Machinist DPS Gear and Best in Slot — Endwalker 6.4
On this page, you will find the best gear and best-in-slot items for your Machinist DPS in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker (Patch 6.4).
Machinist Gearsets (BiS)
This section covers the endgame best-in-slot gear sets for Machinist in different endgame content. The gear sets are made by calculating the average DPS output of the rotation with a given stat set and comparing it to other options. If you are interested in making your own gear sets and comparison, you can check out the Machinist Gear and Rotation Calculator.
If you are currently gearing up your Machinist, you can find more information about the stat priorities and effects in our guide's melding section.
Best in Slot by Encounter
Patch 6.4 Gearsets (Week 1 Prog Sets)
Both sets below are similar, but the 2.47 set deals around an extra 70 simulated DPS. We've included the 2.50 set in case any of you prefer the standardized GCD speed with no rotation adjustments.
Patch 6.4 Gearsets (Savage and Augmented Tome Best-in-Slot)
Portions of these gear sets can only be acquired by completing the current raid tier. A guide for the content can be found in the link below.
The Omega Protocol Best-in-Slot
Portions of these gear sets can only be acquired by completing the Abyssos raid tier. A guide for the content can be found in the link below.
Dragonsong's Reprise Best-in-Slot
With the arrival of Patch 6.3 and the new dungeon, Lapis Manalis Full Guide, dropping iLevel 605 gear, we are now able to cap item level on certain pieces to make a stronger build, averaging about 1% higher in DPS compared to previous sets.
Portions of these gear sets can only be acquired by completing the Asphodelos raid tier. A guide for the content can be found links below.
Dragonsong's Reprise Best-in-Slot (No Dungeon Gear)
The sets below use no dungeon gear. With the arrival of the new Relic weapons, the Manderville weapon is now better to use than the Asphodelos weapon. The Ultimate weapon still out-performs both the Relic and Asphodelos weapons.
The Epic of Alexander (TEA) Best in Slot
- Item level 595
With that being said, the biggest difference that can be made to your gear set will be equipping a Shadowbringers Relic weapon. Due to the nature of how substats are allocated on these weapons, it enables you to utilize more substats than what’s intended on a normal weapon. The Relic weapon provides a 1% damage increase for The Epic of Alexander. Stat allocation is as follows:
- 184 Critical Hit / 184 Determination / 99 Direct Hit
Keep in mind, the Relic weapon is NOT mandatory to clear these fights. It only provides a buffer for mistakes. It’s up to the player to make the decision if the grind is worth it.
The Weapon's Refrain (UWU) Best in Slot
- Item level 500
With that being said, the biggest difference that can be made to your gear set will be equipping a Shadowbringers Relic weapon. Due to the nature of how substats are allocated on these weapons, it enables you to utilize more substats than what’s intended on a normal weapon. The Relic weapon provides a 3.5% damage increase for The Weapon's Refrain. Stat allocation is as follows:
- 136 Critical Hit / 136 Determination / 133 Direct Hit / 63 Skill Speed
Keep in mind, the Relic weapon is NOT mandatory to clear these fights. It only provides a buffer for mistakes. It’s up to the player to make the decision if the grind is worth it.
The Unending Coil of Bahamut (UCoB) Best in Slot
- Item level 470
With that being said, the biggest difference that can be made to your gear set will be equipping a Shadowbringers Relic weapon. Due to the nature of how substats are allocated on these weapons, it enables you to utilize more substats than what’s intended on a normal weapon. The Relic weapon provides a 3.5% damage increase for The Unending Coil of Bahamut. Stat allocation is as follows:
- 127 Critical Hit / 127 Determination / 123 Direct Hit / 90 Skill Speed
Keep in mind, the Relic weapon is NOT mandatory to clear these fights. It only provides a buffer for mistakes. It’s up to the player to make the decision if the grind is worth it.
