Lifeng Guide & Best Builds

Welcome to our Lifeng build guide for Arknights: Endfield. Lifeng is a 6-star Polearm Guard Character available in Arknights: Endfield who utilizes the Physical element.

In our Lifeng guide, we'll cover everything you need to know to get the most out of your Lifeng, from building the best Gear and Weapons, to important stat priorities and combos.

Lifeng's Best Weapons

Mountain Bearer
  • Agility +156 (9/9)
  • Physical DMG +43.33% (9/9)

Efficacy: Weight of Mountain (4/9):
Against Vulnerable enemies, the wielder gains DMG Dealt +32%.
When the wielder's battle skill applies Vulnerability, the wielder gains All Attributes +12.8% for 15s. When the wielder's battle skill applies Physical Susceptibility, the wielder gains All Attributes +12.8% for 15s.
The two effects apply separately and do not stack with themselves.
Lifeng's signature weapon. This weapon massively boosts Lifeng's damage, and then continues to do so further as Lifeng applies Vulnerability and Physical Susceptibility.
Valiant
  • Agility +156 (9/9)
  • Physical DMG +43.33% (9/9)

Combative: Virtuous Gain (4/9):
ATK +16%.
After the wielder applies Physical Statuses, the wielder also deals another hit of Physical DMG equal to 192% of the wielder's ATK.
A lighter version of Mountain Bearer. This Polearm also performs the function of providing Lifeng with bonus damage as he applies his Physical Statuses, but to lesser effect.
Chimeric Justice
  • Strength +124 (9/9)
  • Ultimate Gain Efficiency +37.14% (9/9)

Brutality: Cemented Fury (9/9):
Critical Rate +8.4%.
When the wielder applies Vulnerability to an enemy with no Vulnerability stacks, the wielder gains ATK +42% for 15s.
Effects of the same name cannot stack.
Since no 5* Polearms are Agility scalars, Lifeng will run his secondary scalar of Strength for his 5* selection. It's certainly not a bad pick, as Ultimate Gain Boost and Attack Boost when applying Vulnerability are both very beneficial to him.
Pathfinder's Beacon
  • Agility +93 (9/9)
  • Attack +23.4% (9/9)

Inspiring: Start of a Saga (9/9):
When the wielder's HP is above 80%, ATK +42%.
A baseline weapon, granting a small amount of bonus damage.

Lifeng's Best Essences

Essences are one of the repeatedly farmable ways to further boost the damage of your Lifeng. Which area and essence you will want to farm will depend on the weapon you are playing, as not all Essences are compatible with every weapon. Essences will increase the stats of your weapon, as well as enhance the passive effect it provides.

  • Mountain Bearer: Agility, Physical DMG Dealt, and Efficacy, farmable in Originium Science Park and Origin Lodespring.
  • Valiant: Agility, Physical DMG Dealt, and Combative, farmable in Originium Science Park and Origin Lodespring.
  • Chimeric Justice: Strength, Ultimate Gain Boost, and Brutality, farmable in Wuling City.
  • Pathfinder's Beacon: Agility, Attack Boost, and Inspiring, farmable in Originium Science Park and Power Plateau.

Essences can be further upgraded through a system called Etching which will be a long-term investment due to how much Sanity it takes to fully max out a weapon. You may therefore want to farm and Etch Essences for a signature weapon already if you plan on getting it in the near-future, even if you do not have the weapon yet. A simple +1/+1/+1 Essence for a temporary weapon like Chimeric Justice will be good enough until you can get your hands on Lifeng's Mountain Bearer.

Best Gear for Lifeng

Listed below are some of the sets that work best for Lifeng, based on the information we gathered during the CBT2.

Swordmancer
3-piece set effect: Wearer's Stagger Efficiency Bonus +20%.
After the wearer applies a Physical Status, the wearer also performs 1 hit that deals 250% ATK of Physical DMG and [10 Stagger]. Effect trigger cooldown: 15s.
Lifeng's best end-game set. Everything else he gets and does wants him to apply Physical Statuses rapidly, and Stagger harder. Why not keep getting rewarded with even more damage and more Stagger for doing exactly that?
  • Body: Swordmancer Set - Swordmancer Heavy Armor — Agility, Strength, Arts Intensity
  • Hand: MI Security Offpiece - MI Security Gloves — Agility, Strength, Battle Skill DMG Bonus
  • Kit 1: Swordmancer Set - Swordmancer Flint — Agility, Strength, Physical DMG Bonus
  • Kit 2: Swordmancer Set - Swordmancer Flint — Agility, Strength, Physical DMG Bonus

Leveling Gear for Lifeng

While the above gear set is the optimal choice, it might take you some time before you will be able to craft it. Below are some of the more early and mid-game sets that we recommend until you've reached the pinnacle of craftsmanship.

Aburrey's Legacy
3-piece set effect: Wearer's Skill DMG +24%.
When the wearer casts a battle skill, combo skill, or ultimate, the wearer gains ATK +5% for 15s. The buff from each of the three skill types is unique and does not stack with itself.
This will be Lifeng's gear set for the duration of Chapter 1. It will give a decent amount of attributes and damage for that time.
  • Body: Aburrey's Legacy Set - Aburrey Heavy Armor T1 — Agility, Strength, Combo Skill DMG Bonus
  • Hand: Roving MSGR Offpiece - Roving MSGR Fists T1 — Agility, Strength, Attack
  • Kit 1: Aburrey's Legacy Set - Aburrey Auditory Chip T1 — Agility, Strength, Combo Skill DMG Bonus
  • Kit 2: Aburrey's Legacy Set - Aburrey Auditory Chip T1 — Agility, Strength, Combo Skill DMG Bonus
AIC Heavy
3-piece set effect: Wearer's HP +500.
After the wearer defeats an enemy, the wearer restores 100 HP. Effect trigger cooldown: 5s.
Lifeng's starter gives suitable stats for getting started with, while the defensive effects will encourage using him as the Controlled Operator.
  • Body: AIC Heavy Set - AIC Heavy Armor — Strength, Agility, Final DMG Reduction
  • Hand: Miner Wrists Offpiece - Miner Wrists — Agility, Strength, HP
  • Kit 1: AIC Heavy Set - AIC Alloy Plate — Agility, Final DMG Reduction
  • Kit 2: AIC Heavy Set - AIC Alloy Plate — Agility, Final DMG Reduction

Lifeng's Skill Priority

Skill Priority: Turbid Avatar > Aspect of Wrath > Heart of the Unmoving > Ruination

Lifeng's Skill priorities will tidily follow his skill rotation, so you will want to prioritize his Battle Skill and Combo Skill over his Ultimate, and finally his Basic Skill. Lifeng is also enjoyable to use as the Controlle Operator in combat. If you do so, bump up the priority of his Basic Attack to the third spot instead.

How to Play Lifeng

Lifeng's playstyle makes him very much a main force in your teams. He'll start with a Turbid Avatar, applying Vulnerable and Physical Susceptibility. Following that, go through with a Final Strike from his Ruination in order to trigger his Aspect of Wrath, acquiring the Link buff. The pieces on the board set, activate his Ultimate, Heart of the Unmoving, the Knock Down the enemies and consume his Link to deal massive damage to the area.

Following this cycle, use another character who can consume Vulnerability so that Lifeng can once more bring his wrath.
