Pilgrim's Traverse Floors 71-80 Guide
This page provides information about floors 71 through 80 of Pilgrim's Traverse including enemy information and boss advice.
Pilgrim's Traverse Guide for Floors 71-80
On floors 71-80, the Accursed Horde will take the form of a
Sack of Platinum Light,
and Mimics can spawn from Gold Coffers. This means that Stun can no longer be used to prevent
Pox.
Floors 71-79
As the fifth floorset of the challenge floors, players should continue to be extremely careful in and around combat. Out of combat lethal raidwides, post-death revenge AoEs, and high auto-attack damage at low HP% or due to poison debuffs can all take players off guard.
As a reminder, assume that all dodgeable attacks from both regular mobs and bosses are lethal. In some cases, a Pomander of Steel or Barkbalm Incense can prevent a death from full HP, but it will be safer to not rely on this, especially solo.
The encounter table will be located here once sufficient information has been accumulated by the community.
In the meantime, there are some enemies that should be specifically noted.
- Traverse Huldu will use Fracture, a small late-telegraphed point-blank AoE with a fast castbar. Upon death, it will use Self-destruct, a large untelegraphed point-blank AoE. This is not used if the enemy dies while Asleep. The AoE is partially proximity-based, as players may be caught at the edge of the blast and only take minimal damage.
- Traverse Scissorjaws will use Sandblast, a late-telegraphed cone-shaped AoE with a fast castbar.
- Traverse Stone Eater will use Flinging Charge upon being pulled, dashing to a target and inflicting a stackable poison DoT for 15s, up to a maximum of eight stacks. This dash also inflicts a large knockback on the target. The enemy will also use this attack as part of its regular rotation, so be aware of positioning.
- Forgiven Unbelief will use Gravel Shower, a late-telegraphed line AoE with a fast castbar. Once below 33% HP, it will frequently use Crushing Fang, an instant attack that effectively doubles its auto-attack damage.
- Forgiven Spite will use either Growing Circles of Ablution or Shrinking Circles of Ablution. Both of these consist of a late-telegraphed point-blank AoE or a late-telegraphed massive donut-shaped AoE, immediately followed by an untelegraphed use of the other AoE. Growing Circles will start with the point-blank AoE, and Shrinking Circles will start with the donut-shaped AoE.
- Forgiven Arrogance will use Hail of Heels, a late-telegraphed half-circle AoE in the direction the mob is facing. This will then be used three more times in a row, with the mob remaining stationary the entire time and the other hits all being untelegraphed.
- Traverse Worm will use Earthquake, a large late-telegraphed point-blank AoE.
- Traverse Amemet will use Topple, a late-telegraphed point-blank AoE with a fast castbar.
- Forgiven Dissention will use Trounce, a massive late-telegraphed cone-shaped AoE. It will also use Mighty Spin, a large late-telegraphed point-blank AoE.
- Forgiven Corruption will use Rolling Barrage while out of combat, a lethal room-wide AoE with a long castbar. This can be LoS'd, and will be interrupted when the mob is pulled. In combat, it will use Forward Barrage, a small late-telegraphed cone-shaped AoE with a fast castbar.
- Forgiven Slander will use Metamorphic Blast, a late-telegraphed cone-shaped AoE with a fast castbar. It will also use Orogenic Storm, a large circle AoE targeted on a random player with a late telegraph.
- Forgiven Vanity will use Peripheral Lasers, a massive uniquely telegraphed donut-shaped AoE. It will also use Cross Lasers, a massive uniquely telegraphed plus-shaped AoE.
Floor 80 Boss - Forgiven Profanity
The eighth boss of Pilgrim's Traverse, and the fifth of the challenge floorsets. With an large circular arena and simple yet lethal mechanics, players will need to move frequently in order to stay alive.
Boss Rotation Quick-Guide:- Perilous Lair or Roaring Ring + Profane Waul
- Stalking Static
- Perilous Lair or Roaring Ring + Profane Waul
- Prowling Death (Debuffs Applied)
- Perilous Lair or Roaring Ring + Profane Waul
- Repeat from Stalking Static
The arena is a large circle with no hazards. Shortly after being pulled, the boss will cast either Pelilous Lair or Roaring Ring. Lair is a large point-blank AoE, and Ring is a large donut-shaped AoE. At the same time, the boss will charge its whiskers with electricity and point them either in front or behind of itself. This shows whether the boss will use Profane Waul to attack in front of or behind itself at the same time as the castbar ends, and as such players will need to dodge both parts of this mechanic in order to resolve it successfully.
The boss will then use Stalking Static, spawning multiple orbs of lightning that tether to each other in one connected line, beginning in the centre of the arena and spiralling out to the edge. Small line AoEs will then spiral out along the connected line, and once the final orb is resolved, it will explode with a massive point-blank AoE that covers the majority of the arena. Players will need to identify the final orb and move to the opposite side of the arena before it explodes.
The boss will then use a second cast of either Perilous Lair or Roaring Ring, paired with Profane Waul, followed by using Prowling Death which will inflict all players with one of two debuffs at random. The boss will then use a third cast of Perilous Lair or Roaring Ring alongside Profane Waul, after which the debuffs will fade. Players will be afflicted wither either Nowhere to Run, a stacking debuff with a maximum of eight stacks that starts at one and increases in value each time the player moves, or with Shadow of Death, a debuff that kills the player when it expires, unless it is cleansed by taking light-aspected damage.
In order to resolve Nowhere to Run, players will need to preposition around the hitbox of the boss, and stay still once the debuff is applied. When the next cast of Perilous Lair or Roaring Ring begins, players will need to identify and move to the safe spot for the mechanic by the most direct route possible in order to gain a minimal numbers of stacks of the debuff. If players instead get Shadow of Death, they will need to be hit by Profane Waul in order to cleanse it, while still correctly avoiding being hit by either Perilous Lair or Roaring Ring. Getting hit by Profane Waul with this debuff will significantly reduce the damage taken.
After this point, the boss will begin to loop mechanics, starting back at Stalking Static.
