Rossi Guide & Best Builds

Welcome to our Rossi build guide for Arknights: Endfield. Rossi is a 6-star Sword Guard Character available in Arknights: Endfield who utilizes the Physical element.

In our Rossi guide, we'll cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Rossi, from building the best Gear and Weapons, to important stat priorities and combos.

Rossi's Best Weapons

Lupine Scarlet
  • Agility +156 (9/9)
  • Critical Rate +19.5% (9/9)

Fracture: Gnashing Wolves (4/9):
ATK +25.6%.
After the wielder's skill deals Critical DMG, the wielder gains 1 stack of Wolven Blood that grants Physical and Heat DMG Dealt +1.6%. Wolven Blood can reach 16 stacks. After reaching 16 stacks, the wielder gains another Physical and Heat DMG Dealt +38.4% for 20s. After the duration ends, all Wolven Blood stacks are removed.
Lupine Scarlet is Rossi's signature weapon. It's big draw lies in its boost to Critical Damage and its ability to grant Wolven Blood stacks to Rossi through its weapon skill. It does require a bit of build up, as it wants the wielder to stack Wolven blood 16 times before it fully pays off, however upon reaching the required stack count the wielder will have a massive Physical and Heat damage boost which makes the entire build-up worth the trouble for big burst.
Glorious Memory
  • Agility +156 (9/9)
  • Crit Rate +19.5% (9/9)

Twilight: Lingering Glow (4/9):
Cd: +0.5
ATK +11.2%.
When the wielder's skill applies Vulnerability, during the next ultimate cast within 30s, the wielder gains DMG Dealt +19.2%.
Max stacks for effects of the same name: 3. Duration of each stack is counted separately. Effect is only triggered once every 0.5s.
Glorious Memory is one of version 1.1's Protocol Pass weapon options and synergizes with Vulnerable application. The wielder gets bonus damage for a period of time after applying Vulnerable using their skill, which benefits Rossi pretty well. It still falls short of her signature weapon, but that is of course on purpose for Protocol Pass weapons. Still, if you're not pulling for Rossi's signature weapon Lupine Scarlet, this will more than suffice as a backup option.
Sundering Steel
  • Agility +124 (9/9)
  • Physical DMG +34.67% (9/9)

Combative: Anthem of Cinder (9/9):
Cd : +0.1
ATK +14%.
When the wielder deals a Physical Status, the wielder gains ATK +21% for 20s.
Max stacks for effects of the same name: 2. Duration of each stack is counted separately. Effect only triggers once every 0.1s.
Sundering Steel offers a flat Attack boost which increases further whenever a Physical status is inflicted. Rossi easily maintain's 100% uptime on max stacks for this, making this a strong 5-star option for raw Attack power.
Wave Tide
  • Intellect +93 (9/9)
  • Attack +23.4% (9/9)

Pursuit: Unending Cycle (9/9):
When the wielder casts a combo skill, the wielder gains ATK +33.6% for 20s.
Effects of the same name cannot stack.
For a 4-star Option, Wave Tide will work well. Due to the ease of access to 5-star options, this weapon should only ever be used in a leveling situation and replaced with something better as soon as possible.

Rossi's Best Essences

Essences are one of the repeatedly farmable ways to further boost the damage of your Rossi. Which area and essence you will want to farm will depend on the weapon you are playing, as not all Essences are compatible with every weapon. Essences will increase the stats of your weapon, as well as enhance the passive effect it provides.

  • Lupine Scarlet: Agility, Critical Rate Boost, and Fracture, farmable in Originium Science Park, Power Plateau, and Wuling City.
  • Glorious Memory: Agility, Critical Rate Boost, and Twilight, farmable in Origin Lodespring, and Wuling City.
  • Sundering Steel: Agility, Physical Dmg Boost, and Combative, farmable in Originium Science Park, Origin Lodespring, and Power Plateau.
  • Wave Tide: Intellect, Attack Boost, and Pursuit, farmable in Originium Science Park and Power Plateau.

Essences can be further upgraded through a system called Etching which will be a long-term investment due to how much Sanity it takes to fully max out a weapon. You may therefore want to farm and Etch Essences for a signature weapon already if you plan on getting it in the near-future, even if you do not have the weapon yet. A simple +1/+1/+1 Essence for a temporary weapon like Sundering Steel or Wave Tide will be good enough until you can get your hands on Rossi's Lupine Scarlet or Glorious Memory from Arsenal Ticket draws.

