt Insulation
3-piece set effect: Wearer's Intellect +50.
When the wearer's HP is above 80%, Arts DMG +20%.

This set provides plenty of Strength and Intellect, as well as Arts DMG increases across the entire set, making this ideal as a cheaper gear set for the early and mid-game. Even in the later stages, this set offers everything Alesh needs, so this set may still be viable later into the game, allowing you to focus on improving other Operators first.

Alesh's Skill Priority

Skill Priority: Auger Angling > Unconventional Lure > One Monster Catch! > Basic Rod Casting

Prioritize leveling Alesh's Combo Skill and Basic Skill, as they will be your main source of SP generation. His Ultimate and Basic can be somewhat ignored, as the Ult only restores large amounts of SP when it actually kills enemies, and he is not built for damage.

How to Play Alesh

Alesh wants to consume Cryo Infliction as much as he can in order to restore SP, and buff the team and providing Solidification on demand. He will generally be the second character you use your Battle Skill on, requiring another Operator to apply Cryo Infliction first, before he can follow up with a Battle Skill of his own. This will solidify the enemy, which can now be shattered by a potent Physical DPS for big burst.
