Chiori Best Teams and Team Compositions
Chiori is a 5-Star Geo Sword user in Genshin Impact who deals Geo damage from off-field via her Elemental Skill. This guide will focus on Chiori's best builds, artifacts, weapons and best team compositions.
Chiori's Best Teams & Character Synergies
Welcome to our Chiori team composition guide and character synergies overview for Genshin Impact. In this guide, we'll explore the best teams to build for Chiori, including recommended characters, character synergies, and team compositions to help Chiori reach her full damage potential.
Best Pairings and Synergies With Chiori
If Chiori is not at C1+, she performs best when paired with a Geo Construct so that she can get two Tamoto dolls instead of one, allowing her to deal far more damage. This can be from characters that directly create Geo Constructs of their own, or characters that enable Lunar-Crystallize, as the Moondrifts from the reaction are considered Geo Constructs.
Chiori will generally be used in a team with an on-field Geo DPS, as these teams will usually have buffs for Geo DMG that both she and the on-field DPS can benefit from together. If you have a C6 Chiori, you can instead use her as the on-field DPS and shift the focus to maximizing her own damage.
Columbina is one of the best supports to use in a team with Chiori, as she enables and buffs Lunar-Crystallize, while providing the necessary Hydro application to trigger the reaction. Columbina also deals high amounts of direct Lunar-Crystallize damage of her own, allowing her to benefit from buffs to Geo damage alongside Chiori.
Like Columbina, Linnea enables and buffs Lunar-Crystallize. She provides good buffing via her Geo RES Shred and acts as a powerful Geo sub-DPS alongside Chiori. Linnea also provides healing, so she can cover the team's sustain slot.
Similar to Linnea, Xilonen provides RES Shred and healing, while offering much more buffing thanks to the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City set, but she doesn't enable Lunar-Crystallize or deal good damage of her own. Using Chiori and Xilonen together can make a decent team core, enabling Geo resonance while Xilonen provides strong buffs to both your on-field DPS and Chiori. However, Xilonen does not work in teams with more than two Geo units, which holds back the synergy, as this means she can't be used together with powerful characters like Linnea or Gorou. Xilonen's buffing will work in these teams at C2, but she still won't be able to heal with her Elemental Burst.
The Crit DMG from Gorou's C6 as well as the DEF% from his Ascension 1 passive talent are team-wide, so Chiori will benefit from them even off-field. Since Gorou buffs Defense and wants three Geo units to maximize his buffs, he will do well when there is another Defense-scaling Geo unit on the team alongside Chiori.
Zhongli provides a Geo Construct, a powerful Shield, and RES Shred. Similar to Chiori, Zhongli will also benefit greatly from any other Constructs on the team, as the Stone Stele from his Skill gains an additional hit for each Construct. This will make him especially useful in Lunar-Crystallize teams, since the Moondrifts from the reaction count as four total Constructs.
Furina provides a good teamwide DMG% buff while doing respectable damage of her own. She requires healing to get her full value, so it's recommended to use her alongside either Linnea or Xilonen. Since Furina is Hydro, if using Linnea, Furina can be used as an alternative to Columbina if you don't have her available. She can also be used in a double Hydro core alongside another Hydro unit, allowing both units to deal more damage thanks to lower Energy requirements and Hydro Resonance.
If using Linnea and not using Columbina or Furina, you will need a Hydro unit in their place. Yelan and Xingqiu are generally the best alternatives, but if you are using Albedo, Mona can also work well because she is a Hexerei character. If using Mona, you will want to give her a good amount of field time to apply Hydro with her Normal/Charged Attacks, which will also extend the duration of her Omen, allowing Chiori and Albedo to deal much more damage. At C1 and C2, Mona can also provide decent buffs to Lunar-Crystallize DMG% and Elemental Mastery.
Chiori's Best Team Compositions
Listed below are a range of team compositions we recommend you use with Chiori. Her best teams, however, can depend on both the boss you are facing and how your characters are built. The inclusion or exclusion of any given team does not necessarily reflect overall power; for example, some F2P teams may also be listed.
