Nilou Best Teams and Team Compositions

Columbina or Lauma can greatly enhance Nilou's Bloom teams by enabling the Lunar-Bloom reaction, which only enhances Nilou's Bountiful Cores.

• Columbina can apply off-field Hydro and increase Lunar-Bloom DMG. Columbina in a Nilou team is mainly played on-field, where she can use her Charged Attacks to apply even more Hydro and also deal personal DMG, which helps in single-target scenarios. If the party contains no healers or other Catalyst users, Columbina can equip Prototype Amber to provide party-wide healing.
• Lauma can apply off-field Dendro and also greatly increase Lunar-Bloom DMG. Lauma is often the best Dendro unit for Nilou's Bloom teams. If no other Dendro party member exists, Lauma can also equip the Deepwood Memories artifact set.

A second Hydro character is often necessary to assist in Hydro application. When a second Hydro character is played on-field, they will trigger the majority of Bountiful Cores, and therefore must have decent EM investment to deal more DMG.

• Sangonomiya Kokomi is a decent option to use as a second Hydro. Kokomi can apply and maintain decent off-field Hydro application and be swapped on-field to apply more Hydro. Kokomi is also a great healer, and can fulfill the healer role. Barbara can be used as a good 4-Star alternative for this role.
• Kamisato Ayato has decent off-field Hydro application through his Elemental Burst, and can deal some personal DMG through his Hydro-infused Normal Attacks.
• Off-field Hydro characters like Yelan or Xingqiu can be played in Nilou Bloom teams, and instead of having an on-field Hydro, a Dendro character becomes on-field. Both Yelan and Xingqiu have decent Hydro application, but specialize in single-target DMG in non-AoE fights.
• Furina's DMG buffs do not apply to Bloom Cores; however, she can deal decent off-field DMG and assist against single-target content. Furina's off-field Hydro application has a 100% uptime and is very convenient, which can make her a good option to use. However, Furina's HP drain with Bloom Cores' self-DMG makes having a dedicated healer like Baizhu or Yaoyao a must.

Having 1 Dendro character is a requirement for Nilou Bloom teams. 2 Dendro characters also unlock the Dendro resonance granting bonus EM.

• Nahida is one of the better Dendro units for Nilou Bloom teams. Nahida can apply lots of off-field Dendro by marking enemies with her Elemental Skill, and buff EM by casting her Elemental Burst. Nahida can suffer in multi-wave content, where her mark must be re-applied. Nahida can equip the Prototype Amber in teams with no dedicated healer.
• Dendro Traveler can be used for their consistent off-field Dendro application through their Elemental Burst. With 2 Hydro party members, the Elemental Burst's duration also increases.
• Baizhu is a great Dendro option for Nilou Bloom teams. Baizhu has access to party-wide healing through his Elemental Skill and applies off-field Dendro through his Elemental Burst, and even increases Bloom DMG through his passive.
• Yaoyao can be a 4-Star healer, as she can heal through her Elemental Skill and apply off-field Dendro. Yaoyao has party-wide healing through her Elemental Burst, for which she stays on-field to heal party members.
• Collei has okay off-field Dendro application through her Elemental Burst, but she can apply a large amount of Dendro instantly through her Elemental Skill, which can make her a solid offensive 4-Star option for Nilou Bloom teams.
• Alhaitham can be used on-field in a Nilou Bloom team, working well against single-target content where Nilou Bloom teams' AoE nature might struggle. As Alhaitham will be on-field, he would usually be paired with off-field Hydro characters.
