Leveling Gear for Tangtang

While the above gear set is the optimal choice, it might take you some time before you will be able to craft it. Below are some of the more early and mid-game sets that we recommend until you've reached the pinnacle of craftsmanship.

Aburrey's Legacy
3-piece set effect: Wearer's Skill DMG +24%.
When the wearer casts a battle skill, combo skill, or ultimate, the wearer gains ATK +5% for 15s. The buff from each of the three skill types is unique and does not stack with itself.
Tangtang's 4-star set will grant excellent stats and escalating damage until she can equip her final gear set.
  • Body: Aburrey's Legacy Set - Aburrey Heavy Armor T1 — Agility, Strength, Combo Skill DMG Bonus
  • Hand: Roving MSGR Offpiece - Roving MSGR Fists T1 — Agility, Strength, Attack
  • Kit 1: Aburrey's Legacy Set - Aburrey Auditory Chip T1 — Agility, Strength, Combo Skill DMG Bonus
  • Kit 2: Aburrey's Legacy Set - Aburrey Auditory Chip T1 — Agility, Strength, Combo Skill DMG Bonus
Roving MSGR
3-piece set effect: Wearer's Agility +50.
When the wearer's HP is above 80%, Physical DMG +20%.
Tangtang's 3-star set will offer decent stats and useful effects until the next set.
  • Body: Armored MSGR Offpiece - Armored MSGR Jacket — Strength, Agility, HP
  • Hand: Roving MSGR Set - Roving MSGR Fists — Agility, Strength, Physical DMG Bonus
  • Kit 1: Roving MSGR Set - Roving MSGR Gyro — Agility, Attack
  • Kit 2: Roving MSGR Set - Roving MSGR Gyro — Agility, Attack
AIC Heavy
3-piece set effect: Wearer's HP +500.
After the wearer defeats an enemy, the wearer restores 100 HP. Effect trigger cooldown: 5s.
This 2-star set will work well enough for the start of the game. While it doesn't offer terribly useful effects, The stat scaling will work well enough to start.
  • Body: AIC Heavy Set - AIC Heavy Armor — Strength, Agility, Final DMG Reduction
  • Hand: Miner Wrists Offpiece - Miner Wrists — Agility, Strength, HP
  • Kit 1: AIC Heavy Set - AIC Alloy Plate — Agility, Final DMG Reduction
  • Kit 2: AIC Heavy Set - AIC Alloy Plate — Agility, Final DMG Reduction

Tangtang's Skill Priority

Skill Priority: IMA WAVERIDAAH! > DA CHIEF SEES YOU! > RIVER, TO ME! > I'LL BLOW YOUR MIND!

Tangtang is a very self-contained Operator without much interplay with other Operators. Her Combo Skill works to set up her Battle Skill and Ultimate, but doesn't actually do much of anything on its own. So focus on her Battle Skill and Ultimate first, before investing on her Combo Skill, and lastly her Basic Attack.

How to Play Tangtang

The Boss of Qingbo Stockade's rotation is a little more interesting than others. First, get a Cryo Infliction or Cryo Burst applied to the target. The easiest way to do this is with Tangtang's own Battle Skill. This will trigger her Combo Skill, allowing her to deploy Whirlpools which slow nearby enemies. Then use either Tangtang's Battle Skill or Ultimate to convert those Whirlpools into Waterspouts to provide additional damage, and apply Arts Susceptibilities to surrounding enemies.

Tangtang can place up to 2 Waterspouts before she needs to activate her battle skill or ultimate to consume them. In order to do this, Tangtang will need a separate Operator on the team to perform the Cryo Infliction or Arts Burst to trigger Tangtang's combo skill, as she can only create 1 Whirlpool by herself.