Best Gear for Rossi

MI Security
3-piece set effect: Wearer's Critical Rate +5%.
After the wearer scores a critical hit, the wearer gains ATK +5% for 5s. This effect can reach 5 stacks. At max stacks, grant an additional Critical Rate +5%. This effect cannot stack.
The MI Security is Rossi's best in slot set. Rossi gains Ultimate Gain Efficiency from the MI Security Armor T1, while gaining Critical Rate boosts from the MI Security Scope T1 Kit Pieces. For her Offpiece, the Redeemer Gloves offer a large agility boost as well as an increase to Rossi's Ultimate Damage. Cuprium Component's will be required to build these though, so if you haven't reached that point in the game quite yet, look below for sets that will prove useful in the meantime.
Roving MSGR
3-piece set effect: Wearer's Agility +50.
When the wearer's HP is above 80%, Physical DMG +20%.
The Roving MSGR is Rossi's best purple option. Rossi gains HP from the Roving MSGR Jacket T1, while gaining Attack boosts from the Roving MSGR Gyro T1 Kit Pieces. For her Offpiece, the Miner Gloves T2 offer an increase to Rossi's Attack as well. The options for purple sets are limited for Rossi, but the good news is that this set's bonus is fairly easy to keep active, provided you don't get hit too often.

Leveling Gear for Rossi

While the above gear set(s) are the optimal choice, it might take you some time before you will be able to craft them. Below is one of the more early and mid-game sets that we recommend until you've reached the pinnacle of craftsmanship.

Roving MSGR
3-piece set effect: Wearer's Agility +50.
When the wearer's HP is above 80%, Physical DMG +20%.
Rossi is an Agi-Int Operator which makes the Blue Rarity Roving MSGR Insulation set a great choice for her during the early game. The set effect itself is also quite easy to maintain as long as you don't get hit all that often. The Roving MSGR Jacket Armor piece grants an attack bonus while the two Roving MSGR Flashlight Kit pieces boost Combo Skill Damage. This is rounded out by the Miner Gloves offpiece that also boosts attack.

Rossi's Skill Priority

Skill Priority: Moment of Blazing Shadow > "Razorclaw" Ambuscade > Crimson Shadow > Seething Wolfblood

Rossi's combo skill is generally why you have Rossi on the team, as allows you to consume Arts Inflictions and convert them into Vulnerable stacks instead. There is also a timing-component to this skill, where using the Combo Skill at the exact moment the UI indicates its empowered status, you will apply an additional stack of Vulnerable to the enemy. Leveling up this skill also directly buffs her Critical rate and damage, making it the obvious first focus.

Her Ultimate is second because it is a large source of her outgoing damage. Her ultimate has additional Critical damage scaling, which is a high priority for an Operator who is building into Critical rate already.

Third is her battle skill Crimson Shadow, which boosts her damage multipliers during sequence 1 and 2, as well as her stagger during both sequences.

How to Play Rossi

Rossi's kit is pretty unique among the roster of Operators we’ve gotten to date. She can act as either a primary or sub-DPS, giving her incredible flexibility, although her kit is definitely more geared towards a sub-DPS role. Rossi can apply Lift through her Battle Skill and Combo Skill, but more importantly, her Combo Skill allows her to consume Arts Infliction stacks and convert them into additional Vulnerable stacks instead.

Rossi is also the first Operator to have an ability that requires specific timing on the button input. Her Combo Skill will trigger twice in sequence, and while you can safely use the first sequence immediately, you will want to wait a little on the second one. After about half a second to a second of the Combo prompt showing up, the circle around her Combo-portrait turns yellow. If you use your Combo input at that exact moment, you will apply an additional stack of Vulnerable to your target!

Rossi is one of the few Crit-based Operators in the game, and with full investment she can put out some incredible damage. This will require her signature weapon Lupine Scarlet to fully utilize though. Even when not played as a main-DPS, you will want to lean into her Crit focus, as her second Talent: Seething Blood heals her whenever she deals critical damage, making her a very durable Guard Operator.

When playing her as a main DPS with her signature weapon, you will typically want to wait until you reach the max stacks of your Lupine Scarlet. The weapon will build up stacks for each crit with your skills, buffing your damage for each stack, and once you reach 16 stacks, you will double the bonus for 20 seconds at which point the cycle starts anew. You may have your Ultimate available earlier than that, so make sure to keep track of the buff before you commit its usage, otherwise you may end up missing out on a very powerful damage multiplier.
