Fu Xuan Build Comments

Character Overview Kit Overview Team Synergy

Character Overview

Fu Xuan is a strong sustain character, combining great survivability with valuable offensive buffs. Rather than relying on large heals or shields, she keeps the team alive by reducing incoming enemy damage, redirecting a portion of damage to herself, and providing consistent HP recovery.

On top of her defensive support, she also enhances the team's Max HP and CRIT Rate, while protecting allies from Crowd Control effects. Thanks to her HP-scaling kit and high base HP, Fu Xuan is very durable and can easily function as a solo sustain in most teams with enough investment.

Kit Overview

Fu Xuan's kit revolves around keeping the team safe through damage reduction instead of direct healing. Her Talent passively reduces the damage all allies take, while also allowing her to automatically restore a large portion of her own HP if she falls below half health. This self-heal is refreshed by using her Ultimate, making Ultimate uptime important for maintaining her survivability.

Fu Xuan's Skill activates Matrix of Prescience, redirecting 65% of the damage allies receive to Fu Xuan herself. While Matrix is active, allies also gain increased Max HP and CRIT Rate, giving both defensive and offensive value. Since Fu Xuan scales mainly with Max HP, building as much HP as possible not only improves her durability but also increases her own damage.

Her Ultimate deals AoE Quantum damage based on her Max HP, restores a charge for her self healing Talent, and, through one of her Bonus Traces, provides a small team-wide heal. Although the healing isn't massive, it's usually enough when combined with her damage reduction and redirection.

The Bonus Traces further strengthen her role by improving Energy generation, adding healing to her Ultimate, and allowing Matrix to completely block all allies incoming Crowd Control effect once per enemy action and once each time Matrix is activated. This makes her especially valuable against enemies that rely on Freeze, Imprisonment or other disabling mechanics.

Overall, Fu Xuan is highly Skill Point-efficient, as Matrix of Prescience lasts for 3 turns and does not need to be refreshed every turn. Recasting her Skill before Matrix expires can be useful when you need to refresh her Crowd Control protection or generate additional Energy through her Bonus Trace.

Team Synergy

Fu Xuan fits easily into almost any team thanks to her reliable sustain, but she shines most in CRIT-focused compositions. Her CRIT Rate buff makes building DPS characters easier, while her Max HP increase and powerful defensive support allow damage dealers to focus entirely on offense without worrying about survivability.

She pairs particularly well with hypercarry teams that want a single sustain capable of keeping everyone alive while also contributing useful buffs. Characters that benefit heavily from CRIT stats benefit most from her support.

Although she can be used alongside another defensive character in more difficult content, Fu Xuan is usually strong enough to be the team's only sustain, freeing up an extra slot for another buffer or damage dealer. Her combination of damage reduction, Crowd Control protection, HP support, and CRIT buffs makes her one of the most universally useful defensive characters.

Fu Xuan's Best Eidolons

  • E1 – Fu Xuan's Skill grants the entire team a valuable CRIT DMG buff, making it a strong Eidolon and an excellent stopping point if you don't plan on investing beyond her E1.
  • E6 – Fu Xuan's Ultimate deals additional DMG based on HP lost by allies while her Skill is active, greatly increasing her damage potential.
  • E4 – Fu Xuan restores a small amount of Energy whenever an ally is hit while her Skill is active, helping her use her Ultimate more often.
  • E2 – Fu Xuan's Skill lets allies survive a fatal hit once per battle. It's a nice safety net, but most won't need it if Fu Xuan is built well.
