Leveling Rotations and Tips for Viper — Dawntrail 7.5
This page covers the rotation and action usage when leveling Viper to Level 100. This page can also be used to help when doing roulettes with level scaling by using the slider to adjust the information to your desired level.
Gear Options
When leveling up, you should always choose the piece of gear with the highest item level. You can exchange Allagan Tomestone of Poetics for gear in Mor Dhona at level 50, in Idyllshire at level 60, in Rhalgr's Reach at level 70, and in Eulmore at level 80.

Two-Minute Windows
While it is hard to gauge when the two-minute windows are prior to learning
Serpent's Ire,
it is still important to try and feed as much potency as you can into them. Below is a rotation showing how to do so, based on your
current level.

Filler
Your filler is generally just your basic 123 combo rotations. Keep them rolling as much as possible, avoid overcapping any cooldowns.
Your filler is generally just your basic 123 combo rotations. Keep them rolling as much as possible, avoid
overcapping any cooldowns and your
Uncoiled Fury stacks.
Due to
Reawaken's potency, your
Vicewinder actions are part of your filler.
Avoid capping the stacks on them as best as possible. You will also be using 1
Reawaken combo in-between your even-minute
bursts, around about the odd-minute marks.
Your 123,
Vicewinder, and
Uncoiled Fury make up your filler, in-between burst
windows. Don't overcap any resources or cooldowns and use the various buttons to adjust your rotation cleanly to set up the burst
with a 123 hit just before the first shot of
Reawaken. You will also be using 1
Reawaken combo in-between your even-minute
bursts, around about the odd-minute marks.
Mobility Options
Writhing Snap should only be used when forced away from the target for longer than
one GCD spin. Also very useful to engage new enemies in the overworld or dungeons.
Uncoiled Fury should be saved in situations where you know you will be forced off
the boss for longer than one GCD spin. It is a very strong disengaging tool, but be mindful of losing Auto-Attack uptime.
Slither can be used to quickly engage with enemies or dash to allies for safety in
stacks and dodging mechanics when you are moving slowly. It is generally advised to press this to start encounters.
Multi-Target Rotation
- Identical to the above single-target rotations.

Last Lash- You will want to occasionally use your single-target rotation to maintain your buffs during multi-target scenarios.
- These actions operate under the same concept as your basic 123 single-target actions. Shown here is just a way of keeping them straight in your head as you go - there is no requirement to use them exactly in this order, just always be sure to press a button that has the yellow ants around it.
- Use your
Vicepit combo whenever available to hit 3 or more targets with it. - Use your
Vicepit combo whenever available to hit 3 or more targets with it. Be sure to properly follow up with your
Twinfang Thresh and
Twinblood Thresh off-global actions. - Be sure to execute
Reawaken whenever available. It is always a gain to catch multiple targets in the natural cleaving
area-of-effect from the combo.
