Welcome to our Zhuang Fangyi build guide for Arknights: Endfield. Zhuang Fangyi is a 6-star Arts Unit Striker Character available in Arknights: Endfield who utilizes the Electric element.

Zhuang Fangyi's Best Weapons

Suppression: Streaming Blitz (4/9):
Electric DMG Dealt +25.6%.
When the wielder's battle skill consumes Arts Reactions, the wielder gains Battle Skill Electric DMG Dealt +32% for 20s. This effect can reach 2 stacks. Duration of each stack is counted separately. This effect only triggers once every 0.1s.
After the wielder casts an ultimate, the wielder gains Battle Skill Electric DMG Dealt +64% for 25s. This effect cannot stack.

Zhuang Fangyi's signature Weapon, available from the Drifting Raft Issue. Zhuang Fangyi, either in or out of her Empyrean of Truth state, will take powerful advantage of this weapon. As a reward for consuming with her battle skill, this weapon will provide a major boost to her battle skill damage. Even more so during her ultimate!

Efficacy: Overlapping Flickers (4/9):
ATK +11.2%.
When the wielder gains Electric Amp, the wielder also gains Electric DMG Dealt +8.8% for 30s.
Max stacks for effects of the same name: 3. Duration of each stack is counted separately. This effect only triggers once every 0.1s.

Zhuang Fangyi's secondary Signature Weapon, available from the Wrothful Tides Protocol Pass. This weapon will grant whenever she receives an Electric Amp, for example when her Force of Nature talent triggers from using her own battle skill. This effect can also be activated by receiving Electric Amp from other Operators, i.e. , which will allow you to reach the maximum stacks on the buff. Since this is an Electric Amp, it will also boost her basic attack and combo skill damage, making it a noticeably weaker, but decent, alternative.

Inspiring: Mortise-and-Tenon Analysis (9/9):
Main Attribute +14%.
Arts Intensity +70.

A generic 5-star Arts Unit. Zhuang Fangyi can make full use of all features of this weapon.

Suppression: Emergency Boost (9/9):
When the wielder's battle skill hits the enemy, the wielder gains ATK +33.6% for 20s.
Effects of the same name cannot stack.

A generic 4-star Arts Unit. Zhuang Fangyi can make full use of all features of this weapon.

Zhuang Fangyi's Best Essences

Essences are one of the repeatedly farmable ways to further boost the damage of your Zhuang Fangyi. Which area and essence you will want to farm will depend on the weapon you are playing, as not all Essences are compatible with every weapon. Essences will increase the stats of your weapon, as well as enhance the passive effect it provides.

Of special note, Zhuang Fangyi's Signature Weapon, Lone Barge, shares the same Essence stats as her 4-star weapon option, Fluorescent Roc.

Lone Barge: Will, Attack Boost, and Suppression, farmable in The Hub and Originium Science Park.
Flickers in the Mist: Will, Electric DMG Boost, and Efficacy, farmable in The Hub, Originium Science Park, and Marker Stone.
Monaihe: Will, Ultimate Gain Boost, and Inspiring, farmable in Originium Science Park, Qingbo Stockade, and Marker Stone.
Fluorescent Roc: Will, Attack Boost, and Suppression, farmable in The Hub and Originium Science Park.

Best Gear for Zhuang Fangyi

3-piece set effect: Wearer's ATK +10%.
Whenever the wearer consumes Electrification or Corrosion, the wearer gains a number of buff stacks equal to the Status Level of the Arts Reaction consumed, with each buff stack giving Electric DMG Dealt and Nature DMG Dealt +15% for 25s. The number of buff stacks maxes out at 3 stacks. Duration of each stack is counted separately.

This new Hedonite Component gearset is specifically tailored for Zhuang Fangyi. It grants a stacking buff that builds more stacks the higher the level of the consumed Arts Reaction - perfect for an Operator like Zhuang Fangyi who is going to do exactly that! The buff lasts 25 seconds, and you'll likely refresh its duration before it even runs out.

Leveling Gear for Zhuang Fangyi

While the above gear set is the optimal choice, it might take you some time before you will be able to craft it. Below are some of the more early and mid-game sets that we recommend until you've reached the pinnacle of craftsmanship.

3-piece set effect: Wearer's Ultimate Gain Efficiency +20%.
The wearer casts a battle skill, the action returns 50 SP. This effect only triggers 1 time per battle.

Zhuang Fangyi's 4-star set has a great set effect and suitable stats.

3-piece set effect: Wearer's Will +50.
When the wearer's HP is below 50%, Treatment Effect +30%.

Zhuang Fangyi's 3-star set offers passable stats and effects.

3-piece set effect: Wearer's HP +500.
After the wearer defeats an enemy, the wearer restores 100 HP. Effect trigger cooldown: 5s.

This 2-star set will work well enough for the start of the game. While it doesn't offer terribly useful effects, The stat scaling will work well enough to start.

Zhuang Fangyi's Skill Priority

Zhuang Fangyi strikes with the strength and speed of lightning! Once the first Electrification or Electric Infliction is applied to the target, her thunder rolls out the devastation! She is not a character that can be used independently, but with the right team support, she can be a powerful addition to your roster. Her skills are designed to work in synergy with each other, so it's important to use them in the right order to maximize her damage output.

With these factors in mind, her battle skill takes the highest priority as her main driver, followed by her ultimate. Her combo skill and basic attack are interchangeble for 3rd and 4th priority.

How to Play Zhuang Fangyi

Kicking off Zhuang Fangyi's rotations starts with getting an Electric Infliction or Electrification on the target. As of now, only Perlica may apply these effects reliably, but we expect more characters to be added in the future. Once the target is afflicted, Zhuang Fangyi can unleash her skills.

If the target is starting from an Electric Infliction state, perform a Final Strike or Finisher on that target. This will trigger Zhuang Fangyi's Combo Skill. This will do a massive amount of Electric DMG, and convert the Electric Infliction into an Electrification. Once in this state, you may then use Zhuang Fangyi's Battle Skill, consuming the Electrification to create 3 Sunderblades which will unleash Thunder Strikes, dealing high Electric DMG to the enemies.

The real fun hits when Zhuang Fangyi's Ultimate becomes available. Ideally, you'll enter this state with Electrification already on the target to maximize her DPS output. Everything gets amped up in this state. Her Battle Skill will apply Electric Infliction on its own. Her first casting of it won't consume SP or Electrification, and her Combo Skill will become an AoE with a faster cooldown. What this all means? Ability spam time! Prove that lightning can in fact strike twice by hitting her Battle Skill twice in a row. Get a Final Strike in to trigger her Combo Skill, then start following that pattern until her Ultimate ends.
