Paladin Job Changes in Endwalker Patch 6.0

This page includes all of the changes that were made to the Paladin job in the release patch of Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, Patch 6.0.

Paladin Action Changes in Patch 6.0

In Endwalker, Paladin gains upgrades to existing defensive abilities and much needed passive healing effects through healing effects on its damaging spells. Its capstone action is a three-part combo that can be executed after Confiteor, dealing massive damage.

Paladin Weaponskill Changes in Patch 6.0

2.1.

Changes to Paladin Weaponskills

  1. Riot Blade Icon Riot Blade potency changed from 100 to 170.
  2. Total Eclipse Icon Total Eclipse potency changed from 120 to 100.
  3. Shield Bash Icon Shield Bash potency changed from 110 to 100.
  4. Shield Lob Icon Shield Lob potency changed from 120 to 100. Range increased from 15 yalms to 20 yalms.
  5. Rage of Halone Icon Rage of Halone combo potency changed from 350 to 330.
  6. Prominence Icon Prominence combo potency changed from 220 to 170.
  7. Goring Blade Icon Goring Blade combo potency cahnged from 390 to 250. Potency for damage over time changed from 85 to 65. Added damage over time effect cannot be stacked with that of Blade of Valor.
  8. Royal Authority Icon Royal Authority potency changed from 100 to 130. Combo potency changed from 550 to 420. Duration of Sword Oath changed from 15 seconds to 30 seconds.
  9. Atonement Icon Atonement potency changed from 550 to 420.

Changes to Paladin Spells

  1. Clemency Icon Clemency cure potency changed from 1200 to 1000.
  2. Holy Spirit Icon Holy Spirit potency changed from 350 to 270. Potency under Requiescat has been changed to 540. An additional effect that restores own HP with a cure potency of 400 has been added. The MP cost changed from 2000 to 1000.
  3. Holy Circle Icon Holy Circle potency changed from 250 to 130. Potency under Requiescat has been changed to 300. An additional effect that restores own HP with a cure potency of 400 has been added. The MP cost changed from 2000 to 1000.

New Paladin Spells

  1. Blade of Faith Icon Blade of Faith deals unaspected damage to target and all enemies nearby it with a potency of 250 for the first enemy and 50% less for all remaining enemies. It is a combo action from Confiteor Icon Confiteor and restores MP.
  2. Blade of Truth Icon Blade of Truth deals unaspected damage to target and all enemies nearby it with a potency of 350 for the first enemy and 50% less for all remaining enemies. It is a combo action from Blade of Faith Icon Blade of Faith and restores MP.
  3. Blade of Valor Icon Blade of Valor deals unaspected damage to target and all enemies nearby it with a potency of 420 for the first enemy and 50% less for all remaining enemies. It is a combo action from Blade of Truth Icon Blade of Truth and restores MP. Comboing will apply damage over time with a potency of 80 for the first enemy and 50% less for all remaining enemies for a duration of 21 seconds. This damage over time effect cannot be stack with that of Goring Blade Icon Goring Blade.

Paladin Ability Changes in Patch 6.0

3.1.

Changes to Paladin Abilities

  1. Spirits Within Icon Spirits Within no longer increases potency as own HP nears maximum. Potency changed to 250.
  2. Circle of Scorn Icon Circle of Scorn potency changed from 120 to 100. Potency for damage over time changed from 35 to 30. REcast time changed from 25 seconds to 30 seconds.
  3. Divine Veil Icon Divine Veil added additional effect: restores target's HP with a cure potency of 400.
  4. Intervention Icon Intervention effect changed to increase damage reduction by an additional 10% if Rampart Icon Rampart or Sentinel Icon Sentinel are active. A new effect has been added that grants Knight's Resolve and Knight's Benediction to the target. Knight's Resolve reduces damage taken by 10% for a duration of 4 seconds, and Knight's Benediction gradually restores HP with a cure potency of 250 for a duration of 12 seconds.
  5. Requiescat Icon Requiescat potency changed from 150 to 400. Duration changed from 12 seconds to 30 seconds. The effect of potency increases up to 550 as MP nears maximum has been deleted. The effect of increasing magic potency and removing cast times from spells has been removed, and now instead grants 5 stacks of Requiescat. Requiescat increases the potency of Holy Spirit Icon Holy Spirit and Holy Circle Icon Holy Circle, and these spells require no cast time while under Requiescat.
  6. Intervene Icon Intervene potency changed from 200 to 150. Range increased to 20 yalms from 15 yalms.
  7. Confiteor Icon Confiteor potency changed from 800 to 900. Added the effect action changes to Blade of Faith Icon Blade of Faith upon execution. MP cost changed from 2000 to 1000.

New Paladin Abilities

  1. Holy Sheltron Icon Holy Sheltron is a direct upgrade to Sheltron. Blocks incoming attacks for a duration of 8 seconds. Grants Knight's Resolve, reducing damage taken by 15% for a duration of 4 seconds. Also grants Knight's Benediction, gradually restoring HP with a cure potency of 250 for a duration of 12 seconds. Costs 50 Oath Gauge.
  2. Expiacion Icon Expiacion is a direct upgrade to Spirits Within. Delivers an attack to target and all enemies nearby it with a potency of 300 for the first enemy and 50% less for all remaining enemies. Also restores MP.

Removed Paladin Actions

The Enhanced Requiescat trait was deleted, as Requiescat Icon Requiescat now grants stacks instead of lasting for a set duration.

There were no changes to existing Paladin traits.

5.2.

New Paladin Traits

  1. Sheltron Mastery upgrades Sheltron Icon Sheltron to Holy Sheltron Icon Holy Sheltron.
  2. Enhanced Intervention extends the duration of Intervention Icon Intervention to 8 seconds. Grants Knight's Resolve to target, reducing damage taken by 10% for a duration of 4 seconds. Grants Knight's Benediction to target, gradually restoring HP over time with a cure potency of 250 for a duration of 12 seconds.
  3. Divine Magic Mastery II adds a healing effect of 400 cure potency to Holy Circle Icon Holy Circle and Holy Spirit Icon Holy Spirit.
  4. Melee Mastery increases the potency of Fast Blade Icon Fast Blade to 200, Riot Blade Icon Riot Blade to 170, Royal Authority Icon Royal Authority to 130, Holy Spirit Icon Holy Spirit to 270, and Atonement Icon Atonement to 420.
  5. Spirits Within Mastery upgrades Spirits Within Icon Spirits Within to Expiacion Icon Expiacion.
  6. Enhanced Divine Veil adds a healing effect to Divine Veil Icon Divine Veil with a cure potency of 400.
