Baizhu Guide & Best Builds

Welcome to our Baizhu build guide for Genshin Impact. Baizhu is a 5-star Dendro support character who is focused on healing, shields, and on-field Dendro application. In our guide, we will cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Baizhu, from building the best artifacts and weapons to important stat priorities and rotations.

Best Weapons for Baizhu

Listed below are Baizhu's best weapons. While weapons are listed in a priority order, what is best to build on your Baizhu can vary depending on the team composition and level of investment you want to put into Baizhu.

Jadefall's Splendor

Primordial Jade Regalia

Base ATK: 608

HP: 49.6%

For 3s after using an Elemental Burst or creating a shield, the equipping character can gain the Primordial Jade Regalia effect: Restore 4.5 / 5 / 5.5 / 6 / 6.5 Energy every 2.5s, and gain 0.3% / 0.5% / 0.7% / 0.9% / 1.1% Elemental DMG Bonus for their corresponding Elemental Type for every 1,000 Max HP they possess, up to 12% / 20% / 28% / 36% / 44%. Primordial Jade Regalia will still take effect even if the equipping character is not on the field.

Jadefall's Splendor is Baizhu's signature weapon and his best-in-slot option due to the HP % and buffs it provides. However, it is not necessarily worth investing in Jadefall's Splendor, as you can have a similar effect if you have an R5 Prototype Amber, which is a craftable 4-star option.
Prototype Amber

Gilding

Base ATK: 510

HP: 41.3%

Using an Elemental Burst regenerates 4 / 4.5 / 5 / 5.5 / 6 Energy every 2s for 6s. All party members will regenerate 4% / 4.5% / 5% / 5.5% / 6% HP every 2s for this duration.

Prototype Amber is the best F2P weapon you can use for Baizhu. At R5 it is equivalent, if not better, to his signature weapon. It provides a good amount of energy generation and HP, and can provide a huge amount of team-wide healing.
Other Catalyst Options

On top of the listed options, Baizhu can effectively utilise a very wide range of catalysts with examples being:

Best Artifacts for Baizhu

Ocean-Hued Clam

Ocean-Hued Clam

2-Piece Set: Healing Bonus +15%.

4-Piece Set: When the character equipping this artifact set heals a character in the party, a Sea-Dyed Foam will appear for 3 seconds, accumulating the amount of HP recovered from healing (including overflow healing). At the end of the duration, the Sea-Dyed Foam will explode, dealing DMG to nearby opponents based on 90% of the accumulated healing. (This DMG is calculated similarly to Reactions such as Electro-Charged, and Superconduct, but is not affected by Elemental Mastery, Character Levels, or Reaction DMG Bonuses). Only one Sea-Dyed Foam can be produced every 3.5 seconds. Each Sea-Dyed Foam can accumulate up to 30,000 HP (including overflow healing). There can be no more than one Sea-Dyed Foam active at any given time. This effect can still be triggered even when the character who is using this artifact set is not on the field.

Ocean-Hued Clam is the most general and viable Artifact set for Baizhu's build. It will help with Baizhu's healing, and deals additional damage to surrounding enemies when the Foam explodes. Song of Days Past can be a similar option, giving +15% Healing Bonus as well and some additional DMG to the party.
Deepwood Memories

Deepwood Memories

2-Piece Set: Dendro DMG Bonus +15%.

4-Piece Set: After Elemental Skills or Bursts hit opponents, the targets' Dendro RES will be decreased by 30% for 8s. This effect can be triggered even if the equipping character is not on the field.

If no one else in your team is wearing Deepwood Memories this is the best option for Baizhu. It increases Dendro DMG and reduces Dendro RES. But if someone else already wears it, there is no point in having it equipped twice in the same team. Keep also in mind that Baizhu can struggle to activate the 4-piece passive of Deepwood.

Baizhu's Stat Priority

Sands of Eon: HP % / Energy Recharge
Goblet of Eonothem: HP %
Circlet of Logos: HP %
Substats: Energy Recharge > HP % > HP > EM > CRIT Rate (With Favonius)

Baizhu's build should focus on Energy Recharge until you hit the requirement, and you should focus on HP after that, since his healing scales on the amount of HP he has.

Recommended Stats for Baizhu

Build recommendations assume a "decently built" level of artifact rolls alongside Baizhu's best weapon. Using other weapons may increase or decrease certain stats relative to these recommendations.

HP: 50,000
EM: 50 - 100
ER Double/Solo Dendro: 140 % / 200 %

For Baizhu's support build, prioritize enough Energy Recharge to use his Burst consistently, then build as much HP as possible. You will want to aim for 50,000 HP and at least 140 % ER, increasing to 200 % if he is the only Dendro unit in the team and no Favonius weapons are being used. CRIT Rate is only needed if Baizhu is using Favonius Codex.

Baizhu's Talent Priority

Talent Priority: Holistic Revivification > Universal Diagnosis >>> The Classics of Acupuncture

Baizhu's most important talents to level are his Elemental Burst and Skill. His Normal Attack can be left unleveled because it has poor DMG scaling and is rarely used.

How to Play Baizhu

Baizhu will mainly use his Universal Diagnosis and Holistic Revivification. Since his heal is on his Elemental Skill, it allows for a regular healing rotation, while you can swap to Baizhu when his Burst is ready and proc his shield, which will stay on the active character.

You will not use Baizhu's The Classics of Acupuncture in a support build, unless you need to apply a bit more Dendro.

The heal from Universal Diagnosis will affect the entire team. However, it is a short-ranged skill, meaning that if you want the skill to hit more than one enemy, they need to be close together before you send it out. It will heal you whether it hits or not, but if it does not hit, it will not apply any Dendro.

Baizhu's rotation is fairly simple:

  1. Use his Universal Diagnosis to apply Dendro, which will also heal you if needed
  2. Use his Holistic Revivification to apply the shield
  3. Swap through your other teammates
  4. Swap back to him when his Universal Diagnosis is ready again (it has 10s cooldown)

Baizhu's Best Constellations

Baizhu has very good constellations; however, he is already excellent at C0. His healing and buffs are more than sufficient for most situations at C0. If you want to invest, his C1 is worth it as it gives you an additional charge on Universal Diagnosis, increasing his healing and Dendro application. His C4 will boost the team's Elemental Mastery, which can be a significant damage increase.
